Last week we posted a link to an interview that Ben did with Digital Spy. The interview included one of 4 videos of Ben singing live in their studio. Now we're very pleased to say that DS have uploaded the remaining 3 videos - Ben's own "Nothing But The Truth" and "Let It Rain" plus a version of Tom Waits' "Downtown Train".

Check it out here....

Mica Paris has recorded a cover version of "Nothing But The Truth" for her latest album, "Born Again" which was released this summer.

During a Podcast interview with David Nathan for SoulMusic.com, she said of the song:

Another song that’s really incredible as well is a song called ‘Nothing But The Truth’. If you ever get a chance, just sit down and listen to that record. It’s another song like ‘Born Again’, and it wasn’t written by Paul Barry, it was written by somebody else. My engineer in fact, who engineered the whole album, a fantastic guy, he played me this song, and I swear to you, when I heard the lyrics from this song, I completely just broke down and cried, because it’s the journey of the music business; the journey of the music industry. One of the lyrics is ‘It’s hard to tell a hero from a fool’.

Whilst Ben, himself, was surprised to find that Mica had recorded one of his songs, indeed a very personal one that he had written for his sister, he is really pleased that such an acclaimed artist has done so. It is testament to Ben's credibility as a songwriter that an established performer such as Mica Paris could listen to the song, without knowing its history, and instantly fall in love with it.

"Nothing But The Truth" was written by Ben along with Tim Woodcock, and engineered by Paul Meehan who subsequently went on to engineer Mica Paris' album.

After months of waiting patiently (ok, maybe not that patiently!), it's FINALLY GOING TO HAPPEN.......!!!

Locked away in a studio somewhere in Kent this week were FIVE incredibly talented musicians. Their goal? To record FIVE incredibly awesome tracks, including the utterly fantastic "Freedom", for an EP to be released later this year.

The recording session has been documented in pictures, and with many thanks to the lovely Dudley Ross, we're able to display some of them in the BenMillsOnline Photo Gallery.

Featured in the photos along with Ben are: Jason McCluskey (Drums), Paul Jobson (Keyboards), Roger Inniss (Bass), Dudley Ross (Lead Guitar) and Josh Austin (Sound Engineer).

Ben has asked us to pass on this message on his behalf.....

I am happy to say Melissa and I will be getting married in july... Unfortunately it would be impossible to invite everyone to the wedding as most of the big marquees are on hire in july!! But I'll be posting some pictures and maybe some
videos on benmillsonline soon after..

As always thanks for your support and I'm very much looking forward to the new album which I promise is pending and hopefully a tour of some kind in september... Fingers crossed...!! (For the tour that is! as for the marriage that's gonna be perfect...)

Best wishes to everyone...

Ben

Of all the venues I've been to, to see Ben Mills perform live, none seem to fill me with excitement as much as the Music Room at Pizza Express in Maidstone. I love the intimacy that such a small venue brings and the warm and friendly atmosphere that comes with it, but most of all I love that this seems to be the place Ben chooses more than any other to showcase his new songs.
