Missed a day or two of fun with us at RazorFine (for shame!) here's a look back at the week that was. Click on the poster or cover for the full article!

Movie Reviews

Stardust [2.5 Razors out of 5]
Stardust, the new film based on the graphic novel by Neil Gaiman and Charles Vess, has a lot going for it.  A epic fantasy storyline, a cast of good characters all played by fine actors, a capable director in Matthew Vaughn (Layer Cake), and good special effects.  So why does it come off like the second coming of Baron Munchausen?

Rush Hour 3

December's Review [½ Razors out of 5]
Have you seen Rush Hour 1 and 2? Then you've seen Rush Hour 3; just add a little more stupid to it and there you have it. Give us a break Hollywood, I would love to see a real comedy for once this summer instead of regurgitated crap that some group of writers desperately try to out do themselves each time.

Daddy Day Camp

Ian's Review [1 Razors out of 5]
What's the point of writing a review for Daddy Day Care?  It's a movie that not even Eddie 'Norbit' Murphy would reprise a role in, so I mean, you know it's not going to be good.  But hey, if you want to validate my writing of this review, feel free to read by clicking...

Becoming Jane [3.5 Razors out of 5]
Part biopic, part speculation, part chick flick romance, Becoming Jane will entertain, though probably not dazzle, most audiences.  Taking a few liberties and historical guesses, the film focuses on Jane Austen's early life before her first published work, and her relationship with a young barrister named Tom Lefroy

Comics and DVD's

Comic Rack Issue 33

A look at the comics coming out this week which include Daredevil, Dynamo 5, Green Arrow: Year One, Green Lantern, Omega Flight, Red Sonja, and the first issues of Army of Darkness: From the Ashes and Countdown to Adventure, plus many graphic novels such as 24: Nightfall, Batman: Batman and Son, Women of Marvel Vol. 2 and much, much more.

Rear Window [5 Razors out of 5]
Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window is considered one of the director's finest films by both critics (it earned a 100% Fresh rating from Rotten Tomatoes and ranked 42 on AFI's 100 Greatest American Movies of All Time) and fans (at the time of this review it ranks 13 on IMDB's Top 250 Films of All Time).  Here's the tale of a man in a wheelchair, a beautiful girl, the view from across the courtyard, and murder.

A scant thirty years ago a young filmmaker set forth to make a movie.  The pop culture landscape and the movie business itself would in many ways never be the same.  His name, George Lucas.  His film, Star Wars.  To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the film, which remains my all-time favorite, the RazorFine Crew is proud to present, along with our regular content, a week-long look at the trilogy and the prequels, the books and the comics, the video games (and that awful Christmas Special), and so much more.  May the force by with you!  (and, if anything goes wrong, remember "It's not my fault!")
