The Music Is Taboo (cover versions and remixes of Renaldo and the Loaf) is now available as a FREE download from www.soundfromsilence.co.uk.

The project was Charles Klee's idea, he approached Renaldo and the Loaf not only with the idea but also with his own cover version of Bustle the Burgoo. Charles set up this MySpace page and the project was up and running.

Over the next year from September 2007 to September 2008 the contributions came in and it was only when the project closed and I sat down to compile the album that I realised how much music we had, and how good it sounded when heard all together.

For ease of burning to CD the compilation has been split into two volumes and contains over 100 minutes of music by 26 different artists, including Renaldo M, The Darkening Scale (Ted the Loaf), Andrew Liles. Cover art by Renaldo M is also included in the download. In addition to the download page there are two pages with complete track listings, links to all the artists and artwork, much of it supplied by the artists to accompany their track(s).

As with all Sound from Silence albums the music is free to download, but please click on the 'donate' button - it helps us keep producing the music and the website running!

As the ghost of Christmas past and (pre) Renaldo and the Loaf are put to bed, we reveal another glimpse of RATL before Struve and Sneff.
Deconstructed Dada began life as Dada Smoothed on the unreleased Tap-dancing In Slush, but by the wonders of modern technology it is now reborn as Deconstructed Dada.

For a limited time Renaldo and Ted have posted an unreleased, recently
rediscovered and forgotten Xmas tune that was squirreled away on a tape
from way back in 1978. It can be downloaded, virtually wrapped and given as
a present to those you.... love.
Jungle Bowels pre-dates Struve/Sneff and was recorded for fun in December
that year....

Alex now has copies of the soundtrack available for purchase - he says it's a really cool CD!
Purchase it from www.welldang.com (I just checked, it's not actually on the site yet but I'm sure Alex will be adding it to the page really soon)

Alex has updated the page with information about the film - http://www.turkeyworld.org/welldang/index.html.
He's also going to make the soundtrack available  on a CD, which will include the two RATL tracks, PLUS a remix of Aria Meica.

Our friend Charles Klee (http://www.myspace.com/ck4film)  from Arizona has come up with the idea for a new project called The Music is Taboo, which he will be co-ordinating. Collectively we are inviting you to submit your cover versions and remixes of RATL songs to The Music is Taboo.
Charles has himself contributed a cool version of Bustle the Burgoo from Swinging Larvae and we're also planning to submit remixes/new versions by RATL, Renaldo M and The Darkening Scale.
Hopefully a CD or CD-R of the best will be made available at some stage.
