July 31, 2009 - Friday
Today's a big day for me and for "Wolves of Odin" fans, because it marks the official start of the webcomic. From this point on, I'll be trying my best to post a new page every monday and friday. If you have friends who are into fantasy or Norse mythology or the supernatural or just comic books in general, tell 'em all about the webcomic - send 'em the link! Help spread the word. Finally the saga of vikings and werewolves continues, and I've got quite a few fun surprises on the way. (And, of course, if you haven't picked up the first volume yet, what are ya waitin' for? Now's the time to get caught up!) So go add WolvesOfOdin.com to your bookmarks and enjoy the ride.

July 8, 2009 - Wednesday
In case you missed my big news over at the official blog. ;) Beginning July 31st, 2009, the WOLVES OF ODIN saga continues in an all-new webcomic format! Two new pages every week, free for everyone to enjoy online.
~~~~~~~ Out of anger, Odin, Father of the Norse Gods, unleashed three unstoppable beasts upon mankind. But Thor, God of Thunder, interfered with Odin's plans and aided a warrior named Tyr by giving him the power he needed to ultimately defeat the wolves. Thus the battle ended, but in the aftermath, other events were set in motion. The spiteful witch Bergthora has given rise to a new breed of werewolf. They can shapeshift at will and hide among the north-men, drawing strength from the Earth itself. They are a threat to not only humanity, but to the gods as well. A war is coming. EXPERIENCE IT EVERY WEEK AT WOLVESOFODIN.COM ~~~~~~~
New characters! New adventures! All brought to you by "Wolves of Odin" creator Grant Gould. Be sure to bookmark the official site - WolvesOfOdin.com - and visit Grant and Super Real Graphics (booth #5331) at San Diego Comic-Con for a chance to own an 8x10 glossy print of the promotional artwork you see below. Spread the word... THE WOLVES ARE RETURNING!
April 21, 2009 - Tuesday
MicroCon is this sunday, April 26th, from 10am to 4pm in the Progress Center at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds (for more info, visit mncba.com). MicroCon's always a cool little one-day show. Lots of great artists and fun stuff to buy.
I'll have a table there and will be selling copies of Wolves of Odin, my '09 sketchbook, AND - for you Clone Wars lovers - prints of Rex and Ahsoka.
I will be doing sketches - black & white character headshots only. Since MicroCon's such a short event, I can only squeeze in a few requests (I'm guessing I'll only be able to finish about 5-10 sketches). So if you want one, try to get to my table right when the show opens and I'll get you on the list.
Thanks, everyone! Hope to see ya sunday.
November 13, 2008 - Thursday
My second five-page Clone Wars comic is now on StarWars.com -- Head over to starwars.com/clonewars/comic to check it out! Flip past the cover image and you'll see a table of contents. Click on the chapter called "Discount."
And don't forget to click on the "view full screen" option on the left side of the menu and play with the zoom buttons for best viewing and readability.
October 23, 2008 - Thursday
Yes, it's here already -- Star Wars Fan Days II & Sci-Fi Expo in Plano, Texas -- this weekend, October 25th and 26th! This show is JAM-FREAKIN'-PACKED with special guests. TV celebrities, Star Wars actors, Clone Wars voice actors, artists.. Click the link and check out the entire list.
There will be EXCLUSIVE FAN DAYS II ARTIST SKETCH CARDS at the show. Many artists (including myself) will be doing FREE quick pencil sketches on them, and then you can pay for additional inks or color if you so choose. I'll be doing sketches (headshot/busts only) throughout the weekend, and will have some misc. non-SW prints as well.
It's gonna be a great show, and the must-attend Star Wars fan event of 2008!
Head over to scifiexpo.com for more info.
October 7, 2008 - Tuesday
My first five-page Clone Wars comic is now on StarWars.com -- Head over to starwars.com/clonewars/comic to check it out! It's the one called "Procedure," and it serves as a direct tie-in to this friday's new episode.
Don't forget to click on the "view full screen" option on the left side of the menu for best viewing and readability. :)
October 3, 2008 - Friday
Starting today, StarWars.com is bringing you a new weekly Clone Wars online comic that will directly tie into that week's new episode on Cartoon Network. And since the series is kicking off with TWO new episodes this week, you're getting TWO new online comics as well! So everyone go bookmark the page and check it out every week: starwars.com/clonewars/comic
You'll notice there's a menu bar on the page that looks like this:
For best quality and readability, I recommend you click the "full screen view," which is the icon on the far left of the menu. You can turn pages by clicking and dragging, you can zoom in and out, you can print the pages if you want -- there are all sorts of cool features. Every week you'll see a new 5-page chapter, each one drawn by either myself, Tom Hodges, Katie Cook, or Jeff Carlisle. (My first pages will be next week.)
Again, the website is: starwars.com/clonewars/comic
or you can just find the link at StarWars.com.
September 29, 2008 - Monday
I wanted to mention something very cool (to me, at least). And, yes, I realize I'm kinda tootin' my own horn here, but being the massive BSG fan that I am, I don't care. It's exciting. :)
For their season 4 wrap party, the cast and crew of the show Battlestar Galactica was given this book as a gift (it isn't available to the public) -- it's a hard-bound, slip-cased, full color, amazingly cool "yearbook" that covers everything from episode summaries to cast and crew farewell letters. It's over 200 pages, filled with never-before-seen photos, and it's pretty much the holy grail for BSG lovers. So I had the great honor of being part of this book. One of the wonderful folks who organized and assembled it contacted me awhile back and asked if they could include some of my fan art. Obviously, I was hugely flattered, and it turns out I'm one of only two fan artists featured in there (Dylan Meconis is the other one). So it's just really awesome, and I feel like I'm an eensie weensie tiny little part of Battlestar history now.
Here's a photo of the page that shows my art:
I'm not going to post any other page photos. The book was meant as a gift to cast and crew and I wanna respect that. Maybe after the final episode airs next year, I'll email them and ask if it's okay to post some photos over at my BSG site, Battlestar Blog. :) But that's a long time off... And they'll probably tell me to go frak off anyway. :P
But seriously, THANK YOU to the BSG folks for inviting me to be part of the book.. It means a lot to me, and I'm incredibly honored.
My latest drawing feature is on StarWars.com now -- here's a link. And I'm sure I don't have to remind anyone that The Force Unleashed is now in stores and it looks suuhh-weeeeeeeet. :)
