There's a short interview in BangBang Radio Show's website. It's dubbed in Hungarian, but you can read the English transcript below. The program has interviewed James Johnston, Hugo Race and Terry Edwards among others so I'm in a stylish company.

April 2009

Would You tell us some words about your music career? Which bands have you played in? What is the reason you are working on your own nowadays?

There are few bands in my past, but there isn't much to say about them. I regard that time mostly as a learning experience: I learned what I want to do and also a lot of the technical side of making music. Finally I grew tired on making compromises. I had already done some music on my own, but in 2006 I came up with the name "Heroin and Your Veins" and decided to put all my effort on what would become my first album, "Dead People's Trails".

Is there anybody at your help in work? We've just seen you in a video playing with a complete band, however it seemed to be a fiction...

When playing live I have a band with me: a keyboard player, a bass player and a drummer. I play guitar and a floor tambourine. While recording my music I do everything on my own.

While listening to your music it would be difficult to realize the Finn origin. Do you find it "Finnish" at all? Who did you listen to at the beginning of your career?

I don't know if there's such a thing as a "Finnish" sound, but I tend to care about geographical borders as little as possible. I'm not interested in defining my music - it is what it is. My art taste has a big influence on my own music, but it's too diverse both stylistically and geographically to be summed in a short way.

How does the Finnish music scene look like these days?

There are some Finnish bands that I like (for example Magyar Posse, Joensuu 1685 and Echo Is Your Love), but other than that I don't really care.

Where did the name Heroin & Your Veins come from?

There's an American drug propaganda book with that name. I saw the book when I was thinking about a name for what I do and liked the sound of it. Like with most things related to my music there wasn't much rational reasoning behind the name.

What are you doing when not playing music? Do you have any civil job?

Music takes most of my time, but other than that I kill time with my family and occasionally contribute to various art projects.

Your videos reflect your musical world very well - are they self-made too, or do you have a "confidant"?

Thank you. Music is the most important art form for me, but it's not the only one that I'm interested in. I make my videos by myself excluding the shooting of Full Moon and Dry Humour which consists of live material and parts of The First Pain in which I appear.

Couple of positive Finnish album reviews have emerged: Desibeli.net and Imperiumi.

Nausea has been reviewed in Rumba (in Finnish). The review is fairly nice except that it begins with a false fact and ends with unargumented meanness.

Nausea can be pre-ordered at the Verdura Records Shop for 12 Euros. The shop ships internationally.

We will play at
Vastavirta-klubi in Tampere on Sunday April 19th. The other bands are 80th Disorder and The Alibies.

Cook was right (of course). Nausea will be released on April 15th. Like the first album Nausea will be released only in Finland and will be available for international orders through internet stores.

A trailer video for Nausea has just been released. You can watch it at Youtube.
