Opera Memphis Chorus Auditions for the 2008-2009 Season will be held on
Monday, April 14 and Tuesday, April 15 between 7:00PM and 9:00PM.

Audition Requirements: 
2 selections (prefer art songs and/or arias)
Sight-reading

LA TRAVIATA - October 25 & 28, 2008
SCOTT JOPLIN AND TREEMONISHA - January 24 & 25, 2009
FAUST - April 25 & 28, 2009

Opera Memphis Chorus membership is by audition only.  Auditions are held at the conclusion of the opera season or by appointment throughout the year.  Each member of the Opera Memphis Chorus who successfully completes the requirements of the production will receive an honorarium.  The minimum honorarium is three hundred dollars ($300.00), which will increase with the complexity of the opera.  Minimum age for membership is 18 years old.

Opera Memphis Section Leaders are vocal musicians with advanced levels of technique and musicianship.  An additional honorarium is provided to the section leaders of a production.
