Just an update on what we got cookin...
-As some of you who attended the Jan 24th show in MA may know, we debuted some brand new songs. We plan on doing so throughout all of our upcoming shows. We're in the process of writing, and we plan on having a new record out later on this year...
-We'll be playing shows here and there, so stay tuned and be on the look out for a show near you...
-Also as you may very well know, Lourds Lane and Sarah Vasil are cooking up a storm with Super Chix. If you havent already done so, check them out!
-Be ready folks, its gonna be a fun filled year!

Michael Musto, renowned celebrity gossip writer and resident VH1 expert, gave a nod to Lourds Lane and her upcoming rock opera, SUPER CHIX, in this week's issue of the Village Voice: "A saint among men, I judged the four-hour M.E.A.N.Y. Fest band contest at Santos' Party House, where violinist/rock star Lourds Lane told me that her rock opera, Super Chix, is coming to New Stages. Maybe it can be the new miracle of Lourds." | Today is an extremely sad day. We mourn the death of Alex Crank, the lead singer/guitar player of Marky Ramone and the Intruders, and the first guitar player of LOURDS when Lourds was a young teenager. Suffering from ALS for the past 7 years, Alex, in perfect punk rock fashion, fought the good fight often saying, "I don't have ALS ... I'm just drunk!". When we played a benefit show for Alex in Mulcahy's in Long Island a couple years back, Alex looked on at his former band proudly and did the only form of "moshing" he could do by circling around in front of the stage in his wheelchair. Today, he passed on in his sleep. Alex, you stretched my mind, toughened my skin, and very much helped shape the person I am. Hail to the angel and the devil and the preacher ... Hail to the sinner, the apprentice and the teacher ... You are with me always, Alex. I love you. | |
