Why?

You may be asking have we set up another MySpace page.

The simple reason is that a couple of weeks ago MySpace apparently culled several thousand profiles from a server by mistake!

Unfortunately we were caught up in this mess and have had to re-build a new profile for ourselves.

Our old profile is still on line but unfortunate we cannot reply to any post you send us or comments. This profile will be removed within the next few days.

Anyhow if you are now our new friend once again delete the old profile and add this new Buzz one...

OK, so you have a band and you want to play The Buzz.

Excellent, thats just what we wanted to hear.

If you have been to The Buzz then you might have some idea about what the night is all about, what styles of music we play and how superb our crowd is. If not then please take a few moments to either check out our MySpace page http://www.myspace.com/thebuzzcool or our website at http://www.thebuzzco.com/

As you will see we are not your usual run of the mill indie/alternative/school disco club night and having run The Buzz since 1995 we know a thing or two about what exactly we do like, and its none of the above.

So youve checked out the night or at least visited the websites and you still think your band will please and tease our crowd.

Wonderful!

Heres a list of things to bear in mind.

  • We only have a limited amount of dates in a year so if you see one free that you can honour make a note of it and let us know. If you have to cancel let us know ASAP as we have hundreds of other bands trying for a spot.
  • We do not like to book acts more than 6 months ahead due to logistical reasons. However for overseas bands we obviously make an exception to this rule.
  • We occasionally have support slots so please tell us if you are interested in any of these.
  • Demos arent always needed, especially if you have a MySpace account with your music posted. However we do insist on either being able to download a selection of your tunes or you emailing them to us. We like to at least be able to test your tunes out at the club and also play them on our PodCast radio and place them on our website. Please contact us via email if you would prefer to send us a demo thebuzzco@btopenworld.com and we will supply you with a postal address.
  • We also require a band photo for promotional purposes and a full press release/history.
  • We have a full PA and will need your PA requirements at the time of booking.
  • Please only contact us about band booking though The Buzz MySpace page or our email address not through our personal MySpace pages.

See its quite easy, we dont bite and you will have a superb gig with us.  Just check out or feedback and images or just ask other bands that have played.

Keep Buzzin

Doctor Robert
