Current mood: accomplished
Merry Christmas everyone! This past week had it's ups and downs. Our beautiful dog Chase, who was 11, passed away on Tuesday. It was really hard on all of us. We're so happy we have our precious Reagan to help us get through this. She's such a good girl. Even though he was a dog, we considered him a brother. He was always a good pup, from day one. Rest in peace Chasie Boy, we all love you, and miss you so much. It's like the Lord knew we were going to have a rough week without our Chase, and decided to flip it around for us. We got the call from Jeffrey on Wednesday telling us that we were going to Ocean Way Studio on Thursday and Friday to track. Of course we were extremely excited...it was almost hard to sleep because we couldn't wait! So Thursday we got to the studio, met the musicians, and had an amazing time. We learned so much within those 2 days at the studio. It was inspiring seeing those guys make our songs come to life. We are going to start vocals after the new year! That's when the hard part starts...but we're ready! We cannot wait for you guys to hear what we've got.
We hope you guys have a great holiday season, and hope 2010 brings you all that you want in life. God bless! Merry Christmas. Gotta get going...it's cookie baking time :)

Hey guys!!! Sorry it's been awhile since we've posted a blog! We've been busy with writing, and we started pre-production on the album! It's running behind, but we're SO excited. Cannot wait to show you all what we've got. We're working with Jeffrey Steele, and Chip Matthews in the studio on bettering( is that a word?!? lol) ourselves as artists. Our harmonies are getting tighter, our vocal range, and of course guitar! We are having such a blast with those guys!!
Last weekend we played in Franklin, Kentucky at Kentucky Downs. It was a benefit concert for a bunch of charities. We got to see our very first horse races! EXCITING!!! Our parents bet on a few horses and won...a couple dollars ;) We got to sing the National Anthem, which was really cool. Then we hung out all day with the fam and our band...and ate some Kentucky fried chicken :). Speaking of the band...we found ourselves a fiddle player!! woohoo!!! His name is Shawn and he's extremely talented. So we played right before Jeffrey went on. It was a short set, but it was awesome! We had so much fun. Franklin, KY is the first exit in Kentucky after you leave TN... So we just drove home that night, back to Franklin, TN! haha (we found that kind of funny.) Well anyways we'll keep you guys posted on the album progress. We're going to start bringing our video camera with us, and our digital camera and start taking pics & video of the progress!! Hope you guys are all doing great.

p.s. Our mom's baby sister (our Aunt Annie) just recently had her SECOND set of TWIN BOYS! She and her husband have been married just over 2 years and have 4 little boys already! We went to see them a few weeks ago, and they are so adorable. We love our family!!!

We had an AMAZING time in St. Louis over the weekend. We got to see lots of friends and family...which is always nice. Friday we had dinner with our dad's side of the family. That night we made sure to stop by our favorite ice cream place...Doozles. It was SO good. Saturday during the day we had our family reunion with mom's side of the family. Lots of babies!!! haha so cute. We had to leave early to head downtown STL for our soundcheck. All of the people that put on the Live on the Levee show were so nice. Our show was so great. We had beautiful weather, and an AWESOME crowd. Couldn't have been any better!!! Thank you guys for coming out and supporting us! We love you guys.
We hope we get another show there in the near future! Hope you all are enjoying your summers. God Bless!

Hey Hey Hey!!!!!!!!
We just got back from a show we did up in Minnesota (well pretty much Canada, it was sooooo close!). It was near Ashlee Hewitt's hometown. She was on NS with us! We left Nashville on Friday morning and drove to St. Louis. We stopped and picked up our cousin Randy, who was helping us out with sound. Then we headed to Kansas City, MO. It was our first time EVER being in Kansas City and we lived in Missouri most of our lives! From there we headed up to Iowa, then to South Dakota and stopped there for the night. We drove a total of 15 hours by that time. Craziness. You all maybe thinking that's not that bad, but we had 6 people and band equipment in a suburban...not much leg room. We were wishing we had a bus :) We got up very early and drove another 5 hours to Minnesota. We were thinking SD and ND had lots of mountains and hills, but we were WRONG. Flat land and lots and lots of corn fields!!!!haha. We made it to Hallock, MN in time for a sound check. It was a very small, neat little town. The Kittson County Fair Board was so good to us! Everyone up there was extremely welcoming and so nice! The weather was B-E-A-utiful! A little colder than it is in Nashville, but not too bad. We played for an awesome crowd and had a blast!!!!!! We had our cousin Danny and our Dad playing behind us. Our cousin Randy even got to sit in on drums for a song, very very cool! We played the show, got to meet some great people and then headed back to the hotel. The one thing we wish we could have done is take the 20 mile drive up to Canada, just to say we've been there...but we didn't have enough time :( The next morning we left and headed back to Nash. The ride home was pretty uneventful. The highway we were on got closed down due to an oil truck that had tipped over. We had to turn around and find a back way...thank the Lord for gps, ipod's and Harry Potter books! Definitely helped make the trip go a little faster. We stopped in St. Louis and stayed the night and drove home this morning. We all missed our Mom, brother and our two dogs. Our new puppy looks like she has grown in the past 4 days! So glad to be back. We had a great time up there and hope to be back someday. We posted pics go check them out! Hope you guys are doing awesome!!! Take care and God Bless!

