Ok guys - here's what's been going on. First up, in the next 2 weeks we'll have our very first compilation album of 17 new/rare/unreleased tracks from some of the most awesome musicians I've been lucky enough to hear - Folk Music for the End of the World - there's some streaming clips up on www.yerbird.com. Hey guys - yes, I know.. it's been a whole 11 months without updating the MySpace blog - you do know that there's a real blog at www.yerbird.com/blog right?

Well the big news these days is the upcoming compilation album - Folk Music for the End of the World - that we're putting out first thing in 2007. It's going to have a ton of new and unreleased songs from a multitude of awesome artists: Alina Simone, The Gunshy, Matthew Ryan, Hayden, J. Tillman, Sarah White, Chris Bathgate, Oweihops, Paleo, Nic Garcia, Hezekiah Jones, The Hotel Ghost and more! There's also a possibility of M. Ward bringing us something new, which would be extra sweet, since we kind of named the label after one of his songs.

More details as this comes closer to completion. There's a couple other big Yer Bird projects in the works, too - 2007 is going to be awesome.
