i have been blessed by two amazing big brothers. Brek the oldest and Jonathan who is 18 months older. Jon and I were as some would say "peas and carrots" growing up. Brek (from what I could gather) didn't know that I existed until I was in tenth grade. That was until he wrote me a letter in tenth grade that put a jet back on my shoulders. Both of them have had and continue to have profound affect on me. And so I thought I would give you a window into my family. About two years ago Bek started a church plant in buffalo ny. you can read his blog at: brekonelmwood.com You should read this. Its is often an encouragement to me that he gives his life to the people of Buffalo. Jon is a youth pastor in Willmington NC. John is a rock. You can find out more of what he does at: takeadetour.com I just often feel as though you should meet the brothers for some reason. Kind of to good to keep to myself. Hope all is well. Thad

Greetings. I love writing music and getting to share it with others. Often times when a song is in it's infancy is when I (and co-writer Matt Stevens) am most excited about it. The magic is still buzzing and the melody is still racing through my head 24 hours a day. It's when I wish I could share it with you. It's when I send it to my friends and loved ones because in some ways thats who I make music for. However normally it doesn't get to you till months and sometimes years later. Well not today friends!!! No way. This is a song I wrote and I want to share with you so you can take it let it rest in your heart and ears. This is at best a demo, so I'm sure by the time I get around to making a studio version of it things will sound differently. So for now here it is. This is from my heart to your. It sounds like joy and hope and I hope that's what it gives you. Joy and hope!! Thad

Hey everyone. Once again I have had the great opportunity to write a song with my friend Bart Millard (Mercy Me). When he first heard the "To be Loved" ep he was kind enough to write a really nice email about it and hoped that we might have the chance to write for his new hymns record. Well that time presented itself and he got no other than Vince Gill to sing the song with him. WOW!!!!! The name of the song is "Jesus Cares for Me" and you can see a fun video of Vince singing in the studio. http://www.bartmillard.org/album.html the title of the video is "Vince Gill and the bucket list" See you all soon. Hey everyone. I have had the privilege of becoming friends with Donavon over the last year. In the middle of this past winter he showed in Nashville with sandals and a t-shirt. We spent most the day shopping at thrift stores, looking for records and writing songs. A couple of the songs on his new record. "Your Heart" and "Come With Me" are from that day . The whole record is really great and especially for this time of the year. The release is today so check it out if you get the time. Thad

Hey everyone. Just wanted to let you know that I am returning to the studio in early August with the master mind Jason Lehning (producer ) and the fine cast of characters that helped me make the "To Be Loved" ep. We are recording 3 more songs " Beauty Has a Name", "Rosalyn" and "Look Up Sarah" to turn it into a full length. I will take down "Look Up Sarah" in the meantime so you can have a fresh listen when the final version is released. Until then I hope you enjoy the new song posted. Its about the love of ones lifee.
