Every once in awhile you see a story on the news, or hear a song that brings a tear to your eye. Today was one of those days.
I was watching Fox and Friends, and they were interviewing Jeremiah Workman, a Marine who earned the Navy Cross for his bravery and heroism in the War on Terror.
Just listening to his story, saying he felt he didn't deserve the honor, that his 3 fellow Marines that lost their life are the true heroes, really opens ones eyes to what our Military goes thru on a daily basis.
He wrote a book "Shadow Of The Sword: A Marines Journey of War, Heroism and Redemption"
I plan on getting that book.
He at some point met Derek Sholl. A country singer. Derek had written a song in remembrance of a neighbors son who died in the war. Since meeting Jeremiah, the two have become best of friends, and Derek dedicated the song to Jeremiah and all our Armed Forces.
On stage of Fox and Friends he got all choked up before starting the song, and boy did the waterworks start flowing here in my living room.
I tried getting the video for this blog, but as I've said many times, crappy computer. So I'm posting the link for the page that the video is on. Please go and watch it, listen to it, and honor our Military and fallen heroes.
When They Come Back
Please don't post any videos on the blogs.. if you want to share a video, please post the link to it.
Thanks :)

Why is it that thousands upon thousands of people can march
on Washington in protest of Big Government and have not ONE arrest…. Yet a
handful of idiots in Pittsburgh results in numerous arrests?
....
I was watching Hannity last night ( OH MY GOD!! Yes I watch
Hannity!! Try me for Treason!!) and he had to young ladies on who couldn’t even
say that what the protesters did was wrong.
They couldn’t even say that throwing rocks at police and destroying
businesses was wrong. Instead they
said, “we can understand their anger”
Their parents must be so proud of them.. Another thing about the protesters, if they’re so proud of what they do, then why cover their faces?
Why hide behind a mask or a bandana?
Cowards are all they are.
....
Being without a computer for two months was not a lot of
fun, but I got a lot of reading done.
....
....
If you haven’t read “A slobbering love affair” yet…… HIGHLY
recommended.
....
I’m still looking for work, I’ve applied to many, but heard
back from none LOL This may be my
destiny.
....

....
I was reading some blogs in the top News and Politics and
came across a few interesting ones. I find it funny how most liberals think
“the right” are all bigots, racists, and don’t want to help anybody. Tex Shelters ‘spoof’ blog was pretty
pathetic with all the “Let the people of Georgia fend for themselves. Why should our tax money go to help
them?” Someone else had the brilliant
comment of “Barack Obama hates white people”
....
Most on the left think we should all look like this…
....
....
They claim ‘the right’ is the party of racists. That if we dare to disagree with any of
Obama’s policies that OH MY GOD!! We must be racist!! I don’t know about anyone else, but that’s getting really old…
really quick. Hahaha.. and how soon
they forget these little gems…
....
"In Delaware, the largest growth of population is
Indian-Americans, moving from India. You cannot go to a 7/11 or a Dunkin'
Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking." Said by none other than our dear Vice
President.....
....
Or how about this one?....
....
Mahatma Gandhi "ran a
gas station down in Saint Louis."
Go Hillary!....
....
"Is you their
black-haired answer-mammy who be smart? Does they like how you shine their
shoes, Condoleezza? Or the way you wash and park the whitey's cars?" - Left-wing radio host Neil Rogers....
....
But I guess
that’s acceptable. There's no racists in the Democratic Party after all. I'll make note of that.....
....
There’s
plenty more, considering I didn’t even use a quote from Sen. Byrd. But this blog is long enough, and I don’t
want to bore anyone. ....
....
....
....
Reading those blogs says it all.
....
....
And I’m throwing this picture in just cuz I thought it was
hysterical.
....
 see more Lolcats
and funny pictures
....
Oh one more thing………..
....
I thought the left was supposed to be the party
of peace love and hippiness and all
that crap.. so politically correct and kind to our fellow man? So why then, is it acceptable for La Chica
to be calling someone a “Retard”. Isn’t
that an unacceptable word? If I were to
go to a liberal blog and call someone that, I would be attacked from all sides………
But I see it was OK for La Chica to do it…. Nobody said a word to her about
it. And they say WE have double
standards?

