We have decided to forego the buying of a house right now.  The seller had no interest in coming down, and we had no interest in coming up.  So its a no for now - we'll look again in a few months.

Do you want to see a good movie?  I really enjoyed 'Little Miss Sunshine'.  I felt that many people in the world, myself included, could relate to many parts of the film.  Be aware, however that the 'F' word is used far more than it needed to be used.

Another good film was 'Just Like Heaven'.  Reese Witherspoon and Mark Rufalo.  Typical romantic comedy.  Some very funny parts, some romantic parts.  The premise is a little short, but overall, a very good movie.

Know any good movies?

I'm getting older - I'm getting behind.  I think its time to buy a house.

My wife and I are in the process of getting a house.  We did some looking around this area and found a little old house just outside of town.  Its a tiny little 1000sf job with only 2 bed and 1 bath.  There has been muhc debate/discussion on whether we would be able to survive in such a small place.  We both feel we could because of the potential this thing has.

#1 - the house sites on .8 acres.  It is technically 3+ city lots (though its not in the city)  Because of this fact, when (if) the city annexes the area, we would be able to subdivide the property and sell off the other lot(s) - (which we probably wouldn't due to other reasons).  BUT - if we did, we could expect to make $30,000 dollars on just the property and for what this house is going for, that would be about 20% of our mortgage.  Those whom we have talked to think the annex could happen within 3 years.

#2 - since the house is on a big lot, remodel / add-ons are entirely possible.  We can add a garage on one side and a split level on the other - the house is built in such a way that these addons would be simple.  By doing this, we would nearly double the square footage and make it a 3 bed 3 bath house at around 2000sf on nearly an acre.  Who wouldn't want to buy that?

#3 - the lot has a large garden area (with planter boxes to boot) and 7 fruit trees with 4-5 different fruits.  Add this all together and we could go to the local Farmers Market: (http://www.ams.usda.gov/farmersmarkets/States/Montana.htm#H) with fruit and vegetable for sale, adding more income to put towards the addition.

Why not?

My father received another letter in the mail.  This time it was from the County Coroners office.  In short, they found that most of the damage to the deceased was on her left side.  This would be consistant with her leaving the curb and barely haveing entered the street when my father hit her.  We were all concerned that she had crossed nearly the whole street and my father had failed to see her.  But it would seem that she left the curb and stepped out in front of my father.  This sure eases our minds regarding the situation.  We assume that the legal portion of the whole situation saw this same report, hence, no ticket or legal action against my father.

So technically, the whole thing is over, except, of course, my fathers emotional state due to him knowing that he was responsible for the death of this woman.  We continue to pray for him and he seems to be overcoming it successfully, but it will take more time.

Its a sad situation, but life happens and accidents happen.  Despite the worst accidents and incidents, we deal with what we are given.  I think my father is doing just that.

Here is in informational post for yall.  I own Great Planes' Realflight G3 and since my last computer format, I haven't been able to get it to work properly.  So, over the last few days I've been fighting and working to get it on.  I talked with Knife edge software (maker of Realflight G3) tech support and they helped some, but it actually came down to Norton.  I'm not a big fan of Norton, but I have to admit it is one of the best for overall protection.

So - Here is what I found out: I was receiving the following errors:

Error: The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found.
Error: KEError 12212: Unable to connect to server.  Make sure you have access to the Internet (check firewall settings if applicable). Description: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
Error: KEError 21023: Unable to register: Client/Server transaction failed
Error: KEError 21051: Unknown Product Code

All of these errors really don't mean anything but one thing - Norton Firewall is on.  Well norton allows me to turn off the firewall, but not without giving me a message every 20 seconds telling me that it is off.  Well DUH!!!!  I KNOW its off - so I called norton and she tells me that I'm not allowed to turn it off without getting the messages.  Thats quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever heard.  Here is a great analogy:

I own an alarm clock - I turn the alarm off and every twenty second, my clock says "Your alarm is off" "Your alarm is off" "Your alarm is off" "Your alarm is off"  AHHHHHH!!!!  What a pain in the butt.   Of course the lady from Norton was no more help so I figured out that I had to setup additional firewall rules within Norton to get Realflight to work.  After doing that - Now my Realflight G3 works correctly, updated to Realflight G3.5 and I'm happy again.

Now its on to figuring out my network - its decided it doesn't want to recognize the other computers.  Ugh.
