Hello to anyone reading this! Thanks for showing interest, I'm not sure why we deserve your loyalty, but it's much appreciated nonetheless.
Blimey, a moment ago it was October, now it's bloody March! How did that happen?!! Anyway, many events have conspired to get in the way of the Carbon Soul album being finished, namely: fatherhood, Xmas, other work commitments, gigging, etc, etc... Matt has been busy with his band False Maria (check 'em out, they play good old fashioned rock). I've been gigging with Dr and the Medics, plus writing material for their new album, the first in a decade and one that hopefully we'll try and get recorded this year; plus I became a father for the first time at the end of 2006. Jim has been busy working on other projects, and Andy Lymn is currently AWOL in the middle east somewhere, though apparently ok and having a great time.
Soooo, that brings us back to the present. The Carbon Soul journey began nearly three years ago, a project that kept being put 'on hold' due to the Phenomena album, the Cloven Hoof album, the Whole Lotta Metal tours, and all the usual stuff. So, it's about time that we finished it and maybe even thought about doing a few promotional gigs. Though again, I'm sure our hectic schedules will ensure that becomes more of a long term goal, rather than a short term one. But we can but try?!
So please bear with us, we're getting there, the album is sounding great so far, many of the vocals and the majority of the music has been recorded and just needs a few adjustments prior to mixing. And then, we'll be ready to release it at last! Matt and I will also be involved in the Whole Lotta Metal dates that Simon Wright is looking to put together towards the end of the year, the show will probably be re-packaged but will include much the same line-up as the 2004 and 2005 tours, and should be great fun. And in the meantime, both Matt and I can be seen with our respective bands on the circuit in the UK somewhere...
Watch this space!!
