Take a look at my profile ( http://myspace.com/tensionitis) and check out the new track, "Always Waiting." It's a preview of the upcoming album, which will be called "Songs with Horrible Lyrics." It's a departure from what I've done in the past, both in terms of having lyrics, but also in that it'll be more acoustic/recorded stuff. It can be purchased from Amiestreet or downloaded/purchased from my bandcamp page. As always, I welcome any comments. Oh, also, if you like this song, tell your friends. :) A couple answers to questions you didn't ask: Q: Why is it called "Songs with Horrible Lyrics?" A: Because I wrote the lyrics, so they're bound to be horrible. Q: When will the full album be out? A: I have two more songs in the works, and nothing beyond that as of yet. I expect it'll be ready in about a year.

Here's the thing that's always on my mind - what determines success? Sure, there's a certain amount of perseverance involved, but I think a large part of success has to do with knowing the right people, getting lucky, and so forth. It can take years to develop the types of meaningful relationships that are necessary to even get beyond the local level, but even getting to the local level can be tough in itself.
What does one need to do to be successful? I'm not sure I know the answer, beyond not giving up, though without success that can sometimes be a difficult thing to do. Is it worth it to put time and effort into something that doesn't have any noticeable results?
I'd love to hear thoughts on this...

Hey, it's been a while, but I think it'll be worth your wait. First off is a new song, entitled Boldly Going Nowhere, available in the usual places ( http://tensionitis.bandcamp.com and http://amiestreet.com/music/tensionitis-2/boldly-going-nowhere/). It's only one of the new songs that should be coming out soon. Second is a contest - yes, it's the first Tensionitis Contest! Full details are available at http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=107765932003. Enjoy!

A new song just got put up earlier today, entitled "Caravanserai". The whole song and basic idea reminded me of jazz songs from yesteryear with a Middle Eastern flair, hence the name. It can be listened to and downloaded from Bandcamp ( http://tensionitis.bandcamp.com) or Amiestreet ( http://amiestreet.com/music/tensionitis-2/caravanserai/). As always, let me know what you think. Enjoy!

I just put out a two-song single of alternates that didn't make the cut for A Small Step. It's available from Amiestreet or Bandcamp. These have been included for completeness, if you want to hear what might have been...

I just put out a new track, entitled "Wherever You Go, There You Are." It's further down the ambient track, and should be an interesting listen. You can hear it or download it from my Bandcamp Page, or it's up at Amiestreet, as well. As always, shoot me a line and let me know what you think. Enjoy!

If you want to get the CD, but don't want to get it through Amie street, there are a few more options available: Bandcamp ( http://tensionitis.bandcamp.mu) Amazon (search for Tensionitis) Lulu.com ( http://www.lulu.com/content/4795675) I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. How's everything going out there in Myspace land?

If you want a DRM-free version of the CD (in the wrong order, for some reason) from Amiestreet.com, here's a link: http://amiestreet.com/music/tensionitis-2/a-small-step/ I'm still waiting on the first copy of the physical version to make sure it's good... Once I've verified it, I'll put the link to that up here, as well. Happy downloading. :)