I'M BACK!!!!! Did Ya Miss Me?? (you better say yes!)
I have soooo much to say about soooo many things.. (it's been a long time since I've written a blog.) But I'm going to try to get caught up on a few blogs, and try to choke my way thru some *coughJaniecough* blogs, and then I'll be writing another blog :)

It’s easy to make fun of someone once they’re dead. It’s easy to make fun of someone you don’t
know.
....
For example, When the Challenger exploded, there were jokes
running rampant. What does N.A.S.A.
stand for? Need another 7
astronauts. What were Christa
McCaulliffes last words? Whats this
button for? Funny? They weren’t so
funny to me. My niece went to school
with Christa’s daughter. My niece
played softball with Christa’s daughter..Christa would have been my nieces
teacher. so I didn’t find those jokes funny.
....
Kinda like the jokes about Michael Jackson. What were Farrah’s last words? May all the children of the world be safe…
and Michael Jackson dropped dead.
....
Funny? Not to
me.
....
Have I laughed at tasteless jokes? You bet I have.. I’ve even told my share of tasteless jokes. But jokes about pedophilia just aren’t funny
to me. Especially when the person they
are aimed at, was proven not guilty in a court of law. Innocent until proven guilty, doesn’t exist
in this country anymore. You can be proven
innocent, you can be completely acquitted of charges, and people will STILL
continue to condemn you. Just for being
different.
....
I mean, My God, what a horrible thing that Michael Jackson
wanted to help the children of the World.
What a horrible thing that he gave millions upon millions of dollars to
charities. What a disgusting low down
dirty thing he did by creating Neverland Ranch so cancer kids, and needy kids,
could have a place to go and ‘be a kid’.
Shame on him.
....
Somebody ‘likes kids’ and we jump to assume he’s a
pervert. Somebody dedicates their life
to making sure children are happy, and we call him a child molester. A jealous father, jealous of the time his
son spends at Neverland, accuses Jackson of molestation, and the world JUMPS at
the chance to believe it. The press was
relentless, the tabloids were despicable, and we ate it all up, word for word. Couldn’t get enough of it. He was guilty before he ever went to trial.
....
Most people felt he was guilty because the first case never
went to trial. In fact, a lot of people
probably don’t even realize that it wasn’t even a case in criminal court. The family ‘chose’ to do a civil lawsuit,
because they knew they’d get more money.
Funny isn’t it? A father
supposedly finds out that someone molested his son, and all he wants is
money? He doesn’t want to see the man
put behind bars? He doesn’t want to see
“Justice be done” so that this man can never do that to another child? Nope, he took it to civil court and THEN the
teenager refused to testify. Again………
hmmmm… The father wanted to settle out
of court for an undisclosed amount. In the
multimillions. A settlement that was conducted with Jacksons insurance company,
not something he wanted to do himself.
....
The second case against him didn’t even come from the family
himself. It came from the teacher of
one of the kids on the documentary after she saw him resting his head on
Michaels shoulder. OH MY GOD!! He rested his head on his shoulder???? THROW HIM IN JAIL! He MUST be a pedophile!!
The family denied and denied and denied any wrong doing, and molestation,
until that is, the kid was repeatedly teased at school, and the family realized
they could make some money off the deal.
How many people know that this same family had other fraudulent lawsuits
they were involved in? But THAT doesn’t
matter, does it.. Cuz it’s Michael Jackson!
And everyone knows he’s a freak, everyone KNOWS he’s a pedophile, I mean
after all………. He likes kids!! He likes
to spend time with kids……….. HANG HIM!!
....
Was he
‘different’? You bet. Was he ‘odd’? Absolutely. Did he see
things differently, from a different point of view of what’s considered the
norm? He sure did. He saw nothing wrong with wanting to spend
time with children. He saw nothing
wrong with trying to make children happy.
He saw nothing wrong with reliving a childhood he never had.
....
Yet because of his quirkiness, because of the rumors,
because of the tabloid sensationalism, we all ate it up like savages every time
a story came out. What was “Whacko
Jacko” up to now? What crazy thing was
he doing this time? How many alien
babies did he father this year?
....
You all can say what you want, and crack the jokes that you
want, just don’t expect me to laugh at them.
I find it sad that someone can be found not guilty of the most
horrendous thing that could possibly be brought against him, and yet the world
found him guilty as charged. The better story was to believe that he was a pedophile,
regardless of the evidence, regardless of the HUNDREDS of children who were
interviewed and said Jackson never acted inappropriately. None of that matters.. cuz that doesn’t
sell. That’s not spectacular
enough. There’s no story in
innocence. It’s more fun to consider
him guilty. To JUDGE a person you don’t know, and assume you know more than
what the courts were able to provide for evidence.
....
I’m linking this blog I read, she spoke her mind, and made
some great points.
....
To hear people calling him a pedophile, a child molester,
‘rot in Hell’, and whatever else they’re saying……….. it’s just sad. He was
found not guilty. He was found NOT to
be a pedophile, but that’s not the answer everyone wanted to hear. The world WANTED him to be guilty, to verify
his freakiness.
....
This really has put a lot of things into perspective. People DO judge others, regardless of how
much everyone claims ‘not’ to. Everyone
has judged Michael Jackson, and pegged him as a pedophile instead of seeing it
for what it was… complete extortion.
That’s not as juicy as pedophilia tho huh?
....
I cried when he died.
Call me crazy all you want, but I cried. Mostly because of the sadness of his life. Always having it over his head that nobody
believed him to be innocent. Can you
even imagine for a minute… imagine for just a minute, that he truly was
innocent, and never once molested any child.
Can you even fathom what his life must have been like? Hearing those accusations day after day
after day? Knowing you didn’t do it, but
the world thinking you did. Think how
you would feel if it were to happen to you, or a family member, and you knew it
wasn’t true. The courts said not
guilty. Yet society still labeled you
as a freak and a pedophile.
....
That was Michael Jacksons world.
(I can't watch videos on this computer, but I think this is the one I wanted to post) LOL

