Hello everybody.  It's been a while since we've posted a blog because it has been crazy busy with touring and polishing the release of the fourth AVITIA album.  We performed recently at the Seattle Hempfest and had a great time in the state of Washington.  We'd like to thank all of the fan support that we got in the Northwest.  We look forward to performing there again soon.  "You Are When You Do" is set to be released on Tue. Sep 22nd.  Look for it on Amazon, Itunes, Rhapsody, and Emusic.  Demand it from your local record store if they don't have it.  Look for more touring and studio updates.

Hola Chicas and Chicos, 

Hey everybody.  Here is the latest on the AVITIA front.  We are putting the finishing touches on our fourth studio album "You Are When You Do".  We're all really excited about the new songs and can't wait to perform them live in a music dive/stadium near you.  The good news is that in the last couple of months, we have been able to do lots of touring out of state and right here in the So-Cal area.  We performed at the SXSW music conference with a few other great North County bands, Irieside, Mean Dinosaur, and Reason To Rebel and had a blast.  Big shows already booked (check our MySpace for dates and venues) and plans for more touring coast to coast.  This summer is set to be our biggest one yet and we plan to bring all of you with us.  Keep spreading the word and we look forward to hanging out and bringing the madness.  Thanks.

In an attempt to stem the tide of our country's economic crisis, we've decided that the patriotic thing to do would be provide some free entertainment to help those without discretionary incomes.  It's the AVITIA and Mean Dinosaur  entertainment stimulus package.  Live FREE show at Rookies Sports Bar on El Camino Real ( 2 blocks north of the 78) in Oceanside.  All ages.  Show starts at 8:00.  Come out.

Look for the new AVITIA album "Ireland Awaits" soon.  It is set for digital release on Dec 9th.  10 brand new songs.  You can preview two songs on our myspace site;  "Diamonds" and "Disco Dan".  The CD version will be available in store in Jan 2009 but fans of digital technology can get first dibs on the new stuff.  Can't wait for you guys to hear it.  We are covering a lot of bases musically with this album and it has once again been engineered by Matt Reynolds (As I Lay Dying, Destroy the Runner, Diego Roots).  As always, his work is exceptional.  We ask that you spread the word and send folks to any of the places where you can get the music.  On Dec 9th, go here to pick up the whole album:
