Hello everyone.

Rather than write a lengthy post about how pissed off we are at Eric, I'm just gonna keep this simple and informative.

Eric quit the band and left NY. He got an offer with a band that he's always loved more.
That said, TMTV is over.

Damon and I are working on a couple of new things.

One is a new band called Luck Be A Lady, which is a great 60's style pop band. Some of the new songs will be uploaded to the site soon, so add us and check back for new recordings. It's nice to be working with these guys, they're a really cool group of people that understand the importance of good songwriting and recording. We also share a lot of the same influences, such as The Zombies, The Beatles and Velvet Underground, which has proven to be a good starting point.

The other is the vision of what we had hoped that TMTV would become, but never happened because we weren't allowed to move in that direction. It will be a very similar style as TMTV was, but will include a lot of other instruments, especially electric organ. This will start out as a recording project, and if all of the right members are found, we will play live. One of the main purposes for this project is to record the songs (late TMTV and others) that haven't been properly recorded yet. This band will not be named until the time is right.
I'd like to thank all of the fans, friends, and bands that we've shared the stage with, for the many years of support and friendship. Some of the greatest moments in my life have been shared with you all and TMTV. However, it is time to move on and we're really excited about the future.

hi, i'm selling all of the folowing instruments. i don't have a camera right now, so i'm posting pics that i stole from other websites. i would like all of these sell locally since i really like these instruments and want to see them go to people i know, but if not, i'll list them on ebay next week.

2000 Rickenbacker 4003 Bass: Fireglo. One or two minor chips in the finish. Comes with RIC case. $1000. I used this one to record our first EP, Hit It! Rickenbacker has a one year waiting list to order guitars from them, so this would be a good opportunity for someone who wants one now...and for hundreds less.

example pic:

Tanglewood Violin Bass: this is a "beatle" bass. it sounds very good and is in mint condition. Made in the UK. i'll consider offers around $300. comes with hardshell case.

example pic:

Gretsch Historic Series Hollowbody: This guitar is sweet. it's finished in translucent orange. it's the same model as in the pic below, except that it doesn't have a bigsby bridge, so it actually stays in tune. It's autographed on the back of the headstock by Wayne "The Train" Hancock. there's one on ebay right now that is up to $750. i'll take $550 OBO. comes with gig bag.

example pic:

i also have a cheap upright bass that i'm thinking about selling. it has a low spot on the fingerboard where the C note is. i'm sute it could be easily fixed by a guitar repairman. i'll consider any offer for this, however i'm not just giving it away. it's worth it to me to keep it as a living room adornment if i can't get a couple hundred out of it.

So, it's that time of year again...the Oklahoma Gazette's 'Best Of OKC' ballots have been counted and we've been nominated as one of the top 5 best local bands in oklahoma city. we'll most likely be beaten out by Toby (motherfuckin') Keith again, just like last year, but it would be cool if you guys voted for us anyway. it would be reaaallllly cool if we could find some way to stuff the e-ballot box and make this the first year for a rock and roll band to win the award. we'll post a bulletin reminder for you's guy's when the run-off ballot issues hit the streets, which is july 20th & 27th. we want to thank all of you that voted for us on the first ballots. you people are the best. reminds me of a song.. ahem: I've lost at love before got mad and closed the door but you said try, just once more I chose you for the one now I'm havin' so much fun you treated me so kind I'm about to lose my mind You made me so very happy I'm so glad you came into my life The others were untrue but when it came to lovin' you I'd spend my whole life with you 'cause you came and you took control you touched my very soul you always showed me that lovin' you is where it's at You made me so very happy I'm so glad you came into my life I love you so much it seems You're even in my dreams I can hear you yeah I can hear you calling me I'm so in love with you all I ever want to do is thank you baby thank you baby You made me so very happy you made me so very happy baby I'm so glad you came into my life Ev'ry day of my life I wanna thank you You made me so very happy Oh, I wanna spend my life with you thank you baby thank you baby

hey, we have 12 new songs since 'hit it!' came out. holy fuck! that might not seem like a lot to all you people who write 12 songs a day, but it's quite an acheivement for assholes like us that are always livin' the crazy life instead of dreaming about it. i almost gleefully wet myself last night when we counted them up. how did we find time to write 12 complete songs in 1 1/2 years? i'm shocked. i googled 'new songs' for this special occasion, here's what i found: hmmm. sweet sweet leonard cohen. o.m.g. welllll....hello there. awwww. "i want people to see my fun side on this new album. briarpatch is gonna change the world, man."

here's the deal. we understand how annoying this whole thing is when random bands try to add you as friends. we don't do that...unless we know you. this may be the slowest way to promote our band and get fans, but we feel that if you like us then you'll make the first move. when we look at our friends list, we get a good feeling out of knowing that you wanted to be there and added yourself. thanks for adding us.

our band was mentioned 5 seperate times in last week's oklahoma gazette. that is just ridiculous...but what's even more ridiculous is some of the things written. here are a couple, ahem... 1) "i defy you to find one record that rocks your ass harder" refering to our e.p. 'hit it!' 2) "it's a SLEDGEHAMMER DANCE PARTY anchored by eric green's GARGANTUAN drums and the hoarse screams of damon and dylan boelte." wow.

hello everyone, we'll be shooting a "rock video" sometime in the near future and we need your help. part of the shoot will take place at VZD's and the other part will be shot at an "undisclosed location somewhere downtown". this project will be directed, shot, edited, produced, and whatever the hell else by the video genius, Derek Doublin. he carries a whip...and he's so "creative" that he hates the word "creative." this isn't going to be some fancy mtv2 looking cookie-cutter tripe that glorifies our good looks...no, just a balls-out, crazy as hell rock video. it's mainly going to be used on our website and in our promo pack. so there you have it, the truth. just know this - the crazier the shot we get of you, the more likely it will be used in the final sha-bang. in other words, come prepared to get down. here's what you get: VZD's Shoot - probably no cover. probably a Free Keg of Killian's draws until the keg dies. we'll probably have some other shit to give away. Downtown - don't know yet, probably some booze and other goodies to get you all crazy. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY - you'll be able to say, "yeah dude, i'm in the twenty minutes to vegas video. yeah, i totally know those guys...we're like, best friends and stuff. on the shoot dylan gave me a handful of pills and said that they were loritabs, but i was too scared to take them, so i sold them to kids at school and they acted all fucked up. turns out that they were actually vitamins, and the people that took them were faking. oh man...that dylan is one funny/sneaky/downright respectable motherfucker." MORE DETAILS (dates, times, etc.) TO FOLLOW thanks, i'm thinking that this will be a lot of fun for all of us.

"A Twenty Minutes to Vegas live show is like every great Rock n' Roll moment concentrated into a small pill that you pop once and are hopelessly addicted to for the rest of your life. You stay high for an hour or so, have the time of your life, but then what? You spend those following days in withdrawal, trying to score when finally you get the hook-up. In little dance hall violating fire codes in the middle of town. Very little light. Too much smoke. Horrible Goddamn anxiety. Just when you think you are about to lose your mind from the anticipation, a voice greets you from the darkness "Good evening, brothers and sisters. Are you ready?". Ladies and Gentlemen, your dealer has arrived." -Derek Moville, Virus Magazine
