As everybody in-the-know knows, the one true hipster extravaganza Iceland Airwaves festival is taking place this very week. Find info on this battle of the posers here: Iceland Airwaves   Naturally I Adapt will perform as they are what any wasted individual in tight pants is talking about these days. The band was originally supposed to play a on a saturday night @ Grand Rokk, a great night out, but unfortunatly we had to pull out. So we are playing wednesday instead @ Gaukur Á Stöng wich is a huge venue. To make our little set memorable we're doing something diffirent this night, to break it up so to speak so please come down and see and hear. We've also included three new songs into the set and on this occasion we will introduce our new bass player. Exciting yes yes.

Icelandic:

Behind The Times # 4

I Adapt - No Pasaran LP

Malarie Records

Hardcore from Iceland!. The sound on this LP goes from that of straight forward modern youth crew style hardcore, to darker sounds in bands like From Ashes Rise, and singing and melody found in melodic hardcore bands. Overall I really like this LP, the lyrics are great and some of the most sincere ones I’ve read in ages, which is refreshing when most bands sing about topics blandly. They cover social and political issues, depression and personal problems, and some shit about hardcore/punk, but overall this has a really positive message. It’s cool as shit to me that a small country like Iceland has stuff this good going on there, and this LP is a great testament to the DIY spirit. ****************************************************

Mass Movement #16

I Adapt - sparks turn to flames (reality records)

These guys blew me away when they toured in december, and it's not often that a band can capture their live energy on a recording, but "sparks..." comes about as close as I've ever heard. The incredible energy, passion and fury of the only band to perfectly fuse the best elements of the old school and new school is opened to the listener and held up as a shining beacon of how good HC can be. One of the best live bands I've ever seen and one of the best records that I've heard in a LONG time. When it's this good, it just makes you feel sorry for everyone else...TIM

Who would have thought? We're whoring in the never neverland that is the myspace insanity. As we are all old men and not tech enough, we haven't managed to upload any songs yet. But we will let you know when they are up. Thanx for hooking us up. Whatch this space.
