The solo acoustic shows that Colin is doing in New York are part of a group night with other performers and will be a chance to try out some new songs. He'll probably only get to play for around 45 minutes,so anyone planning to travel long distances should be aware that this is the case.

So we've just confirmed the very talented Emmett Tinley as support on the Irish tour in November. Emmett used to be in Irish band The Prayerboat and recently released his first solo album 'Attic Faith' to huge critical acclaim. Check out his website http://www.emmett-tinley.com

Hello there,
we've just about recovered from the last festival of the summer - Electric Picnic was amazing. We had a great gig on Saturday night, many thanks to all those who joined us in the Crawdaddy Arena, especially the girls who travelled from the U.K. Also, we have to mention "the climber" - a very enthusiastic Devlins fan who made it to the top of the marquee during "Waiting" - we hope security didn't catch you after you jumped and if they did we hope they didn't throw you out.
Over the weekend we got to see Arcade Fire who played after us as well as The Flaming Lips, Doves and the incredible Kraftwerk.
Our set was recorded by Ireand's 2fm radio station and will be broadcast/streamed at a later date, we'll keep you posted. We also recorded a live acoustic session for the Pet Sounds show on Today FM the following day - again, as soon as we know broadcast dates we'll let you know.
The ever-brilliant Loft at XM Radio are repeating the set we did for them a while ago. Broadcasts will be the week of Oct 17th on Monday at 12 noon & 9pm, Thursday 3pm & 9pm and Saturday at 6pm (all times Eastern). The site is at http://theloft.xmradio.com.
The latest single in Europe "Don't Let It Break Your Heart" is getting an iTunes exclusive release on 11th September. There are 2 bonus tracks with the download, both previously unreleased - "What Have We Learnt Today" and "Running Around".
Sorry we didn't get to give anyone advance notice about the live performance on the Ray D'Arcy show (todayfm.com). It was a last minute decision. Anyway, if you'd like to hear the cover of "Slave To Love", I can only suggest emailing the show and asking them to play it again and listen online.
That's all for now I think. I'm off to help Ireland qualify for the World Cup (by shouting loudly at the tv screen). Take care , x Peter.

So we all had a wonderful time in glorious Killarney, SW Ireland last weekend. The Devlins headlined the festival on Saturday night and would have played more than the three encores they did had it not been for the curfew. Many thanks to all those who attended, especially those who travelled from all over the country and the people we met from the U.K. and the U.S.
We all stayed on for a few days to enjoy the wonderful hospitality of the South West. If anyone is planning a trip there we can recommend the magnificent Aghadoe Heights Hotel in Killarney - many thanks to all the staff for looking after everyone so well.
We're thinking of making another long weekend of it when we return for the Electric Picnic festival in Co Laois at the end of August - if we're festival fit enough! Cheers, Shocko.

....you lucky dinks! Yes, we fixed the problem and know you can download a few Devlins tracks (and browse some of the artwork while you're at it).
We're all off to the most beautiful part of Ireland this weekend (Kerry & Killarney) for a festival (The Devlins are headlining Saturday night).
The new single in Ireland ("Don't Let It Break Your Heart") is doing very well (straight in at no. 17 in the airplay charts this week), so if you're living in the Emerald Isle don't forget to request it on your local station.
Cheers,
Shocko.

It seems we're having problems with the myspace music download system. we finally got approval from the labels to allow downloads, but myspace editing software won't let us update and make the songs available. In the meantime, devs fans - what songs would you like to see posted (we can only put 3 at a time). remember they will be many peoples first intro to the band. i also spoke to the band and they have agreed to let us hear some previously unreleased material / rarities. cheers, shocko.

The Devlins played to a very hot and heaving full house at the Junction Festival last night (Co. Tipperary, Irl.). It was a loud and powerful electric set (full band) for the most part but a few acoustic numbers added to varied setlist spanning all four albums. Highlights were "People Still Believing" (Consent) which Colin dedicated to those who had lost their lives in the London bombings, "I Knew That" (Drift) and a blistering version of "Everything Comes Around" (Waves) which kick-started the proceedings. The last encore, "Static In The Flow" (Consent), brought the show to a crescendo and left the crowd screaming for more. All in all, another stellar live performance. Can't wait for the Electric Picnic and V festivals! Cheers, Shocko.
