Im almost 24 years old and my life experiences have brought me to a point where today, January 31, 2007, i have no idea what i believe about anything because who am i to say what is right or wrong, good or bad, art or scribble, important or not. The only thing i can think to tell you i know is that at very very minute characteristics, everything is rooted in its circular or globular properties.
There is a reason why the Earth is round, a reason why our galaxy is a circular disc that spins around its center bulge (which is globular in shape), why our universe is expanding equally in every direction creating a large expanding globe-like entity, and on a smaller level, there is a reason why atoms, protons, electrons, neutrons, quarks, and strings are circular or globular.
Im not writing this to talk about circular relativity, but rather to point out and share with anyone who reads this that there is more out there than you know, and who are we? or who am i to say what is right or wrong, good or bad, art or scribble, important or not? Christians believe there is a God who has a plan for humanity even on an individual level. Mormons believe that they can become gods when they die and that their women can bear spirit babies. Scientology is rooted in $$$, just like our system of government and societal sustainability. While Nihilists believe in absolutely nothing at all.
We are a deteriorating generation perpetuating a disease that is too heavily reliant upon the systems we have in place to fix the problem... and im not sure i think that its such a bad thing.
In the midst of writing all this i realized that what im writing probably seems to not be connected and jusp all over the place, and furthermore, in order to express everything i want to at the moment would take hours and be many pages long... therefore, feel free to talk to me about any of this, or anything you want for that matter, or make fun of me, whatever you want...
But i will commit to working on a brief thesis that explains what im really trying to say...

These are the words of one of my new co-workers at the Woodmore Country Club. Yes, I am finally back under the safe wing of employment. I've only been there one day but this new environment has already taught me a few things.
First, no matter how hard you work, you will never be respected as a woman in the food service industry.
Second, wealthy people seem to be generally nice, however, you'll never escape the type of person who gets upset at you because the restaurant he chose to dine in doesn't serve a particular style of cheesecake that he desires.
And lastly, you ARE allowed to drink on the job, as long as nobody sees you.
Im sure there will be a lot more to learn as i slowly recline into my position at the country club so get ready for stories and experiences that will leave you jealous and a little confused.

So for those of you who don't know there is an article in The Washington Post about Six Flags America and some disgruntled employees who were forced to change their hairstyle and now want justice...
Here are the facts...
- Dan Snyder, owner of the Washington Redskins took over the park last year and has stated that he will put a lot of effort into fixing up the park and its management and making it more "family friendly"
- The 2006 seasonal handbook states employees cannot have dreadlocks, tails, partially shaved heads, "or any hairstyle that detracts or takes away from Six Flags theming". This policy has been in place for years.
- Employees are asked to read, agree with, and familiarize themselves with this seasonal handbook prior to official employment offerings.
Heres my problem with the whole thing...
1. Jonathan DeLeon, a male employee was asked to cut his 3-foot braids which do not comply with company policy. The employees mother cut two feet of hair off but it wasn't enough. "They told me I had to cut them even shorter or go home," DeLeon said. "They said they wanted an all-American thing. That's what they said to all the black people."
Beef... If you don't want to conform to the policies of the company to which you are applying, then don't apply. I don't want to work on weekends, but being in a field where weekends are busiest, i can't have my way. I knew that before i accepted the offer of employment, and i decided it was worth it to me to give up my weekend days. I wasnt forced to do that, i chose to in order to have the job.
***note*** most of the employees are claiming that asking them to groom their hair to certain standards violates cultural rights of freedom of expression and challenges their Afrocentric individualism. So you see there is more to it then some upset employees who just want long hair or dreadlocks or beads and cornrows. The problem however is that they dont have to get a job whose policies happen to, as a byproduct, restrict that Afrocentric individualism. ***end note***
2. Linda Jones, editor of Nappy News, a newsletter for people who wear ethnic hairstyles suggests that this theme park is pointing out blacks by choosing to not accept certain hairstyles. "Why not point out mohawk or mullet [styles], too?"
Beef... First of all I have never seen any park employee with a mohawk or a mullet for that matter. Also, the handbook does state "or any hairstyle that detracts or takes away from Six Flags theming". I would consider a mohawk a hairstyle that does detract from Six Flags theming which is why i have probably never seen an employee there with one. So these stereotypically-white hairdos that this woman is referencing as things that are overlooked are not overlooked, and her attempt to point out a difference in treatment between white and black employees on a racial basis can be thrown out the window.
***note*** by pointing out mohawks and mullets, Ms. Jones is in fact suggestively stereotyping whites which is the same type of discrimination she is complaining about. ***end note***
3. Six Flags America employee Demetrius Hall, a muslim, says he will not cut his hair for religious reasons. "I've got three supervisors who are all white and they are the ones who tell me about cutting my hair."
Beef... I agree with bypassing a rule for religious reasons. However, let me refer to a previous point... Nobody is forced to take the job then be forced to cut your hair because of company policy. Hall and other employees make a decision to work there because they want to.
***note*** Where do you think these three white supervisors get their order from??? They don't just make up stuff. The orders to crack down on employees who disobey company policy comes straight from the desk of general manager, Terry Prather, an African American who has denied that the policy was antiquated or discriminatory. ***end note***
Final Babble I do know that Black Americans are still treated unfairly in this country. I have seen it and been affected by it. The point of me writing this is not to downplay the horrible social condition that is racism, it was simply to show one example of how I believe the race card is too often pulled on social issues. How can we expect to progress as a nation if we ourselves, majority and minorities both are pushing eachother further and further apart? Any replies and input are greatly welcomed.

