Current mood: inspired
We are ridiculously pleased to announce that we will be performing with Matt & Kim next Wednesday as part of WFNX's Disorientation concert series. We're thrilled to be taking part in Disorientation and are psyched to be playing with Matt & Kim on the last date of their U.S. Tour.
The show will be next Wednesday, October 7th at the Landsdowne Pub in Boston. Unfortunately, this free show is already at capacity and is sold out. We are so sorry that we can't invite you to join us, but the event sold out well before we knew we were taking part. However, we would love our Boston fans to join us on Friday, October 16th at the Middle East Upstairs. Also, we would love our Worcester fans to come check us out at Tammany Hall on Wednesday, October 14th.
Thanks to everyone for their continued support... keep fighting for peace and equality!

Today, the United States lost its foremost advocate for equality, compassion and justice. The death of Senator Edward Kennedy not only represents the end of a historical and political era, but also leaves a massive void in the fabric of public service that Kennedy so enthusiastically represented for more than 40 years. In that time, few individuals in the world have done more to impact the lives of those whose voices have been silenced due to poverty, injustice or other societal obstacles. With Senator Kennedy gone, it is more imperative than ever that each of us remember our own personal obligation to make life better for our fellow citizens - just because it's the right thing to do.
Too many people - whether they be immersed in music, politics or anything else - fall influence to the trappings of power, ego and/or self-interest. Whenever these traits become part of a person's life, we are one step further removed from creating a just and benevolent society for ALL people. While we must all love and care for ourselves, it is equally important that we take the time and effort to love and care for each other as well. This can be anything from a simple kind gesture to volunteering for the homeless to using one's own position in life to advocate for those in need of support. While it is so easy to abdicate one's potential to make a positive difference, the extra understanding and kindness each person shows can lead to a true era where compassion inspires rather than the pursuit of power.
No one exemplified this compassion for his fellow citizens than Senator Kennedy, but his loss leaves an immeasurable chasm in the effort to serve the public in a way that can lead to a better quality of life for future generations. While Kennedy's death is a great loss, it also provides us an amazing opportunity to learn from his legacy and continue his efforts to make our nation a better place. Senator Kennedy proved throughout his life that one person can make a profound difference on the lives of so many others. Now is our chance to do the same.

Yeah, you know you do :P So here's the deal. We are preparing to film our debut music video, but we need your help, and your presence. We have a fundraiser going on through illius rock right now to help us cover the cost of filming and editing. Hit it up here to donate to the cause: http://illiusrock.com/...and just click the Televandals music video link. And in exchange for helping us out we will be shooting footage for it at our June 14th Middlesex show (which anyone who comes out will be in) and we will also list anyone who contributes in the video credits and on youtube, itunes, etc. when it's released. So come be a part of the madness. w00t!!! And I'll leave you with a

Viva la Austin. We're preparing to leave for the road trip back home soon.........and quite unhappy about it. These past few days have been absolutely incredible and few things can compare to what we have seen, heard, and accomplished in Austin So we ended up landing a second show here in Austin. Wednesday night we threw down for our showcase and apparently pulled it so well that the promoters asked us to come back to headline Thursday night, where we brought the roof down amidst a near sold out crowd of screaming dancing and moshing (yes, there was MOSHING at our show) fans. Truly one of the most off-the-wall crowds we have ever played to - it was absolutely awesome And when we WEREN'T playing out of control sets, we caught a bunch of amazing live shows. Boston was represented well here. The Motion Sick and Static of the Gods did excellent sets on Thursday and yesterday afternoon we caught shows from our friends in To The Masquerade and Hollow Sound. Boston bands unite! And last night, to close the week for us, we went to what is quite possibly 1) The best rendition of live electro music ever, and 2) The best live show I've ever seen. Le Castle Vania (who we saw twice, fuck yes) held down the DJ booth in proper style while Golden Filter, Woodhands, and especially The Delta Fiasco produced utter hybrid wizardry on stage. Go now and download everything these guys have ever released. Go NOW!!!!! AAAAND, here's a video interview from www.bostonbandcrush.com:
