Hi everyone,

This month, as you can see, we're being featured by San Francisco's beloved promo company, Playing in Fog. The show will be August 31st at the Make Out Room with Peloton and Dora Flood (see the flier on our profile for the 411). In conjuction with the show we've been featured on the Bay Bridged Podcast, which is possibly the coolest SF Bay Area music resource ever. Check it out at The Bay Bridged Web Site. Along with the interview with yours truly, you get some songs off the album as well as a new track recently demoed for the next one.

In September check us out at Bottom of the Hill, SF, on September 19th with the Hot Toddies. Then we're heading into New Improved Studios in Oakland to start work on our follow-up. Busy busy.

Thanks for listening.

Have you checked out our other website lately? We put up a new bio, some photos, and a bunch of mp3s not available anywhere else.

Recent LiC sightings on the web: We got a nice write-up from a new zine named Co-opted, and Aaron Axelsen, music director at SF's own Live 105, called us a "fantastic new SF band to watch". Thanks!

In somewhat related news, WOXY.com -- formerly one of the best broadcast radio stations in the country, now one of the best web-based radio stations in the world -- has been having some financial troubles of late. If you haven't yet experienced the joy of WOXY, tune in and consider keeping independent radio alive by signing up for their high-quality stream.

Thanks to everyone who came out to our Mezzanine show with Elephone and We Are Invisible earlier this month-- we had a lot of fun, and we hope you did too. There are some great pictures of that evening up at bagelradio.com, as well as this photoset on Flickr. Also, we got a very nice review of "Claw Your Sweater" from palebear.com yesterday. Thanks!

We're currently taking a little break from playing out to work on some new songs and record some demos, but we'll be back in action soon enough...

Looks like we got a couple of nice reviews of our album for Christmas, one from the SF Bay Guardian and one from The Owl. Thanks! Although we should set the record straight on a couple of points: 1) Steve didn't play on the album-- that's our previous drummer Rajeev that you're hearing on there; and 2) Nate and Courtney have the same last name because they're married, not siblings. Now we know how the White Stripes feel!

Check it out, our song "Everyone Is In On It" was featured on NPR's Open Mic showcase a couple days ago. So hey, you know what would make a great present this holiday season? Why, a Love is Chemicals CD, of course! And now, in addition to being able to order it from our label and CDBaby, you can find it at Amazon too.

Both on the radio and in person! Lately, we've been getting much love from KSCU Santa Clara and KCR San Diego, who have our album in their top 10 lists, and webwise we've been getting some airplay from soma.fm's Indie Pop Rocks, BaGEL Radio, woxy.com (regular rotation!), 3wk, and Radio XY.

Also, we're roadtripping out to Utah over Thanksgiving weekend to play a couple shows. If you're in Provo or Salt Lake City, or know someone there, drop us a line, or just show up at the show and say hi!

Hey all!

Today at 9 pm Eastern we're going to be featured on woxy.com's unsigned artist showcase, the appropriately named "unsigned@woxy.com". They'll be rebroadcasting the show Saturday at 6 pm Eastern, but if you can't listen in at those times and still want to hear it, they're also offering the show as a podcast. Check out the site for more information!
