I have just released my second album, 'Guilt Box' today on iTunes and Rhapsody.

Guilt Box has 13 new instrumental tracks. This album is more aggressive than both Blue and Flood, with more adventurous noise and structures.

Also keithhillebrandt.com is back alive again. Feel free to contact me or ask questions through the board there.

Today I re-released my Flood EP on iTunes. The EP was originally written and recorded as a way to help the musicians of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast in 2006. It remains my personal tribute to all my friends that down there.

The EP also includes my friend Scott Tibbs on Piano, who's playing I accordingly chopped up and manipulated into the tracks. The tracks on Flood are a bit of a switch for me, and much different than what I did on Guilt Box.

I will be releasing my second album, called Guilt Box on sistema sequencia in December 2007 on iTunes and Rhapsody.

Guilt Box will have 13 new tracks written between October 2006 and September 2007 in San Francisco and New Orleans. Like my previous albums all the tracks are instrumental, made with my usual collection of synths, samplers and a little ebow.

I am happy to announce that I have started my own digital imprint called sistema sequencia. Now that I've conquered my antiquated and vane need release physical CD's, I won't have to go with dinosaur record labels when I feel like releasing something. No more waiting for flakey graphics guys to finish album art, or living by record company schedules. It's quite liberating actually.

Yeah I know this move will either land me in the poor house or the nut house, but at least I'll have more music out there for you to enjoy while I'm sleeping on a bench in Golden Gate Park!

Alright, here's a geek squirt for the tech types!

One reason for my seemingly slow output over the last year, was my work in helping construct the content for Apple's new Logic 8. Since Logic is my master program for writing and mixing this was a great opportunity to help shape the future of the program I use every day. On top of that, I've got to enjoy the new version with all it's new features for 8 months before it's release yesterday.

My contributions can be found in the sample libraries, the new channels strips, the new plugin programs and the organization of all of the above. Needless to say, I hope my contribution helps give a little more edge and grit to an outstanding new redisign of my fav program. There are so many great new features in Logic 8 I don't see how any adventurous programmers out there could still use P&0 700L5!
