So instead of going on a quest for BigFoot, I decided to assist in the high costs of living these days and go get a part time job. The old man, would chuckle and make the comment… "Well… Maybe you'll learn something, it could be a good adventure for ya." So the pool would be set up… Monty had one month, Tonya had two weeks… Tonya would prevail. After two weeks of dealing with a woman who I feel could quit easily be diagnosed as bipolar, I handed in two weeks in two seconds. So when I received a call from an old friend I hadn't spoke to in a month I had two words to say… "I'm Back". And the old man would chuckle one more time and ask me "What did ya learn?"… "Well… working for you isn't soooo bad. Now shut it!" I have come to the conclusion that a search for BigFoot would've been more productive and possibly accomplished. I must say the big boss was a pretty cool guy and fun to work with, and has his hands full. And I had to leave it with him that… Life is too short to deal with that, especially when you love life, laughing, thrills, and fun! All the things racing offers me!
So now that I'm back and over the burn out stage I went thru this summer… It's time to make up some missed coverage and blogging for ya'all!
Gossip, gossip, gossip… So everyone is gossiping how Whibley has taken the Championship away from our beloved JJ… Noooot sooo fast. There is four rounds left and it isn't over 'til it's over. Yes, the points lead is the size of a truck, but Whibley "MUST" Officially run 3 more. Even Whibley is aware of this, and aware that anything could happen, and he is being very professional about it. And I can relate to JJ's challenging year, he's been struggling to put it together each race. I hear the gossip "He under-estimated Whibley at the OMA's"… maybe so, maybe not. Only JJ can answer that. Both Team Suzuki riders are talented and un-Godly fast. Come October we will see who will take the 2008 Championship, we wish them both the best!
Another gossip corner… Lagzdins out! Crane and Zimmerman are neck and neck, 12 points apart, with new upcoming fast kid, Shane Gaunt only 2 points down from Rob. Now I received a call from Zimmerman earlier this year, and it was… "I'm taking it back this year, Darcy! Lagzdins caught me in 07, but it's 08 and I'm training!" I had to chuckle at Rob, he's sooo dramatic. But he's keeping his word, he just wasn't expecting David Crane to make those ridiculous drives from Mississippi to the OMA's mainly based in the Northern Midwest. Whatever the outcome for the OMA ATV Championship we will be proud of all the atv racers who have put in a phenomenal racing year!
There's many Amateur Championship Titles on the line, and with some serious contenders. Series new comer Zach Klamfoth, 07 Lite A Champion, Derek Spangler, and Marty Michels have been battling back and forth for the Open A Championship. All three Yamaha mounted and all three have consistent finishes. These are the guys to watch for in Millville, if you want to watch great racing!
The minis this year have been a big talk at the OMA's, with more mini entries and talented kids running in 08. Jordan Milbauer is committed to taking an OMA 100cc 14-15 Championship away from the boys. She currently has a 13 point lead over Austin Wells. Standing on the podium three out of six rounds. However, as with Whibley and Jarrett... there are four rounds left and the amateurs have three throw aways to contend with, Wells has used up all his throw aways and must run remaining rounds.
The junior 110cc class, 12-13 has been the complete opposite of watching paint dry… These kids and their parents are determined! They make the T-ball dad's look like amateurs… okay… so I'm speaking of our girl, Tonya. With her son, Andrue Remley, currently running 2nd in the points, Jacob Ruchotzke and Bryan Studniarz's parents better watch out, Tonya may go slashing tires before the event. Haha… Ok.. so that was a cheap shot for the pool she started on my part time job.
So that's all for now folks… I'll be back later this week to run my mouth.
Over-N-Out!
