Hi folks,
Two new things - be sure to listen to No Comedy Here - the first song on the page, which I recorded with Bobby McIntyre (drummer for the Twilight Singers, Alex Diax, and many more)!
Also, I've posted some more live material, mostly from last year's CD release party, which can be found here:

Hey all,
For those wondering what I'm up to - I've finally returned to the band album I started with Oz Fritz engineering and co-producing (Tom Waits, Oysterhead)... pulling 7 or so songs from that plus about 5-6 more that I've written in the last year or so. It's slow going but it's going.
I'm also trying to work on putting together some shows in Gainesville and Orlando. We'll see.
I've got an acoustic show at the Luna Star on the 15th of September... and will likely be playing in some form (perhaps band form) at Diane's CD release party on the 9th of September.

This was Steven, lost to his family and friends this week. He was my student and a great kid. Please be careful out there. We need you.

Pretty excited... going to NY in late April as part of Jim Camacho's Fools Paradise (I'm playing acoustic). Also... make sure you check out Dean Fields' new album, "Songs on the Mend." A song I co-wrote with Dean, "As it was ending" is on it. - Brian

Current mood: dorky
I've posted a "work-in-progress" track of "Corporate World" that Jack (Shawde) and I did on Sunday. It's not done, but I like where it's going and thought some of you might enjoy hearing how it's built out. It has not been E.Q.'d or anything, but it's pretty clean for a few hours work. We started two other songs... "Across the Shining Sea" - inspired by my friend Ami Vitale and another, "House," inspired by the loss of Major Michael Martino - a high school friend who was shot down in November in Iraq. What may be amusing to some of you is that while it sounds fairly dark, and Corporate World is for certain, House actually has a positive hopeful theme, and Across the Shining Sea is quite upbeat and hopeful. I've written a lot of upbeat material, but with the band scattered, it's hard to play it - never mind get it on tape. I'm waiting to see it in the store, but a great review came out of Desert Farmer in the latest issue (#48) of Hitting the Note Magazine (order one at hittinthenote.com). More on that when I have it in my hands. Also - be on the lookout for Dean Fields' new disc, (on which you'll find our song "As It Was Ending" ) and Diane Ward's new disc (on which you'll find a song Di and I co-wrote). Until then... - B
