It's that time of year again!
It's cold and ugly (except that it's 55 degrees in Brooklyn today?), everyone's sick and in a bad mood, the global economy is crumbling around our feet... and Valentines Day is right around the corner!
We had so much fun making last year's VDay EP LOVE WILL REIGN SUPREME that we decided to do it again.
This year's is called EMPIRE OF LOVE.
We attempted songs by Kanye West and the Dixie Chicks, among others. And, of course, it will be freeeee. Like love, sort of.
On Friday morning we'll be officially "releasing" it (assuming we can get it together by then), but to give you a headstart on your own famous Valentines Day mixtape, or "mp3 mix," or whatever it's called SPIN.com has graciously posted our cover of Kanye West's "Say You Will" and said nice things about it - check it out:
http://www.spin.com/articles/free-download-mobius-band-cover-kanye-west
And kid, just a word of advice: any girl worth her salt will prefer a good mix to a box of chocolates and flowers anyway. And put Bowie's "Modern Love" on it because that song is forever. Just sayin.
To celebrate, we're also playing a little show next Monday at Music Hall of Williamsburg with the Duke Spirit.
Monday, February 16 Music Hall of Williamsburg 66 North 6th St Brooklyn, NY
doors 7:30 / we're on at 8:30 18+ / $16 w/ the Duke Spirit

hello people, and happy 09!
hope you are all well in the new year.
we are up to our necks in writing songs and staring at computer screens, but have a couple one-off shows coming up to remind ourselves of what an actual show is like, including this Friday in DC as a sort of pre-game for Obama's inauguration with Middle Distance Runner. Hope to see you and some of the other 4 million people headed to Obama's big day.
Advance DC tickets are recommended and here: http://www.ticketalternative.com/Events/2998.aspx
after that, we'll be heading up to a completely empty house in the middle of nowhere this weekend to do some top secret recording (more on that soon), and then an NYC show at our beloved Bowery Ballroom on the 27th with Nightmares On Wax. more info. in the show section, but yes - advance tickets are recommended for this one too and just one click away: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0000416B8E0B4704?artistid=1272117&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=201

Hey there
Sorry for the last minute show cancellation nonsense at La Royale. We're here to make it up to you. Our friends and recent UK tour-mates Tokyo Police Club are traipsing around the states right now opening for Weezer. We were incredibly jealous, mainly because of that amazing "Pink Triangle" song. But all is forgiven, as we're going to join up with them for a night at Maxwell's next week.
Strangely enough, this may actually be our first ever show in New Jersey. We did, however, mix all of "Heaven" in Hoboken, and have driven your sweet highways and byways many a time. AND I saw Springsteen at Giants Stadium this summer (which was awesome). So it's not like we don't have love and respect for the fine state of New Jersey, as will be in ample evidence next Thursday night.
So:

Hey there
Our several seasons of constant touring has come to its summer break. Since October, we've played about 110 shows in 14 countries in 240 days (or something like that).
It has been a long, great time and we want to thank all the bands (Editors, Black Kids, Tokyo Police Club, Cut Copy, Sons & Daughters, Matthew Dear, Tigercity, Middle Distance Runner, The Epochs, and probably many many more) for making life much better on the road and for being universally awesome.
Everything is returning to normal back in Brooklyn but apparently we couldn't stay away for very long, as we have a FREE show this Sunday after the Breeders play at McCarren Pool. Hope to see you there.

hey there
It has been great fun rolling around the States these last few weeks with two fine bands from Melbourne, Australia and Jacksonville, Florida (that'd be Cut Copy and Black Kids). We have a couple dates left with those two, but the real news is that we are heading back to the UK (and Brussels, and Paris) again later this month!
We'll be playing with Tokyo Police Club this time, a band who, strangely enough, are from Canada. It should be a good time, and definitely not as cold as it was this February in the UK (right??).
We will also be reunited with our precious Marks & Spencer plastic-triangle sandwiches http://farm1.static.flickr.com/150/384517961_488797db2f.jpg?v=0
Here are the dates and ticket links for each are available via the show section on our page.
