Current mood: full
Hello world of mutes in phone booths, The Young Equestrians are not playing any shows until April-May 2008. We have a good reason. Two of us, Rich and Mikey, have moved to Ghana for a while to work on an archive of West African pop music, to learn what they can about playing said musics, and to play and write endlessly. Also, to experience some sincere confusion after years in New York. Chris and Shayna will of course be doing their thing, which only they know how to do, in NYC in the meantime. We are excited to get together and play again, and you can bet your shirt that´s what we´re going to do.

Current mood: shocked
Hello sweet virtual world. We have finished our first record, Beware of the Hurry Sickness. It is a collection of recordings hewn from casual live improvisations in `[some of] our Brooklyn apartment in winter 2006-7. Because it was often snowing, and often nighttime, and the glow of an artificial Niagara Falls was our light source, it sounds the way it does. We did nothing to change this sound other than mix and master it.
In summer of 2008, it will be released digitally and also in lovingly handmade physical containers. These were each handcut, screen printed, hand folded and sewn. More on this later, because we need to figure it out.
