Hey everybody. In case you can't tell if you've tried to contact us, we're busy..... real busy. Thanks for all of the e-mails, messages and phone calls!! At this point, 2009 is booked up and CLOSED and 2010 is starting to fill up quickly. If you want to come into the studio in the first half of 2010, don't hesitate - you need to contact us NOW!! Our present schedule is shown below. In case you wondering:  - 'booked and locked' means the time slot is closed, 'open' means the slot is available for booking, and 'contract out, but not locked' means we've sent out a contract for the slot but haven't received a signed contract and down payment. If you're interested in those slots you should definitely contact us, since, believe it or not, bands change their minds! Sometimes, they don't change their minds - just their timing, so contact us if you want to talk about coming into the studio with us, even if it looks like the slot you want is taken! The overall schedule looks like this:

December

Second half - booked and locked

January 2010

My name is Johnny Lucas.

I'm looking for a female singer that would be available for recording for the months of Sept and Oct or at least for most of those months. I am going to be recording in Philadelphia and the only thing you'd have to pay for would be your living expenses.

I'm a 25 year old musician from Buffalo, NY who is set to record with a reputable production company at the end of the summer and am looking for a girl aged 18-30 that can sing alto/soprano or both and has decent pitch.

If you can play any other instruments that would be great, but it is not a necessity.  Also if you have the ability to write, that would be excellent as well, but again it is not required.
You would not have to relocate permanently to do this, but would have to be willing to travel some to work on songs and record, and I would be willing to travel too.

Ability to learn harmonies is important and you would be singing alot. Appearance is also important but not everything.

I have demos posted at http://www.myspace.com/johnnywaynelucas for anyone who is interested, and I have other musicians who are going to be helping me with this as well.
As far as the sound, I'm looking for a mix of bands like Phoenix, The Postal Service, Stars etc and other electronic acts, but I also want pop hooks and a bit of a rock sound (think Jimmy Eat World or Anberlin).

If you have questions or want to chat send me an email. Even if you don't have experience with bands, it's not very important as long as you can sing and have the drive to do something substantial with your musical ability.

Thanks again,

Johnny

'A Loss For Words'

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to 'A Loss For Words' on the upcoming release (May 9) of their long-awaited debut LP, 'The Kids Can't Lose' on the  Willow Tree (http://www.myspace.com/willowtreerecords) label! These talented guys are amongst the hardest working bands around and also one of the most deserving of success. We couldn't be happier for those guys! Matty Arsenault (vocals), Mike Adams (bass, vocals), Marc Dangora (guitar, vocals) Nevada Smith (guitar, vocals) and Jack McHugh (drums) spent 8 weeks in the studio with us recording this amazing record last year and they put literally everything they had into this LP. They are also a hardcore crazy but incredibly fun bunch of guys to be around as well! The word is out and everyone is mad to get their hands on this record! Check out the songs they have up on their MySpace - http://www.myspace.com/alossforwords!!

We have been given the honor of re-producing their version of Michael Jackson's 'Beat It' for The Militia Group band "Driving East"! We started this morning, and so far it's turning out great. We are having such a good time doing this! Understanding how music was made 25 years ago is a real eye opener for us.

Check out http://www.myspace.com/drivingeast and give these guys some love!
