Current mood: accomplished
After 40+ shows, 3 countries and pretty much the best 2 months of my life the summer tour is over. I want to thank everyone that came out to shows, booked shows, gave us a place to crash, made us food, checked us out and were overall just friendly awesome people. We met more amazing people on this tour then I can count. What is next for Offsides? Currently we are finishing up a Full Length It is looking like it will be released on Get Outta Town Records, so please watch out for that. I am really proud of how it is shaping up. This winter we are planning a east coast tour, but sadly won't be playing out that much. I am getting my butt in gear to finish college this year so things will be a little slow. After May though we are going to start to do a lot more touring. So thats that!
This summer was incredible, words really can't describe how great a time it was and how lucky I feel to get to not only tour the country with some of my all time favorite people, but also get to meet so many extremely amazing people. I've put a few pictures up of some of the shows.
Some bands to check out (to name just a few of the awesome bands we played with this summer): Homewrecker (ohio fast hc), La Arma Es La Palabra (Vegan Edge band from Monterey Mexico that blew me away!), Picking Up The Pieces (straight up HC from Mexico City and the nicest kids ever), Strong Belief (Monterey Band as well that rules really hard), Us Against The World (female fronted punk band that might be my new favorite band), Vacant State (vancouver pissed off HC), Decades, A Better Hope Foundation, Envision, Reach, Cross Check, Worlds.
Thanks!!! XXX Danielle

Current mood: excited
Here you go central america.... Split with No Harm Done Gone: Unaware or just
don't care, the reactions always the same. A world torn apart limb from
limb, robbed, enslaved and degraded to a point of hating themselves,
when the real culprit of their fate lies miles away. Diseased to die a
poison they never took, when black and white make red. Believing in the
myth created to keep people in their place but fists create a false
sense of control. Oppressed but unaware of the effects of liberty,
stuck in the leftovers of greed. You steal the day, but we fight for
the night. When there's nothing left to lose, we can see through the
dark.
With Great Honor Am
I guilty if it wasn't my blood that built this world? We know this made
up story taught to keep us in our place. Took the bounty of a land with
promises made and broken, we give thanks for all this violence
and deceit. Killing the savage, saving the man. Celebrating the rape
and murder, the seizing of the day, a people gone, smashed,
erased. Can't comprehend the cultures long past, the welfare act, the
commerce clause, the reservations, false convictions, stolen land,
taken children, barren wombs and long walk to death.
Vacant Lots Living
in exile, no home or help. Labeled as lazy and addicted. Excuses fly
for the squalor they call a life. Step over them on the street. Wasted
filth, not humanity. Used up, swept under, left to rot. It's time to
take off those polished shoes and try walking barefoot. The gravel, the
glass, it hurts.
It's A Struggle To Communicate EP Lyrics
TAKING IT Everyday the same People all around Who are they? Working towards the future, Unsure that there could be more Then money and success. Feeding off each others wants These expectations shape our lives Routine messing with the mind
A long walk on a neverending road We are trying so hard to fulfill the dream Accomplishing but accomplishing nothing for ourselves Its time to realize There’s more to today, then thoughts of tomorrow
Refusing to stand still, looking towards myself Letting go isn’t easy, but living isn’t supposed to be Demanding my life.
WAR OF CHOICE When home is gone, the lights are out Tired and alone, screaming for help Running till my chest can’t keep in my heart Knowing where I should be heading, trying to follow my feet Where’s there to go, what’s there to do, when life’s wearing down on me.
Yelling help me when no will come Realizing I’m done, but getting up Pushing forward, unwilling to stop Maybe I’ll be harder to break then I thought Forcing my eyes to focus On what’s living, what’s life, what’s this Everyone moment I keep myself hopeful In this life it’s easy to fall behind and miss everything.
Destroy myself, destroy the pain, take the easy way Hiding behind, not facing the fight of getting past today My head and my hands won’t destroy me The easy way out won’t control me War of choice.
POINTLESS Forcing a life when there are so many willing. Noooo The standards that you set You’ve got the job, the 401k Your value of affection is not found in what you have
Difference between life and living What you have, what they need
Reaching that time in life Complacency setting in And now your wondering What else can I posses?
Different between life and living What you want, what they need
Pointless Its not just selfish, its inhumane Forcing a life, destroying a dream Pointless.
ONGOING STORY Lives unaccounted for, easy to loose Having to escape everything you knew Pound the walls and clench your fists The situation stands still Wanting to defend, comfort, help The family, the people, the eyes looking to you Unable to cry out “look here, help me” When walls enclose no crminal, but a refugee. Different voices the same words spoken.
GONE Unaware or just don’t care, the reactions always the same A world torn apart limb from limb, robbed, enslaved and degraded To a point of hating themselves, when the real culprite of their fate Lies miles away.
Diseased to die with a poison they never took When black and white make red
Believing in the myth created to keep people in their place But fists create a false sense of control Oppressed but unaware of the effects of liberty Stuck in the leftovers of greed
Diseased to die with a poison they never took When black and white make red
You steal the day, but we fight for the night When there’s nothing left to loose, we can see through the dark.
AT ZERO Watching you disappear, unable to convey how you mean the world You are everything, you mean so much to me.
Can’t understand, there’s nothing I can do, but try to hold on for a little longer, try to hold onto you.
Pressing my face against the glass Trying to see you one more time Closed my eyes The only place I see you now is in my head
Hanging onto your last step, if only I could pull you back to me Needing to tell you, you are the world, words failing my love for you
Words failing, can’t understand Words failing, there’s nothing I can do Words failing, needing to tell you Words failing, my love for you Can’t understand why this is happening, there’s nothing I can do, needing to tell you, you are the world, words failing my love for you.

So springtime is approaching and as you may have noticed we have not exactly been playing a lot this winter. This is thanks to different members living in different places. We are doing a short spring break tour of the southeast and have a longer full US/Canada/Mexico tour in the works for the summer. Plans to record also keep getting pushed back, but right now its looking like we are going to try to record a full length this May. So be on the watch for that. If you live in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina or Virginia please come check us out next week! thanks!!! xxx Danielle/Offsides
