Dreams,

Merry December!
After many attempts, Barbara and I finally found a way to
sell our hand-made LOVE Albums individually in all their glow! We have opened up a
store on the internet and can sell them to anywhere in the world -

www. thespinningleaves. etsy. com

Each one is individually decorated by The Spinning Leaves (b and me) -
in editions - and the covers showcase everything from collages of old
pictures and magazines to paint and stencils to buttons to actual
leaves and twigs.
Barbara and I conceived, dreamed, wrote, felt,
recorded, mixed, produced, performed, and manufactured these CDs.
And
we take great joy in that we can send them straight from our doorstep
to yours. They make a great unique gift fo sho.

I have also listed in the store some acorn necklaces I made with
acorns from New Hampshire. For the Christmas squirrel in you.

Love to you,
Michael Michael Mc Baker Shake

Current mood:snappy!
Geniuses,

We have finally mastered our record and successfully avoided selling our soul to a label to do it. And it sounds so great! We went to Delaware yesterday and hammered it out over some good banter with our friend Kyle Swartzwelder (he makes music too.
check it out - www. kyleswartz. com).
The colors are more vibrant now!

And now that everything has been rounded out, we have decided to post some songs that haven't been up previously. Lonely Firefly, Bad Dream, A Tale of the Northern Lights, and FIRE (complete with the long awaited campfire recordings) are all up now! Try, Try, Try, Try, Try, Try and Marigolds are up again as well but with newer versions. And you can download them all. And yes, share them with everyone who can hear and media that can spread.

soooo exciting fo sho. It's been a long time coming for the finish of this album and we were doing some big reflections last night as to how big it feels. At every step in this album, from recording to imagining and partnering with others and mixing and mastering, it has truly emanated a positive force.
We think that this has everything to do with the fact that so many people have had a hand in it, and we would like to extend our deepest thanks to those involved and list as many of them as we can think of out loud -

* Hezekiah Jones
* Carl Cheeseman (Boatload of Madmen, Joshua Park)
* Andy Keenan (Citizens Band Radio, Hezekiah Jones)
* Greg Morgan (Audible Eye)
* Jaron Olevsky (Amos Lee)
* Brian Nadav (Oudblues)
* Ryat (As Human)
* Jason Fraticelli (As Human, Oudblues, Matisyahu)
* Patrick Hughes (Melody Gardot, West Philadelphia Orchestra, Bobby Zenkel)
* Larry Toft (Philly trombone extraordinaire, WPO, Bobby Zenkel)
* Todd Henkin (The Great Unknown)
* Wes Mattheu (and the New Way Down)
* Bob Beach (Bob Beach trio, Harmonica extraordinaire)
* Alison Wadsworth (Unlikely Cowboy)
* Bevin Caulfield (Quintero)
* Annachristie (Sisters 3)
* Adrien Reju (The Lowlands)

Big thanks also to those that we've unintentionally left out who were involved in the recording parties both at Michael's house and Ryat's house.

Also, huge thanks to Rachel Russell for her crazy good energy and her immense tutelage and help in mixing. It made all the difference.

Thank you all.
There is immense beauty in moving together!

In other quick news, The Spinning Leaves have just been featured on the television for a Tuned In segment on ABC -

dear friends!
greetings from the rockingham public library in bellows falls, vt!
we miss you very very much and love you very very much.

the farm has been amazing.

the music has also been amazing.

we have been eating really good food.

helping to harvest all sorts of fruits and veggies.. and helping in a bakery! Really learning so much.

we have been sleeping in a yurt and when inside in the night it feels like a UFO.

Its amazing.

there is a 'tea garden' outside of our door filled with all sorts of herbs for teas and oils..

The people that we have been meeting through the farm in East Alstead are beautiful, and the people who we have been meeting in at this point Bellows Falls and Saxtons River Vt have been amazing.

If youre ever passing through the area make sure to stop off at PK's in Bellows Falls and Pleasent Valley Brewery in Saxtons River.

PK's has no sound system but is filled with very nice people and the space is tiny.

Patrick, the owner from Pleasent Valley Brewery which is a new-er establishment is planning on getting a sound system. He's the coolest and you can contact him through myspace.

We are about to go play a barn concert at Harlow's Farm and thankfully the sun is finally peaking through.

I have to get going, but LOVE LOVE LOVE to you. Be Safe, sound, and happy..
