As many of you know, the OP Presents Tour
will be my last with VersaEmerge. After considering many things, I've decided
to take a break from touring and performing music. Although I love what we do, I
have decided that being on the road is not for me. It's was an incredibly hard
decision but I feel like it's something I have to do; it would be selfish of me
to adjust my priorities to fit my career. With that said, I want everyone to
know that my relationship with VE hasn't changed at all. I'll always support
the band as if I were still a part of it and will always consider Blake, Sierra
and Devin my closest friends.
I
want to thank all of you for your tireless support of VE and I. We're so lucky
to have people who genuinely care for us and our music. I'll of course miss you
all to death and know you'll continue to support the band as much as I do. There
is much to look forward to- I can assure you that this is only the beginning
for VE. I think we all know that the band and its music will always provide all
of us with the entertainment, inspiration and love it always has.
Yours,
-Jerry
p.s. We appreciate everyone that offered to fill Jerry's shoes, but we are not looking for a guitarist. So please do not reach out to us.
In other news, we have started working on our new full length. We are currently in LA doing some writing and recording.

Woke up to this fresh in my brain…
I was wandering around, by myself, absolutely nothing near by, but I
didn’t feel lost, yet I didn’t know where I was going. The ground
started to move like it was pulling me towards something quickly
because I was walking to slow. Trees started to fly by, palm trees to
be exact, and the ground was all sand, no grass or anything, just
bright gold sand. It all stopped after a short while and I was standing
in front of a huge white church like building. At first I was confused
but I walked right in. I then realized I was at my old school, Indian
Rocks Christian. I despised this school. They sucked the life out of
kids with Over discipline and we wasted half of our class/play time by
sitting in time out , or maybe that was just me… But all I recall from
my days there was me being constantly reprimanded for being different,
I was a pretty Weird kid, as you can imagine, but you can’t hold a kid
down like they did. They also scared me shitless into the thought that
if I didn’t except jesus Christ into my life I would never see my
family again and I would burn in hell and I would forever be in pain
blah blah, I don’t think you should tell that to a 6 yr old! I was
terrified! Also my sister was slapped in the face by some bully bitch
who was a soccer player, the principal of the school was also the
coach, they kicked my sister out of the school!(my experience at this
school is what inspired the song the Authors) I soon left and went to
an art school were I discovered creativity! Anyway back to my dream,
So I’m at my old school and I instantly decide I’m going to fuck with
everyone and everything, I could careless if they throw me out or call
the cops. I started to walk up the stairs and kids are walkig around in
perfect single file lines, thru a glass wall I see a lot of the kids I
went to school with. I couldn’t believe they were still there and they
looked the exact same. It was very creepy. So I started to bang on the
glass to get there attention and no one even noticed, they just kept
marching up these stairs that had a bright light at the top, kind of
like they were marching up to heaven.
I continued upstairs and came to a room that had 2 huge beds. They were
full of people sleeping. Suddenly they all jumped up from underneath
the blankets and there were about 5 ppl in ech bed. The people were my
old theatre classmates! They all had their thespian shirts on and asked
me if I was ready to go. Before I could spit out a word they grabbed
me. Next thing I know I’m at a huge cirque soliel tent, similar to the
one in downtown Disney. I hear the opening act of lion king, then I see
my mom far above me in a seat waving, she screamed good luck
And then disappeared. I still had no idea what was going on. I walked
backstage and started down some stairs, there was a dressing room full
of dancers, none of them noticed that I was there and completely out of
place. Then someone, ran into the room and told me to follow them, we
started to run down stairs and through rooms and down more stairs. It
began to get really warm, then really hot, we were going so far
underground that my head was hurting. Finally he stops and opens a door
to a room were everyone is getting ready, but there was something
Weird, no one was speaking English, it was all gibberish, then I
noticed everyone eyes were white and there tongues were red, almost as
of they were demons and I was in hell… THE END!