Hello there! Hope you all are enjoying your summers!! Ours has started off pretty darn good. Last week we played Bob Kingsley's CMA New Artist Showcase. For those of you who don't know of Bob Kingsley...he has a syndicated radio show called the Country Top 40 countdown, and he has an unmistakable voice. We've always listened to his show and it was such an honor to play his New Artist Showcase. This was our first time taking part in the CMA FEST (Fan Fair) festivities. The other new artists who played were Bomshel, Jessica Harp, and Lo Cash Cowboys. It was great seeing them all perform! Jeffrey Steele got up and played with us during a few of our songs. We LOVED that. We also went as fans to the Riverfront stage to watch some of the performers. Man was it HOT! We had a GREAT time and cannot wait until the next CMA FEST!
We also welcomed a new baby cousin today! Samuel Matthew. He's our grandma's 26th grandchild! More on the way too!!! Congrats Uncle Brian and Aunt Gina.
God Bless.

HEY! Hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the summer. We are! We just got back from St. Louis... Had a nice little visit. Got to see some family and hang out with friends. We have a few shows coming up! They're all posted on our show schedule on our profile page. We have one hometown show in St. Louis opening for Gretchen Wilson on July 25th. That may be one of our only shows in St. Louis this year...so we'd love to see all of our St. Louis fans out there! We get to play a really cool show for CMA Fest this year. It's Bob Kingsley's New Artist Showcase. It's a private event for radio winners, and we are SUPER excited for that. Recording is running a little behind, but we are starting pre-production this week! Us and Jeffrey Steele have been looking for and writing great songs for this project. We are looking so forward to showing you all when it's all complete. We'll try to give you all updates on the recording process as much as we can! God Bless!

Hey everyone! Last Wednesday we flew down to San Antonio with Gabe Garcia, Shawn Mayer, Donny Geyer, and Bart Butler. This was our first trip to Texas. While we were there we got to see the Riverwalk, and the Alamo! What a fun time. By the way, we also got to try some amazing food! Every place we went to eat was just phenomenal! The people in Texas were very welcoming to us, and made us have a great time. We played on Saturday night for the Medina County Hospital benefit. We helped raise a great amount of money for the hospital, it was very successful! We were so happy to be a part of something like that. It was beautiful weather down there. We got to ride horses, fish, and eat fajitas! haha yum! We're so glad Gabe asked us to play the gig with him. We hope to play in Texas again! Hope you all are doing great! Amy and Ang's birthday is in 13 days! AND Summer is almost here!!!!!

Hey ALL! Last Thursday was a crazy day for us! All three of us were at the gym, and got home to a text from Mr. Steele asking us if we'd be able to learn a new song by that evening for the benefit they have every year for their son, Alex, who passed away 2 years ago. Of course we said YES! He sent us the song, we learned it, we went to Rocketown in Nashville and got to play it with him! We still needed the lyric sheet...haha. It went great. We got to meet Keith Anderson (who knew who we were!!!!) that was really cool! We also met the Lo Cash Cowboys, Sarah Buxton, Sebastian Bach...and got to see John Rich again! It was a great time. So glad we got the call from Jeff to get to do something like that.
We're still writing new songs! We're playing in Texas soon! We're so excited for that. In June we get to play AlexFest in Franklin, TN. This is an awesome event, hopefully we can see some of your faces there! Hope you all are doing wonderful. Summer is getting closer! yay! God Bless.
