Since so much was put out yesterday in the bulletin/blog on the line up change, I didn't want to crowd it up even more with my words. But since me and mike's been playing together for so long, and some of you have been with us since the beginning, i felt i should put it out here along with my personal page. Make sure you check out mike's new band, they'll have some new recording up here soon............. Jeff
REPOST FROM MY PERSONAL PAGE............ Mike has decided to move on from ETE. You can read about it on the band page. I know all bands always say "Due to musical differences" but this is truly the case here.
If you knew us on a personal level you'd know that me and mike have played together for a very, very long time. I'm gonna miss him, he's my brother and my friend. He's been my other arm for as long as i can remember on stage. I wouldn't trade the years we spent playing in bands together for nothing. But my friend has not been happy with the style of music we been heading in and i truly just want all my friends to be happy in life. I know alot of people are gonna claim behind closed doors behind our backs that things are not what they seem. Go ahead, you'll just be an idiot. There's no hard feelings between us or anything on that level. He's still a close friend of mine and nothing will change that. I'm glad he's found what makes him happy in the music world. now we'll have the next experience together, playing shows together in different bands on same nites supporting each other. I wish him and In Thy Blood all the best and i'll be the first one there at their first show. Here's to you brother, now go rip it up..........

Due to musical differences, Mike Martin Jr. has decided to leave E.T.E. We know, every band says that LOL, but seriously this is the case here. We'd like to wish Mike all the best with his future. He will be playing his last show with E.T.E. on Dec 11th at the Half Shell (there's a slot open for any band wanting on the show). You can check out his new band In Thy Blood at www.myspace.com/inthyblood
Erase The Enemy will be continuing on with some changes. As some of you know, Box was originally a guitarist before picking up the bass for E.T.E., well now he'll be going back to what he loves (and does a damn good job of) as one of the guitarist now. We are also happy to announce that our good friend and a former band mate of Jeff's, Denis Ozea (formerly guitarist for Of Cynics And Sadists) will be joing E.T.E. as our new bassist. If you thought he was awesome on guitar, wait till you see him on bass :) We are currently getting things changed over and will be debuting the new line up on New Years Eve at Hometown Heroes in Chesapeake, VA with BurnCycle.
Also stay tuned for news on a new EP coming soon. The drums have been tracked recently with JR from Coldcast behind the controls. We will finish up tracking at our place in the coming month (with Box and Denis on guitar and bass), then Dan Whittemore from Swagger Studios handling final mix and mastering. Stay tuned for updates in the coming month.
Well lots to do, hope everyone has a great holiday season..........
Here's a good-bye note from Mike......................
Well, I would like to start by saying "What a Hell of a Ride!" This has been one of the best bands I have ever been in. The musicians in this band are some of the best I have ever had the privilege of playing with. There comes a time when it’s time to move on, and that time is now for me. I want to thank all the fans and musicians that have supported Erase The Enemy and Me. Thank you very much and keep up the support for them because, I know that I WILL. This all being said, I am writing this to let everybody know that I am leaving Erase The Enemy. It took a lot of thought and was one of the HARDEST decisions I have EVER had to make. (THANK GOD I didn’t have to go down a flight of stairs! LOL)(inside joke). I will miss the E.T.E. FAMILY but it is time for me to move on in my music career. I am already working with a new band as we speak ( In Thy Blood). With everything that I have said about E.T.E. and family, I just want to say Good-Bye MUCH Respect and Love and Good Luck with whatever the future holds for you guys. One last thing to say and that is Good -Bye my BROTHERS, and Thank-you again for one HELL of a ride!! Sincerely, Mike D. Martin Jr.

