after being away for most of this year, i'm wondering... "do people still go on myspace?" so here's an update as to what i've been doing whilst away:
(i'll put it in number order to keep it short.)

1. 8PAST finished our second album called "LAUNCH"
2. i left 8PAST because i'm moving to Merced, CA
3. i'm moving to Merced, CA to open my own frozen yogurt shop
4. my sister just got married
5. so did another 14 couples that i know
6. there's nothing to do in Merced, CA
7. so i made a new youtube channel
8. http://youtube.com/user/acetateprophets
9. it's a channel dedicated to playing acoustic hip-hop covers
10. i'll probably put up a new song once a week

and that's about it! if you still go on myspace and read my blog, send me a message and let me know how you are doing!

go here to add us for cool updates:

definitely easier to manage than our band's myspace, and we can all do it from our regular login page, instead of creating a separate one.

so for all of you guys who want to know what it's like to be a part of something great, like being a rockstar, here's your chance to be a part of it!

last week, i was very privileged to open for and play tambourine for my very goood friends, cast of thousands, who have been chosen as one of live 105's TOP 20 bands to open Not So Silent Night 2007! what they would like is for YOU to create an account in imeem.com, if you already haven't done so, then go to this link:
http://live105.imeem.com/music/-U4pGIHF/cast_of_thousands_serenade/

and vote 5 stars for the song "serenade", then leave a comment telling live 105 how awesome cast of thousands is because.... they really are!!!

i don't usually ask for personal favors, but if you could find 2 minutes of your time to do this and vote, i'd be indebted to you because a vote for cast of thousands is like a vote for yours truly.

so create an account:
https://www.imeem.com/createaccount.aspx

then vote!
http://live105.imeem.com/music/-U4pGIHF/cast_of_thousands_serenade/

if chosen as one of the TOP 5 bands, they will play a special show on DEC 3 at CAFE DU NORD in SF, to battle it out to open for great bands such as: paramore, jimmy eat world, modest mouse, spoon, and angels & airwaves!

after you have voted, or right before you vote, leave a comment or a message here, so that cast of thousands know who to thank when they win. they truly appreciate you for taking the time out of your busy life and voting for somebody you've never met (except through me). so they thank you!

come be a part of something extraordinary!
nate (tambourine player for cast of thousands) :P

... to living a balanced life.

so here is something for people who are worried about what they eat:
1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than
Americans.
2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than
Americans.
3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks
than Americans.
4. The Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and suffer fewer
heart attacks than Americans.
5. The Germans drink a lot of beer and eat lots of sausage and suffer
fewer heart attacks than Americans.

CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

... that i am totally looooooving Cast of Thousand's new album of the same title! all of the classic favorites are on there: wicked smile (which can also be found on the ant show: volume 1 compilation), washboard professional, serenade, the Y2K song, and obscenities. new favorites include: 44 frames, overnight lows, and pure as the undriven snow. lastly, i would like to see them play the time we have is counting down now. it kinda reminds me of pedro the lion. good stuff :P

it's chocolatey goodness from start to finish!
so come may 26 to the Bottom of the Hill and get their new album "This Is Where I Confess"... as well as Company Car's new album, "Collars", which i have yet to hear the finished version. it's sure to be a doozy! pebble theory will also be releasing their new album as well. it's a 3-for-1!!! and it doesn't get much better than these bands. you're in for a treat. did i mention that this show is all ages?

check out the new song on my profile! it's called breathe. let me know whatchu think! woot.

love, peace, and chicken grease,

it's great to see you again! work has been killer.

updates:
- kinson will be leaving 8past very soon, so we are looking for a new drummer.
- our next show is on may 10 at the red devil lounge.
- we are beginning to work on our new EP. it looks like it'll contain some new songs and remixes... and possibly a new drummer?
- i may audition to drum for marisma. it's not likely, but maybe if they need a fill-in for a show or two. :P
- the earthtones are working on their 3rd full length album and are gonna start performing with a live band hopefully sometime by summer.
- The Ant Show Compilation CD: Volume 1 came out this past thursday. go buy the cd and support local music!

there's more, but this is all i can think of off the top of my head.

let's do lunch!
