Update
Hello Everyone! Happy Holidays and greeting from all of us at the Sunflower Spectacle. As some of you might know we have recorded a Christmas album, titled: "It's Christmas…Don't Be So Sad." When we say Christmas album we do not mean covers of Christmas songs, we are actually talking about original songs written about a wide variety of subjects that surround the holiday season. Some of which include; Alcohol, Loneliness, Heartbreak, and the classic Christmas feeling of sad yet hopeful nostalgia. However not all the moments are dismal. There is a song about a sleigh ride, and a song about being home with family and friends on Christmas. Hopefully there is a song for you. If you would like you can preview some of the songs on our myspace, and if you want buy an album. We are having a Christmas/listening/release party on the Dec. 20th at the apartment above 709 following the show. There will be eggnog and Christmas sweaters, and everyone will be there. You should come. Everyone should come, bring your friends. We will have cheese dishes and hot chocolate, and conversations.( I will provide more information at the bottom of this post dealing with time and location.) If you cannot attend and want to purchase a record we have them for sale online here .We will also be performing the entire record with the My Idea Of Fun artist collective at 709's Christmas show on Dec. 27th. Please check out My Idea Of Fun it is filled with great people, and wonderful music. http://www.myideaoffun.org/ .

Hello Everyone, The Sunflower Spectacle has been very busy as of late. We just wanted to give all of you an update of things to come. First off we have created a T-shirt design, that includes a dinosaur, an elephant, and the words "We Are A Zoo?" Yes with a? mark. These shirts should be ready soon. The Sunflower has also been working on an all acoustic set which will be unveiled at the Oct. 19th show at 709. As well as the Brown Hotel Show on Nov. 1st. Christopher D. Kupchella, has been very busy, and reclusive as of late, locking himself in his room to write The Sunflower Spectacles Christmas album; its Christmas…Don't be sad.. The word is that he has completed it. Soon the Spectacles will assemble to record the Christmas album with Friend and Johnstown musician Matt Miller. The album itself will be available for online and of course at the 709 Christmas show. Soon after The Spectacles will begin work on their first full length with our friend Troy at his home studio. Also, Chris and Derek's project: The Anti-Corn League has just finished their first record. Which you can buy Click here or at the link on their site. www.myspace.com/theanticornleague We have new pictures up on our site so you can look at what we have been up to lately. WE ARE A ZOO! LOVE, THE SUNFLOWER SPECTACLE

Hello everyone,
My oh my, haven't we been busy, with song writting, and life and all those old chestnuts that I like to call edible love. It has been a chaotic week, but finally everything is coming together. I hope your ears are peeled like banana's for what we have in store for the next couple of months. Im thinking our tenative name is "Clouds look Painted," but like a little league game with a chance of rain this is subject to change. After this chaos I am proud to announce eventhough we have seperated, two members will be upholding the legacy of soundrive, please check them out at www.myspace.com/soundrivetheband. With music still in continuance from everybody, this is a good situation. I hope you are all staying out of trouble this evening, mind the booze and the penguins loss and unwind with some tunes or beautiful women. Touch Yourself!
Salame!
~Jonathan

well everyone it looks like things will be different from now on. This is no longer the band Soundrive. We haven't figured out a permenent name yet so the one you see for our name now is not going to be there once we get this figured out. I will explain what needs to be explained. Bryan and Jason are no longer with us. They have branched off and decided to continue to play as Soundrive. Soundrive will still be a part of us concidering a lot of the songs are Chris's so we will be using them in our set list, and They will be using their songs for what is now Soundrive. Once everything is worked out i will go into more detail about the songs themselves. I'm not exactly sure what their new myspace link is or i would provide it for all of you who are interested. I implore all of you to continue to check out what they are up to. They have great songs and are great musicians. I will honestly miss playing the songs that are theirs but I am also really excited about the new songs we have been writing. We are also working on this new album which will hopefully be finished sometime this fall... well this is about all i have to say for now so thank you for reading and if you have any questions feel free to message us.