I posted this in a comment but I do want to make sure everyone involved sees it. This is not a personal attack or slam on anyone, it's just my observation of what I've seen over the past couple of days, and it's just sad that it's all come to this.
Personally, I think ALL these blogs about this
are going too far. Everyone is at each others throats and bringing
other peoples family members and children into the conversation,
something that is supposed to be 'taboo',. Too many personal insults
and hurtful digs have been thrown at people that before this doctor was
killed, considered themselves 'friends'. Now you're all calling each
other morons and hypocrites and all telling each other that all deserve
to be gunned down.So for everyone that has taken part in the
mudslinging, when is enough enough? Everyone has an opinion about
this, and from where I stand, you all look a little foolish for
slamming each other over the death of someone nobody knows, and will
forget about when the next big news story comes out. Words can be
taken out of context and twisted to suit anyones perception. "Cheering"
that this man is dead, doesn't necessarily mean that person was doing a
dance in her living room. It could simply mean she thought "Heh, one
less baby killer in the world" Which is what most everyone here thought
too, but chose different words to say it. Maybe I'm just
disappointed in the way I see a lot of people I happen to care about,
going at each other like rabid animals. One going as far to say they'd
donate to the defense fund of the killer, and another threatening to
disclose information about someones child because she didn't like what
was said about her. Again, I thought children were off limits? I think you all need to take a break before things are said that go way over the line. I
like all of you, and this ridiculous back and forth about whether or
not his killing was 'justified' is not really any of our decisions to
begin with."
So, would everyone PLEASE take a few steps back and realize that what you're saying can be viewed as slightly extreme?
Seriously, who really cares how someone reacted to Tillers death? If Osama Bin Laden were to be gunned down today, would there not be a "Cheer" through out the entire country that he was gone?
I don't condone this mans murder, but I'm not condemning those that have spoken out about it either, or vice versa.
Everyone needs to just stop the mudslinging already. Again, would you not feel a sense of justice if Osama Bin Laden were dead? What if a civilian came across him, and shot him dead. Would that civilian be condemned for comitting murder? Or hailed a hero for ridding the world of a despicable man? It all depends on what your views are. Nobody is right or wrong, just different opinions.

