control.org - "degenerate"

So back in February I promised new material this year.  I've been chipping at it through the year.  There is no time like the last minute, but in fact there WILL be new control.org this year.  I am currently collecting from guests and laying down vocals on a new control.org album.  This will be completed this month and all going festively available in limited physical and digital formats as soon as reasonable.  No polish and shine, minimal self-congratulatory social netwr0king, no whoring to aggregators and online distributors, just some love from me to you.

I will post clips in the coming weeks.

peace

and here is the news release:

FON is please to announce the release of FON17: L'Echec de la Matiere as a FREE internet download.

L'Echec de la Matiere is an eclectic compilation of remixes and re-interpretations of tracks originally found on FON10: Triomphe de la Matiere by Perfection Plastic. All tracks are 320k CBR mp3s and a PDF of the artwork is included.

Many thanks to all the bands and their labels for contributing to this release and allowing us to give it away for FREE. Many of these bands are very well known and established in their respective genres and they have graciously agreed to provide their work here at no charge. If you can show some financial appreciation for this work, please consider buying their music from one of the links noted in the tracklisting found on http://www.forceofnature.cc/releases/?rid=FON17.

Current mood:  weird

Over the past few years there have been more than a few false starts where I thought control.org or c2 would come back into your ears. So without further ado I offer you proof that I'm not kidding. I have completed a new control.org track for a very cool physical compilation. The compilation is scheduled to drop in May and I will offer details as they solidify.

Further, there are 10 new tracks including a mix of the above roughed in for said new control.org album. My previous naming plan for the progression of org albums had this next one set to be called "accelerate". There was some ideas behind that and it was also before those assclowns REM put one out with the same name. Based on circumstances that have lead to this point and the way the material has been forming, the new control.org album will be called "degenerate". I will expand on this another time as we get closer.

Further proof that I shit you not, is I presented the above new track to a trusted long-time org supporter for some confidential reviewing and honest feedback. So here you go signed and dated proof of new material.  cheers to DJ I.Z.

If you are even still looking at this and/or pleased to read the above do hit me on the chat or email. After over a year of fighting to regain my musical online identity and some pretty tough circumstances making me want to throw music in the river, and a nearly 5 year hiatus since the last c2 gig, some fuel to the positive vibe fire would be much appreciated.

For those who will have stuck by me all this time, and to those who will pick me up with an honest ear I offer my sincere gratitude.  As control.org has never been terribly soup du jour or overtly shiney and over produced to placate the "I want it glossy, certified for mass consumption, free and by yesterday" crowd, you will be pleased to note that the new endeavour will be organic and rough around the edges in the nicest possible way.  Not saying there aren't a few surprises up sleeve... I'm so happy to be back that I invite you to "degenerate" !!!

so as not to exclude c2. There are a few remixes for others in the pipe by c2, and the planned forth concept album "quadrants" has had a good bit of the material binned. In riding my new wave of musical energy, there is an AWFUL LOT of pent up aggression and paradoxical pleasantness for the new c2 to conduit. so hold me to it, new c2 album this year

control freak records, c2 and control.org are all back!

CFR010 - mindstalker vs. djco2 "carbon stalker"
"side" project material from around 1998 that very few have ever heard. the smooth techno stylings of mindstalker's "mindstalker" EP vs. the dark drum and bass attack of djco2's EP "carbon attack" combined into a single package unaltered and unedited. i promise it's still an excellent listen. some of the coolest stuff to ever come out of the control camp.

audio samples are up on the control.org / c2 myspace profile

this release is to get the control freak ball rolling and to help finance production of upcoming releases. a positive response will help ensure that all the below projects rock with moderate vigour.
