Have you ever thought about, how those big "MTV-rock stars" write their songs? When and where? Under what circumstances and in what condition? Have you ever heard about the theory that a debut album is usually better than the second album of a band? Or that the third album is the most important for a record label(not for the Band)? Do you know why many of those theories are correct? For example this one; Many song writers can only write catchy, authentic and good songs when they feel really bad themselves. When they are down, depressed and troubled. They usually write about own experiences and about their "black alter ego" –the devil insight and not about the shining star they pretend to be in public. And most of them write their greatest songs when they are drunk or on drugs. Ever since the 50's. So what happens when a song writer, suddenly is just happy, enjoys life, has money and makes advantage of his connections? What kind of songs will he write? What happens when you put a guy, that is supermegahyperhardcore in love, into a studio to write about "a lost love"? About what would he write? Or how "true" is a song that is telling about; "I am so in love" when you hear it from "a single" who is, on top of that, a swinger? Ooh yeah, the POP world is so interesting and such a cliché. Let me, on behalf of AOU tell you; It was our plan to put our first new songs online already 2months ago, But we can't. I want to be 100% sure that I can stand behind our music. I want to be sure that it's no "dibadaba" that goes from one ear to the other. WE want our songs to be songs that are dedicated to you. WE want our songs to be songs about you. WE want our songs to be the songs that you would write, if you would write songs. We are normal people and so are you. Bullshit! No one is normal. You are not and WE are not. So we want our songs to tell about that. One big and important question remains; Do you rather just listen to music(like background music) or are you interested in; where it comes from, what are the thoughts behind the songs and what is the true meaning of the lyrics? If you choose the second option, then you are a part of AOU, a part of ALL OF US. We go deeper, so go with us. You are a part of us if you think like we do. We are not a band, we are a movement. Maybe we are the opposition so we will always stay small, but we are an alternative; an alternative to XXXXXXXXXX. We hope you give us some feedback on this and we hope that you are interested in supporting us in one very important thing (that our generations don't support enough); CHARITY! We will soon start a big charity campaign. It will not cost you anything, but you can still do a lot of good if you show that you are active or that you care.

It is no longer a rumor. Our third CD is almost ready. We are sorry, that we don't have the time to tour right now and to arrange any bigger concerts (because of studies and work), but we are not lazy either!:-) We have been working on our new album since a long time and we want it to become once again; musically different, lyrically deep and as honest as WE ALL should be. Our slogan; Life and music are about; development, faith and hope. We try to let you hear that. As you might have noticed; we always love to try out new things and we feel really happy about learning and about the musical challenge that we face 24/7. We got more real drums, more piano based songs, more rhythm… The new album has some ballads on it (of course), but in general it is more up-tempo than the previous ones. We even have a pure and positive love song on the album (we never made a love song and we never had a clearly positive song, before). We are a bit less political than before, but in general our topics and themes still tell about the forgotten ones and the little people. People like us. And we still do this for a good course and not for our own benefit. We want to do something good and want to help, at least a little bit, somewhere where it is needed. We need your help for that! No one walks alone. We will be strong and will achieve "change" only if we walk together. Lets walk together. More info soon.

Hi folks, sorry it has been a while since we wrote something.. Well, we are all alive and actually we all jumped or we were thrown into a new world.nSome people call that "world" reality; we call it "pain we can't escape from".
I don't know in what order, but I will try to tell you what we did, how we felt, what we do right now and how we feel right now, but I cannot guarantee that the message gets through and that you fully understand. That is because: we don't even understand ourselves and we don't even know. (I will only present a small part of the facts and our dreams here, more might follow.) Jarkko, our wonderful cellist got into the school(university) he wanted and he is really happy, but he's under enormous stress the same time. He got so much to do, so much to learn… I, on my behalf, try to spend as much time with my wonderful girlfriend, with writing new songs, trying to solve our problems from the past and with working hard to get some money in and try to motivate all the ones around me, To motivate them: to not give up. It sucks, but even my success and achievements are limited. Sorry. I would like to tell you a lot of things. I would like to ask you a lot of things. But I don't know if it's worth it and if I have the rights.? One question I will present anyways, answer if you feel like. Answer directly, Answer us in private, answer our band members .Answer and question the same time. How many of you care, how many like AOU, how many listen to our music every day? If we get enough answers, comments, opinions, critics… … then you will hear, read and feel more. Hopefully. (It's not up to me). We love you. -Jan

