Hey there everyone this Pat Hart, the lead singer of Lucky Friday! Today there isn’t much going on other than getting ready for our next studio session which happens to be tomorrow. Everyone has finished their respective parts for the most part, and all we have left to do now are some drum samples and maybe a few vocal parts by yours truly. However I must tell you all that tomorrow night at Studio 4 we will be debuting “Lucky Friday TV”. This is basically going to be our way of showing the world what we are up to whether it is a practice, a studio session, or just us doing anything band related. You can view these starting Monday night around 630 by going to www.ustream.tv and then looking for Lucky Friday. So if you were ever curious about what happens in the studio to beef up the tracks, this is your front row seat! Other than our new “tv show” and the new LP/EP (whichever I still don’t know the difference) there are a few happenings going on. Right now we are in the process of looking for some new venues and shows to play. We have a gig at Botto’s in Swedesboro, NJ coming up on April 11, but that’s about it for now unfortunately. I have been trying to get some more lyrics written, but to let you all in on a secret, I have been in a serious drought. This may be the worst case of writer’s block that I’ve ever experienced. The last full song that I wrote was “Break Your Heart” which is on the new album we’re putting out. That was sadly months ago. The music end isn’t doing too bad though. Songs are written and ready to be rehearsed, but the lyrics are nowhere to be found. I don’t know what it is to tell you the truth, I just don’t have that many momentous things happening right now that inspire lyrics. Maybe I need to go get hit by a truck or something and write about that…I know that was a little harsh, but I’m up for anything right now. I don’t want to keep writing about fighting with a girl, or apologizing to a girl…All of that makes me seem like a horrible boy friend! Well hopefully I can get a few ideas and put them down on pen and paper. Until then ya’ll have a pleasant day, and I’ll be in touch soon, and remember to tune in to Lucky Friday TV on Monday night! - Pat

LF Fans,
As you may have heard, WMMR is sponsoring this cool contest where bands submit YouTube videos for a chance to open for Coldplay at their July 25th show. So naturally this is the perfect chance to show Save Me and the pink flamingo to the world.
Now voting doesn't start until July 4th, but when it starts we are gonna need your help. Pretty much tons of bands are gonna submit videos, and we need your votes to push us into the Top 3. Once we are their, Coldplay themselves will pick and winner and the winner will get to play a 20 minute opening set attheir show. That's freakin' cool!
So we definitely need your votes once the contest starts. If we do in fact win the contest, we will have some sort of drawing where you, the fans, can have a shot at a free pair of tickets to the show (we will work out all of the details when it happens).
Keep your eyes open for more bulletins and blogs with further details!
Thanks for your support!
Rock on, Lucky Friday

Rock and Roll with a heart of soul, this Jersey quintet puts on a dynamic show with a clever blend of catchy pop hooks and sharp rock riffs.
Having known each other since grade school, the band first formed in April of 2001 as a result of a high school talent show. "We ended up winning the show and decided to stay together after that" says frontman, Pat Hart. The band named itself One Nine Crew. After the talent show the band immediately started writing original material together and booking shows as often as possible. "Having been friends for such a long time gave us instant chemistry when we started laying down our first songs" says guitar/keys player, Nick D'Errico. The band started to promote their shows with area venues and continously worked on refining their musical style. "We tried to play as many shows as we could, even private parties because we loved the energy of the crowd" says the band.
Not only did the group bond with their fans, they also developed friendships with other bands and musicians playing the same venues and worked together to promote each other's projects.
In addition to their original music, the band also played cover shows. "Ironically, playing cover songs gave us tremendous opportunities to further ourselves as musicians and performers" says bassist, Dave Cesare. It was important to the band to keep their cover shows varied so they always set a goal to include a new set of songs each time.
"As a performer, it was very challenging. We were learning new songs each week to keep our repertoire fresh including styles we've never played before. We wanted to be able to perform styles as authentically as we could" adds Pat. "By playing cover shows we not only got the chance to get up on stage and rock the house to new fans every time, but it also allowed us to prove ourselves as musicians as a whole" says Nick.
One Nine Crew continued to play their original music in addition to the cover shows and their original act was eventually signed to Purple Star Management, LLC owned by music producer, Mike Gendler and marketing director, Rachel De Barros.
"We were ready to put our original project in the spotlight and develop our sound as a band" says guitarist Dan Burns. "We spent months in intense writing sessions. We were fortunate to also work collaboratively with established songwriters," says Pat. Among them were Scot Sax (Faith Hill and Tim McGraw), Dave Robidoux (NFL Films), Alan Schaefer (Collective Soul), Dave Giorgio (Kidz Bop Records), and Gary Phillips (Wildhoney Music). "Having the opportunity to work with outside writers really tested us musically, and also helped think outside the box and made us better songwriters" adds Pat.
Now that the original project was on the right path and the band had embraced a sound all their own, they decided to change their name to Lucky Friday. The band is in the studio recording their first album as the new group and plans to release it in Fall '07.
