weeeeeelllllllll...I returned home from Nashville on thursday after spending the week at the 2009 GMA conference. It was a grand old time and I got to hang out with a bunch of old friends. The showcase we did on monday night featured me/brandon bee and Paul Wright/rootdown. went awesome and we felt great about the whole experience. The Album is being mastered currently and we just added a new track called "back home". The new track is produced by Paul wright and mixed by Jeff Frankenstein of the Newsboys!! I think you guys will like it a lot..I did!! Keep your eyes peeled and your hearts pure y'all...

for each song on the new album I give a little story about the meaning and even some background on a few. I figured I would share one with you guys. this is the meaning behind "smokescreen":

Sin is a Disease.......The Bible says sin full grown equals death......
Sin is sly, it almost seems like truth, or acceptable, until it
swallows you whole and you feel trapped. I compare the deceit of a
sinful life to a smokescreen the devil puts up for our entertainment.
It's like a twisted puppet show we never realize were the star of until
it's almost to late....almost....you see the devil may have tied
marionettes to our arms and legs trying to kill us, but Jesus Christ
steps into the middle of the show and cuts down every single bounding
rope. But we have to be willing to step away from the production. we
have to be willing to see right through the smokescreen and enter into
forgiveness and peace through Jesus Christ.

Current mood:  nostalgic
Hey Everyone...

I logged on today after practice for our new years gig and noticed my bro iNNATE had posted a new blog, and new music (YEAH!!!!)

I began to read his blog and realized it was a farewell of sorts....not to our friendship or anything, but to the ministry he has been involved with for the past decade or so. Since he is moving on to the next faze in his pursuit of God, I wanted to look back and speak on our nearly four years of friendship and brotherhood.

I met iNNATE (a.k.a. Nathan Kraker) at a concert in Roseburg Oregon in late march 2005. I had just released my debut record "activate" and was doing shows to support it. I instantly connected and felt a bond to Nate and soon he committed to being my DJ and vocal back-up on tour. We traveled all over the west coast on tour with Seventh day slumber and did spot dates as far away as Connecticut and Massachusetts. we had a lot of fun and a lot of trials (Nate, remember the 32 hour trip to Blythe California, and the "Organic deodorant"?) we booked our own tours (Nate would usually book 75% percent of it LOL) I leaned on Nate more than he will ever know to keep me sane. The biggest thing to me, that made me a fan of Nathan now and forever is something he said to me early on. I asked him why he was willing to drive 4 hours to help me out, and he said simply "I just want to serve you and your ministry". That is iNNATE in a nutshell...smart, funny as heck, and one of my best friends. Please go and listen to his music (you'll find him in my top spot on my friends the next few days) and tell him thanks for everything. And if your one of the many people that has had your life effected by him, hit him up and let him know!!

Hey Nate...for now and forever...thanks for being you

Hello everyone in webville,

I just wanted to tell everyone that we finished the vocals this week on my new record and now it has gone to mix!! I am very excited to present to you my album of Organic Hip-Hop. This record will contain a lot of what you expect but much of it is a complete departure. Be prepared to love it or hate it......

I also wanted to take time to thank everyone who has waited nearly 4 years for this new joint. I love all of you but I wanted to point out a few people that really go to bat for me and my ministry. I want to start with my Homie from the North Nathan Russnek....This young man has promoted me tirelessly in Canada and even got roughed up by some security guards because he was handing out flyers for me..thanks nate.  Kevin Looker is a man that has got me shows and opportunities for little or no money....if I go Kevy your coming with me to the top brotha....And finally....my man Derek Hoiem. He owns the label I am currently on and completely bought into my ministry and vision (figuratively and physically) I am so blessed to have him in my corner and rest assured Derek I will be in yours as long as you'll have me. I did not mention other people like my KILLER band because we will save that for another day, nor did I mention my family and friends because if I have not told you this yet face to face I have failed....

Lastly gas is getting cheaper!!! today in Lebanon I saw it for $1.95 a gallon at fast gas..this is going to make touring a lot easier!! I just might come to your town after all fans!!!

also if you could go to my top friends and find "rain on me productions" and go there and be friends...please tell them to keep doing what they are doing because it is making a difference.

alright everyone. I was sitting here browsing myspace and eating a fresh box of bottle caps...not the "roll" but the big ballin' box. As I ate the multi-colored treats I noticed a big pile of "cola" and "rootbeer" flavored ones had emerged...I guess my point is this....I hate the rootbeer and cola flavored bottle caps. I could LIVE on the other flavors (and looking at my waist line you might think that is already the case) but the rootbeer and cola bottle caps make me ill. This fact prompted me to look at all the wierd little nuainces I have and wonder what other strange habits people have. Heres the deal. you post your strange habit or fear (nothing off color please!) and you win Casey Mesurvey's wallet he lost in the Califonia Redwoods last summer! You might have to wrestle Bigfoot for it though...just a heads up. alright everyone tell us how wierd you are!

I am SO glad to see Boston in the finals. Just like the old days in the 80's it's the lakers and Celtics....I hope the Celtics crush L.A. (sorry any L.A. fans it's nothing personal) and wipe that grin off of Kobe's mouth forever.