i guess everyone must hate my car because bad stuff keeps happening.
last night my car was stolen which makes me 0 for 3. my first car died on me, my second car was broken into and everything got jacked. then that same car was stolen. then my third and most recent car got its tags stolen about 6 months ago, and last night that same car got stolen.
im pretty tired of having to deal with all this stuff, it takes a lot of time and costs a lot of money, i just wish for once something would work in my favor.
the only good thing about it this time is that ive gotten to see how much my friends care about me. a lot of people have been pretty sympathetic and have offered to help in any way possible which made me realize something...
"Cars come and go, but friends are forever"
...Or something like that. Anyways, if anybody knows of a good car to buy or for some reason feels like making my year and donating something feel free. I love my friends.

I can't believe its 2005, it feels like just yesterday everyone was all up in arms about y2k. It seems like nothing has changed. The world still sucks. People still haven't grown. Haven't learned anything. I go to Fridays and i see all these people from high school who fake happiness behind their $4 Heinekens. And girls.... These slutty girls, who learn it from watching The Real World. I feel like screaming HE DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOU HE JUST WANTS TO FUCK YOU to every girl with blonde hair, nails done, tight jeans and too much perfume. You think you are different but you are all the same, with your fake Louis Vuitton purses and your blatant false skin colors, your ringtones and your accessories. Gay marriages are wrong, yet i dont know a guy who wouldnt love to see a couple girls kissing. LIARS!! Pornography is probably one of the worst drugs our society has ever seen. Do you think Jenna Jameson is happy everytime she takes a dick in the mouth in front of a camera? Do you think she feels accomplished and confident? HELL NO. And if she says she does, its a cover up. And still we have movies like The Girl Next Door and reality shows like Fantasy Island which are geared towards the youth. Like McDonalds, the porn industry grabs them young. It is an attack on youth. The only time in our lives when we will be truely free, is littered with such... crap. Pornography is a billion dollar industry, but my cousin Hannah, and all the kids in her class have to bring a box of tissues and some toilet paper to school because if they dont, they wont get it. Schools are poor, and underpaid teachers are underappreciated. When will we all wake up from life? When will people learn? What could me writing this even do? Its not like i know everything. I dont think i even want to. All i can do is change myself and try to influence the people that i care about. If you do the same, maybe then you will be happy... I dont know.

Right now,
I am Red.
My blood, my eyes, my insides.
I read.
And to avoid hands,
I am Gray.
Bored, silent, unmotivated.
I would kill
to be Yellow.
Happy, bright, brilliant.
But instead,
I am Green.
Normal, predictable, medium.
Its obvious
you are Blue.
Bold, comfortable, unattached.
In the end,
I am Orange.
Changed, eager, excited.

thats it... i don't blog. i have never really been into blogging. once i heard a story about a woman who was blogging through a park and she was kidnapped, beaten and raped. also i dont like blogging because i hate it when other people do, heres what i mean... so i really like chips, right, and i went to this party and wanted some so bad, but this kid was blogging all the freakin chips. another time when i was young i was attacked by a neighbors blog, the blog got out of its leash and jumped on me, and to this day i am still afraid of blogs for that. another reason i dont like blogs is that when i was 10 i went to an amusement park with my uncle and he took me on this blog ride, you know two seater, in the water, not on a track, well anyway, the water was real strong and around a turn i got knocked off the blog and into the water and i almost drowned. screw blogs. i hate them.
