If you know me, you know I have a makeup addiction. I love MAC Cosmetics, but God knows I can't afford to shop for more than a couple items every few months. So in order to fulfill my addiction, I have had to find bargain cosmetics and tools for half [or even more!] the price of high end makeup.
The past few months, I've constantly watched makeup gurus on YouTube, and that alone has taught me to expand my horizons when it comes to makeup. I know that not everybody has free time to just sit in front of a computer and just watch videos, lol, so I wanted to save any readers and fellow make-up lovers, to some things I have discovered and now use in my daily makeup routine.
Enjoy!

Price: $24 [I paid another $10 for shipping]. Rating: 4/5 stars.

If you love eyeshadows, I suggest picking up a makeup palette from Coastal Scents. I own the 88 Eyeshadow Shimmer Palette, which has a variety of colors, from neutrals to rainbow colors, and everything in between. If you don't like shimmer, I'd suggest getting the matte version [but what the hay, just get both! hehe]. Anyways, I love using this palette if I want to use various colors at once. The shadows have pretty good color pay off. Each eyeshadow pan is about the size of a dime and maybe about 3mm deep. Pretty small, but for 88 shadows, it's such a good bargain.

Price: ~$2. Rating: 5/5 stars.

I do not own any high end/professional brushes. Everything I buy is usually from Walgreens or Walmart and usually less than $5. But I've also learned that you can use something you can find at an arts and craft store: PAINT BRUSHES! A lot of makeup artists online have suggested using the Loew Cornell brand paint brushes. The one I use for eyeshadows is a Loew Cornell brush called 270 Maxine's Mop. I have a few others but this one is my favorite for standard eyeshadow application. It was pretty cheap too, and I found it at Michaels. You may have to rummage through brushes and feel if the brushes are good enough to hold product and apply on the skin. Think about it, paint brushes are great for creating art. Think of it as using makeup to create art. :]

Price: ~$6.  Rating: 4/5

I used to not like liquid eyeliner very much, because the ones I used to use never applied well, dark, or sleek enough, but ever since I've tried Revlon ColorStay liquid liner, I've used it in replace of pencil liner. It's easy to apply. The color goes on great. And the tip allows for a very clean line. I don't even really know of much high end eye liners, but for a drugstore product, I'd definitely recommend it! TIP: Check ULTA for sales. I recently bought 2 for $8, instead of the regular 1 for $6!

Price: $~4.  Rating: 4/5

Using a mixing medium has recently been added to my daily makeup routine. A mixing medium is great for turning powders into creams. I know MAC sells a mixing medium, but since watching videos online, I have learned what it is used for and how to make my own by using something you can find at your nearest drugstore [although, I'd suggest walmart]. What you need is:
- Pure Glycerin
- Water [I use bottled drinking water]
- Small bottle for storing

Mix 1 part Pure Glycerin and 3 parts water. Mix, and voila! You have a mixing medium. What I do is put about a drop of the liquid on my brush, and then dab the brush into my eyeshadow [obviously, one that's not a cream]. When you apply the product on your skin, it goes on creamy and makes my shadows easy to blend and makes the color pop.

On the left is eyeshadow with a mixing medium, and the one on the left is the eyeshadow applied dry. Can you see the difference?
Make it and try it for yourself!

I guess that's all I really have to share. If you have questions about anything, let me know!

One of the most irritating and obnoxious things people say is: "no offense" .

If you want to make some sort of statement or voice an opinion... JUST SAY IT! Don't apologize for having an opinion. Saying "no offense" can make your statement come off more offensive than you meant for it to be. Seriously though, this phrase can make even the nicest people come off as a total snob.

Now, I'm not condoning going around saying stupid things and not caring about hurting people's feelings but if you're truly afraid of offending somebody... then think before you open your big mouth! And choose your words carefully.

And if you just like being plain ole' mean and think by saying "no offense" makes it all better... too late. You'll look like a jerk with or without saying it.

