The Daily Star and Media Guardian have both reported that the BBC is considering a full length Doctor Who motion picture.
Sources within the BBC have been quoted as saying that new synergies between BBC Films and the BBC Television Centre could lead to the production, which would feature David Tennant as the Doctor and possibly tie into earlier reported rumors of a return of Billie Piper as Rose.
Two Doctor Who films were released in the 1960s, but featured Peter Cushing as the Doctor and did not tie into the classic series. A TV movie as also released in the 90s featuring Paul McGann as the 8th Doctor.
