Hello sinners! We just got home from a week long jaunt we referred to as The Devil's Music Tour 2008, and we had a kick ass time!!

We started off in Linn Creek,MO at Donna's Ice house. It was a small town venue with alot of heart. Donna, the owner and venue's namesake, was a kick ass lady who made us feel right at home. It was really cool to find out that she was from my home town of Valparaiso,IN. WE were the only band in town that night, so we took our sweet time setting up, and had some home cooked food (The beef stew was excellent!). It wasnt a huge crowd, but those that came showed their appreciation. Thanks to Jimmy "The Tooth" for limping in their and hangin with us the whole night! We ended up playing 2 sets, and having lots of laughs. Thank you Donna, and the whole staff at Dona's Ice House!

From there, we drove through the night to Fort Worth,TX. The weather was much nicer there than at home, so once we got to our hotel, Pumpkin decided to walk to our room. Only problem was, we decided to mess with him and tell him the wrong room number. It was fun watching him try his key on different doors, and talking to the house keeping lady about why his key wouldnt work. But Pumpkin retaliated by locking us out of the room while he took a shit. Now that I think about it, I guess he did us a favor. That afternoon, we headed over to Wicked Ways Tattoos for a meet-n-greet. Thank you to Christian, and his wife for the home cooked meal. We had a great time!

Saturday night, we were ready to play  at Rockstar Sports bar. Its a kick ass venue, with lots of Dimebag pics and memoriums. The owner, Warren, made us feel right at home, and kept us tipsy all night on Black Tooth Grins. That night, we played with tribute bands, War Ensemble, Sweating Bullets, and Alcoholica. It was a great night of music and friends, and we got hammered drunk. It was also nice to hang out with our friends Little Miss Teri and Samantha Brown! And again, Warren, thank you so much for your hospitality. We look forward to coming back.

So after getting shit faced and stopping at Whataburger for some grub, we went back to our room. Pumpkin passed out in the SUV, so we locked him in it, setting the alarm and taking the keys. The instant I hit the bed in our room, I was gone. Sometime in the night, Pumpkin woke up and exited the vehicle. Pretty much woke up the entire hotel with the alarm going off and no way to turn it off. heheh.

The next day we had extra time before we had to head to Austin, so we took to acting like tourists. Kaige and I are die-hard Dallas Cowboys fans, so we took a little time to head to Texas Stadium. Once we got there and looked at the stadium, i swear i heard angels singing. But ofcourse, we had to go to the pro shop. Doc and Pumpkin were getting a little tired of telling me and Kaige that it was time to go. We were in Heaven. Everything you could think of with a Cowboys logo on it was there. But alas, we had no money to spend there, so it was time to go.

Then we headed over to Arlington to visit and pay our respects to he who came to rock, Dimebag Darrel. Standing at his grave site was so serious, even big ol' Pumpkin shed a tear. What a fucked up world it is when a man so full of energy and laughter gets killed for entertaining people. Brother Dimebag, we love you and miss you.

That night we played at Room 710 in Austin,TX. Austin is definately our kind of town. As soon as we got out of the suv, we were greeted by Billy Milano, the singer of  S.O.D. If you dont know S.O.D., you are so not metal. Anyway, the venue was really kick ass. It felt like a Chicago venue back in the day. Thank you Sergio for making us feel welcome, and hooking us up with drinks. At one point before the show, we went for a walk around the block. There was no less than 11 tattoo shops on this block. But the best part about Austin was our new favorite eatery, Hoek's Death Metal Pizza. Its a tiny pizza place, with a walk up window on the street, and a small bar inside to eat at. They have Death Metal cranked up on the stereo, and Star Wars playing on tv's. How much cooler could you get??

The show was great, and we made new friends with bands such as Headcrusher, who were fucking amazing, and Prey for Sleep, who tore it up! Thanks guys, you rocked! We really enjoyed Austin, and are already ready to return.

 When we left Austin, it was 3:00 in the morning and it was in the mid 70's. An hour later, we stopped for gas and it was fucking cold, in the low 30's. We payed for the fuel and were ready to pump when we discoverd the lock to hold the trigger on the gas pump was stripped, meaning we would have to hold the trigger by hand in the cold as weather. But when we started to pump the gas, the meter when slow as fuck. Apparently the pumps were cold, and this was gona take awhile. Our jackets were packed away, and we werent about to stand there freeze. So Pumpkin found a bungy strap to wrap around the handle so we could sit in the truck. It took 20 minutes to fill up. Once the amount got to what we thought should shut off, we got out of the truck and looked at the new gasoline lake we created in the parking lot, from gas pouring out of the truck. But we were already pretty slap happy by then, so we found it hilarious.