This one is dedicated to all of you who were at our Hamburg concert. Let us tell you this much; You guys were great and really supportive (loud). It was a pleasure and an honour to perform for you. We hope you had some fun with our quite "improvised" show; it's not that easy to play with such an army of great musicians ;) We had fun, that's for sure. We are actually not used to perform 4hours in a row and we were nearly dying in the end, but you folks really kept us going, going and going on. Thank you! We hope there will be a day…. For the coming time, we believe it will be fairly quiet around us. We don't have the funds to arrange new concerts and we don't have a record label that would produce a new album with us. So we'll need to wait till something happens. YES, IT'S HARD If you want to help us also in the future, You can always promote our music to more people and try to make new people notice us. Of course we'll try to present you some new stuff every now and then. lots of love -Jarkko, Juulia, Jan (ALL OF US)

Metallica, Robbie Williams, the Pet Shop Boys, Herbert Grönemeyer, those superstars and many others have one thing in common; They all played at least once, live with a classical orchestra. Usually after they became rich and famous;-) We are not rich and we are not famous, but on Friday in one week (16.5.) we will perform with a whole orchestra at a really special place in Hamburg City. Finns and Germans together,Pop and Rock music live in the Chamber Opera of Hamburg(Altona)! www.alleetheater.de (driving instructions) Be there, step on the red carpet, sit on a golden chair and let our 25people strong "live band" blow your ears away. We need a good and "loud" audience and we would love to see you there. Before we forget; We are filming the whole concert and we will record it as well. And here is our special gift to you: If you buy a ticket for one of the concerts you will get 5 of the live songs as free MP3 files, directly to your email, a few weeks after the concert.

What if tomorrow never comes, what if this moment is our last? Are we too young to die? Do we ever want to become too old for living? Is death the end or is death salvation? Death is close, death is near, the road we chose shows death is here. Death brings fear, but "Death" my dear, once you're near, one song you'll hear: "Don't come too late nor wait for me" check the new song from our player
lyrics: Tell me all you know and tell me now, one last time I'll be all ears. If you ask tomorrow why and how, I'll be far from here. Show me what you see and show me now, tomorrow I might not be found. Let me feel the love the love you talked about, tomorrow I won't be around. Don't come too late, nor wait for me and if you feel as I do; don't come at all. Be my friend by being quiet, far too many words were lies. Don't you tell me now, who you really are; there are so many look-a-likes!

After our band rehearsal, this evening, I have been in the movie theatre with this one girl. We watched the action film "Vantage Point" that is actually far more than a basic Hollywood production. It’s a combination of an art-film and an action thriller. The criticism of our modern media structures, the randomness of our involvement in things that change the lives of others and the pure fact that the modern terrorism network is on the same level as our countries defence strategies, makes you think and wonder. Anyhow: After the movie I went to one of my favourite bars to have a drink, to prepare our next concerts and to write some lyrics. It is interesting to sit in a bar with 200 people of which 50 sit lonely, their drink in front of them, starring at others who have fun talking with their friends. Some of those "lonely riders" are really annoying. They look at you all the time, they try to establish conversation though they can’t speak clearly anymore, and some of them even go further and start to touch you. Fine! Happily I know how to keep those "grannies" of my back but I do also feel pity for them and partly understand their "hopeless" behaviour. But there are borders you just can’t cross! At the table next to me sat a group of 45-65 years old men. Fairly drunk! Some of them were artists, some well known politicians and some musicians. They had fun, they spoke loudly and they discussed the world’s "correct and incorrect" politics. When it became louder I found myself in the situation that I had to push one of them back into his chair and make another return a phone that he kept in his hands though it wasn’t his own. Adult teenagers! It didn’t take longer than five minutes until one 60 years old and 150 kilo heavy "conservative" politician (that is candidate in the next elections again) jumped on a skinny artist(author) and took him to the ground. David vs. Goliath. I truly had to use the little strength and the little of technique, that I had left from my days as sports fighter to get those two beasts away from each other. The result: No one really got hurt badly, there is new material for the Finnish yellow press and I got free beer from the bar owner. All I wanted was; to be somewhere amongst random people, so I would have the feeling of NOT being alone and so I could still finish up the tasks I didn’t manage to handle during the day. Most likely I will still be just like them some day;-)