For those who thrive off of using the phrase, here's some pointers. (thanks to http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com)

How to use "No offense, but..." in your daily speechings

  1. Before you make a statement, don't think. Ideally, you should achieve a Zen-like blankness, which is conducive to fucktardery. If you have to think, focus on cookies. Or bears, or bears made of cookies. Anything but what you're about to say.
  2. Make sure you have everyone's attention. You are the most important and educated person in the room. This is mission-critical.
  3. For maximum impact, just open your mouth and let a bunch of random shit fall out. This is called verbal diarrhea.

FUTURESEX/LOVESHOW 2007

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – GLENDALE/JOBING.COM ARENA

SUNDAY, JANUARY 14TH, 2007

By far, the best concert I've ever been to. I've only been to 2 others before this, but yeah, this was the best. The 2nd time I've seen Justin if you count seeing 'Nsync a few years back.

The stage is in the middle of the arena, which had extended platforms so he would walk a little closer to the audience. My seats were on one of those sides with the extended platform, about 15 rows up from the stage so I got really good views of Justin and the dancers when they went on the platform. You KNOW I was screaming and waving, actually hoping he might see me, haha. I know he didn't, sa'll good. Anywho, for different parts of the show, there were these really big screens that would go up and down, projecting Justin's performance. So basically you always had a good glimpse of Justin, which is how I took most of my pictures [cam phone]. Speaking of pictures, neither me or Hung brought in a camera. We HAD one, but Hung brought it back to his car, paranoid that security might have taken it away, but whaddya know, everybody and their moms had a camera. So I was a little bit upset with that, but oh well. I guess I should have just hidden in my purse really well.

My favorite parts of the show:
- His opening. At this point everybody's excited so when Justin finally starts singing "Futuresex/Lovesound", and those huge screens go up, you're basically like, OMGOMGOMGJUSTINNNNNNNN!!!!@$!@!! That's how I was, haha.

- I loved the songs he sang off of "Justified". "Senorita", "Last Night", "Like I Love You", "Take it from here". FUN FUN FUN! Oh yeah, and "Gone" from the 'Nsync days.

- "Until the End of Time" cuz it's my favorite song off the album. It's friggin' sexy.

- The interlude of "What Goes Around" he takes a video camera and his face is projected on those big screens. At the end he flicks off the camera, 'cuz you know, the song's supposed to be like a huge bitchslap. It was wonderful, haha. I bet that's gonna be the concept behind the video, if he comes out with one.  But then again, he kinda did that in "Cry Me A River" so maybe not.

- Timbaland was there too! I already knew this, but I didn't know he was gonna have his own set during the intermission. He played different mixes, mostly of major songs that we all know. It was pretty cool, it was like being in a club cuz the music doesn't stop.

- "Chop Me Up" was FUN. Felt like I was at a rap concert hahaha

- Everytime Justin would walk on the platform, I was screaming my head off. EVERYTIME! Made me realize how close I was.

- Him coming out at the end, playing the piano, singing "Another Song" was a great way to end the show. He was like, "Glendale… I gotta remember that." So hopefully Arizona was able to prove that we could party hard like Cali, haha. Arizona WAS his first stop out of California since the tour started.

Least favorite part:

- When it was over!

- Not having floor/VIP tickets. Srrsly. I'm a part of the fan club. Members SHOULD be given VIP tickets in my opinion, lol

- Bitches at the merchandise counter. Greedy fothermuckers!

So basically, the show was UH-MAY-ZING. I really liked the fact that he didn't rely on so many special effects, like pyrotechnics and stuff like that. It's basically just him performing and having fun. I honestly felt like I was at a nightclub/concert because the music doesn't stop [except before the very last song]. It's funny because I saw him being interviewed on TV yesterday and he said that's what he wanted the show to feel like, a club. I think he pulled it off really well. It's a really grown and sexy show.

I've been following Justin since the 'Nsync days. But I honestly enjoy him more as a solo artist. I don't know what show can top this, unless his NEXT tour is even better. That boy better come back to AZ. Screw Cali! Getting like 5 shows in a row from him. Bastards!

Here's a pretty good review of the show I found, about the Glendale show. Everything's on point in this.
