Cornerstone is right around the corner and we are already thinking about ways to make this years trip a lot of fun for everyone. If you have never been to Cornerstone Festival and you would like some more information you can check out their website at www.cornerstonefestival.com, you can check out our website at www.smellmyface.com, or you can send us any questions you may have and we will try to answer them to the best of our abilitiy. If you may be thinking that Cornerstone seems far away in Illinois just know that people from our group come from Maryland on the East Coast, California on the West Coast, and Texas on the Gulf Coast and everywhere in between. We also meet people every year from other countries who make the trip to come to Cornerstone. We have a blast every year and love making new friends so join us at Cornerstone Festival this summer and find out what everyone's talking about.

Seeing as tomorrow is Christmas I figured we could talk a little about the reason for the season. There is an old story that has been passed down from generation to generation throughout the ages. It tells of an expectant mother and a loving husband that made a long journey to a town where they had to pay their taxes. They came into town and tried to find a room, but were unsuccessful. They ended up with a roof over their heads because of a kind innkeeper that didn't have much but gave all he had. This little family brought their son into the world in a stable where several others came to visit upon hearing the news of this King's birth. Shepherds were told of the birth by angles from Heaven and dropped what they were doing to go see. Once they saw this King called Jesus they went out into the town and shared what they had seen with others, so they too could know what had happened. Wisemen came with gifts for this tiny King from a far off place. The Creator came as the creation to give a gift of life to all who would accept it. This gift is free and easy to take. As we spend time with our families over the next week just remember that more than presents and food and Santa, Jesus is the reason for the season. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
