Greetings peoples:
We're gearing up for another season of music in the out-of-doors. We have a lot of new tunes and songs that we can't wait to play for folks, and we're ready for some fun festivals too!
In January the band made its way out west for our "Great Plains Tour 09." We had a ball running around Missouri and Kansas. Those states are a lot more fun than you think.
Now we've lined up some good work around our favorite place, Kentucky. We'll be playing a big, outdoor show in Frankfort (our fair capital), and we're being featured at this year's Hillbilly Days (well worth a trip to Pikeville), as well as the kick-ass Morehead Fiddlers' Convention. Plus, we'll have gigs here and there throughout the warm months.
Check our schedule for details. OR book us for your good time event!
Finally--and perhaps most importantly--we have finished a new album: "Commonwealth." The entire record is full of popular and obscure tunes and songs that have firm roots in the musical traditions of our fine Commonwealth. (This claim is debatable, but we know we're right.) It is available through our wonderful label's website (
Old 97 Wrecords), but you can also buy it through iTunes and CDBaby!
Folks say they like it. And we trust the folks.
Stay tuned for more news! And take care in the meantime,
Jeff (and RSR)
