Im going to India - in 2 weeks!!
I decided 2 days ago, so its all been a bit manic booking flights and sorting out my visa and my arm is currently in PAIN from the jabs I had today.
Im particularly looking forward to running away, hopefully leaving my thoughts locked away, so that I refresh my mind from all of its distractions and return with my heart and head back in tact!

Current mood:  overstimulated

Yep - my pockets are exploding with inspiration as I have just written another song. CAnt wait to record it!

Rest Your Weary Head

You pick your gaze
From off the floor
Your smiling lines
Arrive
Distance Remains
Between Us
The fire inside
Inflamed

Rest your weary head
Rest your weary head
On mine

You tower over me
Those words
They jump out
And comfort
Strange as it seems
Between us
You'll mend your heart
While mine bleeds

Rest your weary head
Rest your weary head
On mine

Can anybody say your mine?
Can anybody say its time?
Or is it that im not right?

Rest your weary head
Rest your weary head
On mine

'Spread Me Out' is a bit different to your other stuff I hear you saying.....

Well - yep, it is. Its a product of a little musical collaboartion with the delightful dub kult (in my top friends). I arrived at his house after only having 3 hours sleep because me and my lovely housemate have a shameless addiction to shit head. Only partially at this stage wired on caffeine, Neilon played a looped beat with a male vocal line. I instantly loved it and shamefully attempted to sing something awful over it. Then he asked me what I thought the song was trying to communicate and from this point it all slipped into place. Once we had the ambiguous line 'spray me out' which later was changed to 'spread me out' both of which sound slightly rude-ha, we started to arrange the song.

Id say its a littleunfinished - but I absolutely love it, for the harmonies, for it being different, for the 3 hours sleep, for the feeling of absolute euphoria when making it, both with a little and a lot of caffeine, for the events that unfolded once I got back to Surrey and encapsulates my eventful, beautiful Christmas period. I am a happy Lesley bunny hopping into 2009 with my mind clear, my heart full of lots of love and pockets full of inspiration.

Heres to a fruitful new musical journey and a flipping awesome 2009!

Hold On

Hold On
For Your Great Fortune Knows

Who am I?
For this is me.
Carving on the back of my hand
Like a temple on the screen
Internal Dialogue
Waiting for me
If I could push out of my head
Then maybe I can see

Flaking crimsone
Is his disease
Feeling comfort
In forms of his shaken entity
Sit aside
Mascaline is he
Move a little closer
And Take a look at me
Take a passing look at me

Hold on
For your great fortune knows

Who are you
To me?
Etching away
At my dignity
Your dominance over me
Was not in my character
No its just not me

Hide the image
From his needs
Shy away
From his inconsistant mystery
Impossible it is to me
To breathe
When your eyes
Are thrust right upon me

Hold On
For your great fortune knows

Hold on you forgot my tears
Hold on you forgot my fears
Hold on you forgot my years
Hold on have I disapeared?

Hold on
For your great fotune knows

Shiver

Shiver
Night falls down
Shiver
My love

Crawl in my tide
Sliver down my spine
Shiver
Night falls
Across the shore

Falling
It crumbled
Slow ride down to my door
Listen
Stumble
As you walk along the shore

Forming clouds will shudder under
Blows the leaves
Flickering over
All the more this feeling covers
The ground

Avoiding the changes
Feel the breaze change direction
Yearning
Falling
As he heads towards the door

Failing the past
feel his shadow fall around me
Seasons turning
As he walked right out my door

Forming clouds will shudder under
Blows the leaves flickering over
All the more these feelings cover
The ground