I am sick and tired of hearing and reading about how Fox News and Bill O'Reilly are responsible for Tiller's death. Some guy posted a blog titled "Fox News Inciting Murder!!". And he posts a video of Keith Olbermann using quotes by O'Reilly, saying O'Reilly and Fox News are responsible for that psycho killing Tiller.
So, by his reasoning, Olbermann and MSNBC are responsible for the killing of our US soldier outside the recruitment center right? Because, after all, Olbermann made no bones about all the "torture" our military is doling out to detainees.
So enough of the bullshit about Fox and "The Right" being responsible for Tillers death. Either that or be "Fair and Balanced" and hold Olbermann and MSNBC responsible for the death of Pvt. William Long.
But you'll never do that now, will you?

Is it just me, or is Obama once again avoiding the subject at hand? It seemed like all through the election, whenever something 'major' came up, he always had no comment to it, leaving it to the discretion of the President, or it was above his pay grade.
I woke up this morning to find out that North Korea set off two more missiles over night, and could possibly be selling their nuclear weapons to Iran, and what is Obama doing? Announcing who the next Supreme Court Judge is going to be.
Does this seem like a way to deflect the attention of North Korea away from him? Even a reporter at the White House said "We expected to come here this morning and be discussing North Korea, and we get handed this news"
It's time to step up to the plate Obama, you ARE the President now, it IS your responsibility to be dealing with North Korea, it is NOT above your pay grade anymore. Stop trying to divert the attention away from it.. It's not going to go away.

I saw a segment on the news last night, that brought tears to my eyes. Too many times our veterans funerals are not able to have a 'live' bugler playing TAPS due to a shortage of buglers. A recording is played, or a device is placed inside a bugle to simulate a 'live' bugler. I find this so sad that our veterans, who have fought for our country, and given their all, in their final time of rest, have to resort to a taperecording of TAPS.
Please check out this site, Bugles Across America One man started this organization to ensure that EVERY military member receive a live bugler at their funeral. They now have over 6,000 buglers. He has spent countless hours and countless dollars of his own money each year to honor our veterans in the way they should be honored. I couldn't find a video from Fox News Sunday, that aired the segment, so here is a video explaining how Bugles Across America got its start.
..
God Bless our veterans, God Bless our military, past, present and future.
..
The end of this video says "Happy Veterans Day" but the meaning holds the same.
..
Please share a video or a story honoring our great Military.

I don't know why I'm admitting this to all of you, but sometimes you just have to share the stupid stuff you do. I did something yesterday that is just one of those moments (Aren't those little smilie things so cute?) I have a new cellphone, with a built in GPS. (Yes Falcon, a GPS) Yesterday I went to NH to go to my daughter in laws college graduation, ( I am SO Proud of you Elisha!) and my nieces graduation (keep with it Tara! I'm proud of you too!) and I stopped in Concord to pick up my sister Jennifer. She wasn't ready yet (surprise surprise!!) so I was playing with my phone and figured I'd put my sons address in the GPS and see how it worked. Now, I KNOW how to get to my sons house. As soon as I put his address in, the phone starts talking to me and says to take a right at the end of the street.
Once we were on our way, I turned the GPS back on, and we headed out. I told my sister we had to go to 393. But the GPS was yelling at me to go the other way. I said "Why is it telling me to go back that way? Why is it saying to take that street?" blah blah blah..
I get off 93, and turn on to 393.. and then it dawns on me. The damn GPS was right. I was going the wrong way! My son USED to live out off 393, but they moved before Christmas to a completely different town! And I've BEEN THERE!! Just had a little brain cramp <---- Brain cramp
And Flacon? I have to admit, I thought of you.. I was thinking.. "Oh what would Flacon think if he knew I actually got lost with a GPS???" LOL
So that explains why the GPS was telling me to go the other way. And my sister Jennifer? She has lived in Concord for 20 years and says to me "I figured you knew a different way to get to Pembroke" I said "I LIVE IN MASS!! How the HELL would I know a different way??" LMAO!
Moral of the story... sometimes you just gotta trust the GPS :)
And to my other daughter in law Cassie...... it sounds like you ACED your test! Keep us posted!!
Can somebody remind me WHY Obama chose Biden as VP? Liberals were frothing at the mouth at the thought of Palin being President if something were to happen to McCain. And they think Biden can do better? This guy can't keep his mouth shut. Did I actually hear correctly that he 'spilled the beans' about a bunker being built? Is he really that much of a moron? And how bad is it that the President actually makes jokes about it? Doesn't that kinda of demean Biden when even the President is basically calling him an idiot? HE PICKED HIM!
Ben somebody HAS to have won your blog bet by now!
And Jessie Ventura, he should've stuck to wrestling. He is such an ass. (Just thought I'd share that with you) He's on Hannity now throwing around all his conspiracy theories. What a loon. I think he was piledriven a few too many times.

