Paul and my friend Gordon Duguid died last week in Tasmania.

He was hit by a truck on a highway and it sounds like he walked in front of the truck on purpose. Paul and I have been very sad since hearing this and are feeling a long way from home being over in London, far from the friends and family who remain to wonder why.

Gordon's memorial will be in Brisbane on Monday, December 24, at 9.30am at the Centenery Memorial Gardens, 353 Wacol Station Road, Sumner Park, Brisbane. Paul created a group on Facebook called Friends of Gordon.

We miss you Gordon. And wish you'd been able to ask for help.

So lately I've been spending heaps of time on my personal blog zinegeek and my new feminist blog spinster.

I've been adding heaps of pictures of my art to zinegeek, and putting reviews and information on spinster. I'm also planning on putting articles from my past zines on zinegeek but just haven't got around to it yet.

I'm trying to get a zine done for the London Zine Symposium on April 21 but I haven't done much on it yet.

If anyone is interested in passing on info about events, magazines, books, television shows, films, advertisements, laws, or anything of interest to feminists for the spinster site please let me know. And get in contact if you're interested in contributing articles.

My partner was a bit mad at me for creating a my space site when its politics/owner/terms and conditions/etc are SSOOOOO bad. I can't believe people don't realise that any stuff they post now belongs to rupert murdoch.

Said partner also begged me not to post any personally identitfiable information on there (address, post code, names...).

P wants us to get all our cool/fun friends to leave my space and get alternative sites. I only got one because that's where lots of people are. My live journal (http://zinegeek.livejournal.com/) is still my main blog (until I get my website up again - hopefully soon).

'My space, your space, whose space is it?'

On the weekend I listened to Chicks On Speed's song 'My Space' which is great to sing along to and dance around your lounge room to (which is what I did). And now I have a myspace page! I also have a livejournal, a page on Flickr and my own website (which is pretty empty at the moment). Now that I have the internet right into my home (starting today) I will start to upgrade and improve my own website and then I'll post its URL. I moved to the UK at the end of May and I haven't had internet at home since then. About time I reconnected!

Well, I'd better get back to work.
