Pleased to stream the song TRANSPORTER from forthcoming monster drum n bass album
"CRASH BANG WALLOP" by LOGISTICS. The album is out 24th September and getting some serious
props already. 4 x vinyl out shortly. Tony C (London Elektricity) also played the Transporter tune on the most recent Hospital Podcast (no 95) so more joy there! It def feels good to be singing on another HOSPITAL RECORDS album. Check out previous collaborations with Nu:Tone and London Elektricity too. If
you've not clocked this label wise up........they swept up at the recent Drum and Bass Arena awards. www.hospitalrecords.com
Transporter sounded great on BBC Radio 1's Fabio and Grooverider show 06/09/09 kicking off Logistic's 20 minute greatest hits mega mix and seriously kicked ass through the PA at Matter (O2) re-wound to 3000 ravers! Its no 1 in High Contrast's personal chart and included on the chart topping "This Is Drum n Bass" 2 x CD comp too. Check it out in the player......... BLOG Update (one month on) ..... The album is no 1 in the BBC's drum n bass charts!

You may know JOHN KENNEDY from his previous albums on the TRU THOUGHTS and GRAND CENTRAL labels You may even know Jon through his amazing remix of my live band: Kava Kava's TIC You may even even know Jon through his shock appearance with Kava Kava as drummer on their Tour Of China! Anyway, I'm pleased to be featured on his new album "14" set to be released 1st September on - wait for it - DOUBLE WHITE VINYL. How cool is that? The label is US label ORGANIK RECORDINGS. I'm a big fan of the SXSW Festival and Conference. It was ace when Kava Kava played there in 2007 too! Now then, Yorkshire is the largest county in the UK. I've been doing some regional promotions at SXSW for a few years now via the Timeless Music Project sampler CDs, but it has long been an ambition to see a Yorkshire gig at the British Music Embassy (that's the Latitude 30 venue - rebranded each year for SXSW). Seen so many good bands there over the last few years, so for this year, much of the SXSW experience was working towards this idea. And glad to report the event was a good one! Phew! Just as well really..... At times "one in - one out" people even loved the mini Yorkshire Puddings (what? look that up on wikipedia). The bands all played very well from Rolo Tomassi right through Paul Marshall, Talk To Angels, Sky Larkin and Wild Beasts ... you did us proud. Aside from our Yorkshire gig it was good to chat with Akon, Sheffield legend Jarvis Cocker, be blown a kiss at by Juliette Lewis at her gig - seriously - (Juliette and her new band rocked it btw) and to see healthy electro and hip hop influences this year, highlights being Shunda K, Ebony Bones, Rye Rye, Thunderheist, Kid Cudi, Mapei ..... Recently there's been some good media coverage on the "Yorkshire do" since coming back too for example on BBC Radio - STEVE LAMACQ's show and also a BBC Raw Talent Introducing interview which should be streamed for another 7 days or so: BBC Raw Talent More info on the Yorkshire Launch Party @ SXSW here : Music Yorkshire website

A few weeks back I went down to London to see the good chaps at drum n bass label HOSPITAL RECORDS and legendary producer LONDON ELEKTRICITY aka Tony Coleman got me on one of his friggin' tracks !! The outcome is a song called "MAYBE I WAS WRONG". Top dance music press MIXMAG have the SYNCOPATED CITY LP as 'drum n bass album on the month' and picks out the song as the one to listen to. Get in! MIXMAG say: "when he (L/E) gets the right balance between musical expression and simplicity of delivery, as on "Maybe I Was Wrong", he makes some of the most delicious dance music out there" NB in the UK the track appears on the VINYL format of the album only. But my spies inform me that the Japanese label THIRD EAR have it on their CD release and the mp3 version of the album also features said track when you buy it direct from HOSPITAL RECORDS Listen to it here - first! Seems like I'm building up a nice drum'n'bass repertoire now. "Maybe I Was Wrong" is a follow up to the Nu:Tone collaboration I did in 2007 called "Beliefs" out now on Hospital Records and doing good...................... Can still remember seeing some video footage of the live band version of London Elektricity whilst over in Tokyo of all places (not sure how they weren't on my radar back in Huddersfield mind!?! what did you just say?) Anyway it blew me away - so to end up recording with said artist a few years later is a top result! OTHER NEWS: NEW SHOP AND YOUTUBE Got a new CHOCOLATE FIREGUARD DOWNLOAD SHOP on the label website click here!! Some peeps may know me from the live dance rock act Kava Kava. You can get all those releases from the shop. Speaking of which Youtube is wonderful place ain't it! There is now some footage from a really cool gig this band did in Czech Republic last May via THE OFFICIAL KAVA KAVA YOUTUBE SITE and just in - some weird on stage footage of Kava Kava's set at Glastonbury Dance Stage 2007 HERE and Beijing Midi Festival HERE Bad sound quality but a good crack ........ Laters...... Pat

If you know me through Kava Kava (- the live band I've been organising and singing in for too many years!) - can you help us all decide what this fish is?! The album art is for the digital release called Tic. The main mix has been featured in the new HBO TV series John From Cincinnati over in the USA alongside a quality all star cast of soundtracksters including TV on The Radio. Muse, Joe Strummer, Bob Dylan etc etc. A great series involving surf culture. All in all a great result for the band. The digital release on itunes features Jon Kennedy's remix (as in Grand Central, Tru Thoughts etc etc) who I've been singing with a bit too........ You can buy it here: .. or just type kava kava tic into itunes