We traveled all night to Arkansas, and found a room just down the street from our venue in Conway. After we got cleaned up, we headed out to our meet-n-greet in Little Rock (normally just 20 minute drive from Canway). But a snow and ice storm had come to town, and people were freaking out. Arkansas doesnt see that kind of weather too much. So while we enjoyed hanging out with John at Been Around Records, the weather kept people from coming out. So we headed out to our show at Soundstage. With the ice coming down, the traffic was crawling. It took an hour and a half to go that 20 minute drive. As a result of the weather, the other bands were unable to make it to the venue. Many cars ended up in the ditch, and people boarded themselves up in their home. It looked as if we werent even gonna play. So we waited to see if anyone would show before making any decisions. But as soon as 2 people showed up and paid, we said "fuck it, lets give em a show." At this point, I had already blown out my voice. My lovely manager suggested i take it easy on singing, but ofcourse i had to rebel. It was only a crowd of 4, but they braved a wicked storm to see us, so I couldnt give me any less than 110% for that. Thank you Rhonda, Zeke, Houston and Gabbi for hangin out with us! After the show, we all went out for pizza and had some laughs.

The next morning, we were ready to head out to St. Louis. We were supposed to get to our manager's home early to hangout and rest before the show, but the storm had continued all night, and while it was no big deal to us (we're used to Chicago weather), apparently Arkansas doesnt own any snow plows, or salt trucks. All of the roads were backed up, and what should have been a 5 hour trip ended up being 11 hours. I had to call our manager and have her switch us to being the last band of the night in St. Louis and hoped we would make That on time. Oddly enough, the instant we hit the Missouri state line, the roads were totally clear. We all hailed Satan for Missouri having snow plows!!

When we got to our show at Cruisin'Rt 66, we had just enough time to go in and say hi to everyone before we had to load in to play. At this point, my voice was almost gone. Pumpkin had to do all the talking, and we had just spent a long ass time in the vehicle, but we gave everything we had left and rocked the place. It's always great to hang out with our many friends in St. Louis, and we have to thank the other bands, Gutterspike, CoinSlot and Burn The Machine.

So after a two hour break to play and chit-chat, it was back in the truck again to head home. We cant wait to do it all again! Thank you to all the venues who hosted our shows, all the bands who played with us, and the people we drank with, and ofcourse to Voodoo and our lovely Voodoo Queen for all they did to put this tour together for us. We love you guys.

Missouri, Texas and Arkansas, we shall return!!!

Hello sinners! Just keepin you updated on whats going on in the Thorn Fetish world. Yesterday, we shot footage for a video for "Legion". WE hope to let you see this video before the end of the year. WE're planning on putting together a dvd for an early 2009 release, so we're busy gathering footage from different shows, and behind the scenes with us acting like drunken idiots. On second thought, who's acting?? WE're gonna take our time with this project, to make sure you get the quality that Thorn Fetish always tries to deliver. So naturally, the dvd should include vulgarity, blasphemy, nudity, and ofcourse, loud and proud Rock n Roll. There will be videos, as well as interviews performed by the very lovely Lissy of Muen Magazine, and lots of backstage footage. WE plan on getting lots of footage from our first mini-tour coming up in December.

This is what we're most excited about! the Devil's Music Tour 2008! WE'll be doing 5 shows in a row, starting in Linn Creek,MO , then to Fort Worth,TX, and next Austin,TX, then Little Rock,AR and finally ending in our home away from home, St.Louis,MO! We really want to say thank you to all our new frineds who are helping us with all of this, including Metal Music Promotions, Yvonne's World, and ofcourse our own manager, the wonderful Voodoo Queen, Yvonne, for putting it all together.

WE've got lots of great shows coming already for 2009, including 2 kick ass shows at the Pearl Room with powerman 5000 and Wednesday 13. And in May, we're going back to Texas to Dripping Springs for the Thunder of Gods Festival. This is gonna be an amazing event, featuring bands from all over the world, in all the cool genres : Black Metal, Death Metal, Shock Rock, Industrial, & Goth. Its been extended to 4 days long, and includes camping for only $60 (advance tickets only). And best of all, we already have tickets for sale on our profile!! Get while you can, because the tickets are limited!!

By the next week or two, Thorn Fetish should be set up to accept credit cards for merchandise at our shows! Hopefully, this will encourage more people to get the merch we have, so that we can turn around and invest in NEW merch (we need hoodies and hats and all that shit).

Many of you are already aware of our beloved Voodoo Queen, Yvonne, who has been very helpful in expanding Thorn Fetish's territory to include the St. Louis area. And if you read our blogs and bulletins, you are probably aware of how much we have appreciated the hospitality she, and her family have extended towards us. Well at long last, we're making official this match made in hell. Thorn Fetish is officially under the management of Voodoo Queen Productions!

We have lots of growing to do together still, and we have yet to actually collaborate on what the boundaries and duties will be for each of us. But we in Thorn Fetish have known for some time now that Yvonne is probably the only one we would trust to actually handle our affairs for us. Giving control to anyone is not something we do lightly. But we love our queen, and we are excited to work hand in hand with her, and take this band to the next level. We'll keep you updated on how things progress. In the mean time, do us a favor and send her a message welcoming her to the "official" family!