Current mood: breezy
These are some things you guys can do to really help us out and show your support!
1) Add [Erase the Enemy] after your display name. IE: Gary[Erase The Enemy]. This helps because if enough people do it, they will surely wonder what it means.
2) Tell your metal-loving friends about us, and tell them to visit our page and add us!
3) Check out our online store, and don't be afraid to buy something! Our merch is dirt cheap, and frankly...it is quality stuff. The shirts are high quality, as well as our CD's. The CD's are actually really professional and shiny looking. So though of you who are attracted to shiny things will love them.
4) If you know any bands or venues, show us to them! We are always looking for places to play, and bands to play with!
5) Take a picture of yourself and friends taking shots of Jagermeister, or supporting Jagermeister. We are on the verge of a jager endorsement, and we want them to see that our fans not only support us, but Jager as well! So whilst taking these pictures, make sure something pertaining to Erase The Enemy is in them as well! (T-shirts, signs, etc.)
Doing things like this supports us greatly. We won't be afraid to repay you as well. Things like free tracks or merch now and then for die-hard supporters seems fair to us. :D
Thanks!

Sorry for the long wait, we've had a few things put us back on our timeline to get all the new stuff out to you (mainly due to Jeff's arm injury in Jan). First off we've teamed up with Pain & Sorrow/Guerrilla Records. Thanks to Tony, Jim and the family for welcoming us to the fold with our brothers Download, Epoxy, Shooting Cats With Arrows and many more. Also we'd like to introduce you to our new singer, Steve McCorry. Steve is the former frontman of such New York bands as Canon & Horseshoes And Hand Grenades. We are in midst of booking lots of shows, gonna be hitting the road to many new cities and states very soon starting with Maryville, Tennessee with Facelock on March 14th. With Jeff's arm healing we will be launching the new myspace layout here soon. Stay tuned for many more changes to come........ Don't miss our first show with Steve at Gil's on Feb 28th, its one hell of a line up with many of our good friends.

Hey everyone, Jeff here, just wanted to wrap up things for the end of the year for us. As you all know the end of the year has been an odd one for us. With the departure of Chad in Oct to the departure of Wayne. For those that have not heard about Wayne leaving, I'll post a part of the original bulletin from Drew below.........
______________
"Wayne Bernard has made the decision to leave ETE. In these volatile economic times, things can get bad. Wayne knows this firsthand as he is forced to make a big choice. Wayne has a wife and newborn baby girl at home to support, and a job promising him a layoff in the very near future, therefore he has decided to join the military. This was not an easy decision for him to make, and ETE is crushed to see him go. We do understand however, and support Wayne in his decision. He wasn't in the band long but he quickly became like a brother to us, part of the family. On a personal note, I've known Wayne the longest. I was in Nothing Sacred with him, and I introduced him to ETE, so it's especially hard for me to see him go. I'll always be there for you bro, I love you like a brother. ANYBODY is lucky to have you, military or band.
Drew - Erase The Enemy"
______________
With all that being said, we have found a new singer. We will be making the announcement in the first couple of weeks of Jan '09 so stay tuned.
Also due to all that was going on at the time we never had the chance to announce and congratulate Drew for winning Tama's Fastest Feet for the 2nd year in a row.
Thanks to everyone who has supported us over the years. We will be back soon. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday...........

In our last bulletin, we informed you guys of the departure of Chad from the band, well now is the time for a new era...
Erase The Enemy welcomes new singer/frontman Wayne Bernard to the band!!!
You may remember Wayne as the singer of Nothing Sacred, which also happened to be Drew's former band. Wayne and Drew remained friends after Nothing Sacred's demise, and after Chad's departure from the band, the inevitable took place, Wayne was contacted. After trying out and jamming with the band, re-writing some songs, and writing new material, the decision was made by ETE to make Wayne a permanent member.
Fans of ETE, look forward in the coming months to some surprises musically, if you haven't heard Wayne before now, prepare yourself!!
Don't forget there's still some tickets left to the Hardcore Halloween show so drop us a line to get yours. This will be Wayne's first show with the band so you don't want to miss this........
Thank you all for your love and support!!!