Tom what the hell are doing to the blogs NOW??
I want to thank Paula's readers for inspiring this blog :) Between comments I saw there, and comments on (lets just say, another blog) I couldn't help but laugh at the liberals who try to claim that Conservatives started the whole "Messiah Complex" thing when it comes to Obama.

As always, whenever I question something a liberal says, I do my own investigating. I know that's foreign to some on the left, they'd rather just watch Keith Olbermann to get their Gospel, but I actually do my own thinking :)
 moar funny pictures
On to the Messiah Myth

1. “This is bigger than Kennedy. . . . This is the New Testament.” . . .”I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don’t have that too often. No, seriously. It’s a dramatic event.” — Chris Matthews (personally, I think Olbermann was doing something to him under that desk)
2. “Obama’s finest speeches do not excite. They do not inform. They don’t even really inspire. They elevate. . . . He is not the Word made flesh, but the triumph of word over flesh . . . Obama is, at his best, able to call us back to our highest selves.” — Ezra Klein (Somebody hand her a tissue, she's drooling)
3. “I would characterize the Senate race as being a race where Obama was, let’s say, blessed and highly favored. That’s not routine. There’s something else going on. I think that Obama, his election to the Senate, was divinely ordered. . . . I know that that was God’s plan.”– Bill Rush (Do you want fries with that?)
4. The event itself is so extraordinary that another chapter could be added to the Bible to chronicle its significance.” — Rev. Jesse Jackson Jr.
5. “Barack Obama was a community organizer like Jesus, Pontius Pilate was a governor.” - Steven Cohen, D-Tennesee
6. I can’t believe the man whose speeches I watch on YouTube everyday is so close to me. his speeches give an aura of immortality that belies the fact that he’s a living breathing human - a blogger in the South Florida Sun Sentinel

7. I have been examining the Obama phenomenon myself, and have concluded, at least for myself, a Midwestern white male, that Barack’s appeal is actually messianic, it’s something about his aura, his spirit, his soul, that exudes enlightenment in the making. - Steve Davis

8. That is one of the reasons why I believe he was sent by the Messiah.” - Calypso artiste The Mighty Sparrow

9. “God had a plan for his people. He told them to stand together and march together around the city - and when the horn sounded and a chorus of voices cried out together, the mighty walls of Jericho came tumbling down.” - Obama
10. “A black man with a white mother became a savior to us.” - Louis Farrakhan
11. The atmosphere at his events is such that one wonders if Obama is about to walk out with a basket with some loaves and fishes to feed the thousands. - Washington correspondent Geoff Elliott
12. So I am going to try to be so persuasive in the 20 minutes or so that I speak that by the time this is over, a light will shine down from somewhere. It will light upon you. You will experience an epiphany. And you will say to yourself, I have to vote for Barack. I have to do it. - Obama
 13. “I’m not comparing him to Jesus Christ but… -Brenda Bladen said, before talking about the senator’s humble beginnings
14. “I took the Metro. And everyone was singing Amazing Grace.”- Ali Wentworth, wife of ABC’s George Stephanopoulos
15.
This, boys and girls, is just a small portion of the Messiah ramblings of liberals. To all you liberals who think it's the Conservatives "making this stuff up", take your little ole self right on over to Google, and check it out for yourself. Wait, what's that? You think Keith Olbermann is going to tell you these things? The funny thing is, even Keith Olbermann said something like "down boy!" when Chris Matthews felt that special little tingle up his leg.
Anybody have any more to add to this? Here's the Link where I got these from. There's actually 84 of them, but I felt you'd all be nauseated enough with 15 :) I got so nauseated, I couldn't even finish commenting to all of them HAHAHA!
There ya have it! The Messiah Complex Debunked! :)