Hail to the Queen!

Hey all you sinners! We hope this blog finds you well. Thought we'd take a moment to tell you about whats going on with Thorn Fetish, and some of the things that the future holds.

First off, we want to thank all of you who are helping with the voting process at makerockhistory.com . We truely appreciate all of your efforts, and ask that you keep it up. Voting goes until September 24th, and you can vote everyday! Once all that is over, there will be two other rounds, in which the voting process will be in the hands of judges. But until then, you have the power, so keep voting and let your voice be heard!

We dont have much planned for the month of August, accept for writing more songs, and a show with Nerve Damage, who will be playing their last show as a band. The new music is sounding very cool, and we will slowly unveil new songs in upcoming shows. Its hard for us, because the songs we normally play are almost 2 years old, yet so many people around the world are hearing them for the first time, thanks to the release of the cd. We want to make sure we dont neglect to play the songs you know and love, but again, we're excited about new songs, and as artistic people, we need new material to fuel our creativity.

We are working on new merchandise ideas (t-shirts, hats, dildos, etc.) and stage show ideas. While we will be keeping the band symbol of the girls and spike (probably forever), we are thinking of ideas for integrating the roman numeral VII. This is to go with our ever persevering ideal of following the seven deadly sins. We've got some cool ideas already, but we would also love to hear from you, the fans, about your ideas! So send em our way!

We are currently getting airplay from radio stations all over Europe, including Germany, Sweden, Austria, Ireland and more. And we're also receiving interest from a few Euro-labels. Maybe before too long, we'll get to tour Europe!

We'll be doing some traveling around the states this year, including more in the midwest such as Ohio and Missouri, as well as traveling out a little further to Texas! In May, we will be playing at the Thunder of gods festival in Dripping Springs,Texas. This is a 3 day festival of Metal, Industrial, and Gothic bands (headliners are My Life with the Thrill Kill Cult) as well as camping. We should have tickets for sale within the next week or two. Tickets are going to be $60, which is pretty cheap for 3 days of music and camping. Maybe its time to schedule your vacation trip now!

In November, we'll be playing the most bad ass venue in St.Louis, called Pop's, with our friends Soul Descenders. This is gonna be a huge show, and there is a very good possibility that we will have our friends in St.Luniverse help us film a live dvd (hopefully to be released in early 2009). Cross your fingers for this because its something we've been talking about doing for a long time!

There's other talk of being part of a compilation disc soon, and maybe eventually another Sinner's Sideshow. We are planning a big, bad ass Halloween spectacular at Cronie's on October 31st (yeah, thats right. Come see the great Pumpkin rise at midnight) This will probably include a costume contest (Ladies, one of the awards will go out for Skimpiest costume!) so get ready for a real freak show!!!

We hope to also be doing more for our favorite sponsors, Dreamgirls and Kilo Kai (Kilo Kai is a devilishly good Spiced Rum. Check it out!)

Thorn Fetish really needs your help! Normally, we wouldnt be the kind of band to beg people to vote for us for contests; however, we are taking a shot of having our dreams come true, but its only possible through you! As you have probably heard, Motley Crue has put together a contest, through which, one unknown band will get a chance, not only at a major record deal, but also to tour with Motley Crue on their 2009 Tour.

Anyone who knows us, knows that Motley is a huge influence of ours. If you know me, Dorian, personally then you know they are and have always been my favorite band. We want this shot! But its not up to us. Its up to you.

The preliminaries of the contest require people to vote for us. All you have to do is go to www.makerockhistory.com and register as a fan. Then, search for Thorn Fetish and vote for us. You can vote ONCE PER DAY, and thats exactly what we're asking of you! I know, you probably have better things to do. But look at it this way : You are taking control of the music scene! It doesnt matter what some A&R guy at some big record label says. This is decided by you, the true music listeners. Thorn Fetish has always been the underdog.

So, we are asking you, our true friends to help us out with this. Most of you log onto myspace at least once a day. We're asking you to take 2 minutes of each day that you get on your computer, and vote for us. The voting starts at midnight tonight (Aug 4th) and runs until September 24th. If you have multiple computers and emails, you may be able to vote a couple times a day. We're not asking you to go way out of your way for us. But as long as you're getting on your internet anyway, please just take that 2 minutes and help us reach our dreams.

I'm posting a flyer here, as well as on our main page, and it will be seen in bulletins daily (probably multiple times each day). If you want to help us besides through voting, then spread the flyer in your own bulletins as well! Print it out and tape it to your computer so that you remember to vote. Tell everyone you know, and lets see the underdogs finally get their chance! We've voted for plenty of models on myspace before. Now we're asking for your vote in return!
