And now for the main course! -------------------------------------------------------------------- As an integral part of pre-production, Bill (director) and Bill (cinematographer) test a variety of weapons in order to figure out what time period in which they want "Raptor Quest" to take place. For part 3, they take it down a notch and get a little bit primal!

Back for seconds? Well chew on this for a little while...--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As an integral part of pre-production, Bill (director) and Bill (cinematographer) test a variety of weapons in order to figure out what time period in which they want "Raptor Quest" to take place. In part 2 they get a little more medieval with their weaponry as they head over to the archery range. Since MySpace Video sucks Raptor Balls, pt2 has been having some technical difficulties. So if the video below doesn't work, watch pt 2 either on you tube or by clicking the iTunes link below (ITS FREE!)Raptor Quest - Video Blog #08 pt2

So as some of you may or may not have seen, "Raptor Quest" is already gathering internet buzz. I think this is a good sign that this movie is gonna be HUGE! The review is online here at Cinema Crazed: CLICK THE ABOVE PIC
As awesome as this pre-review is, I feel I should address some misconceptions/falsities portrayed in the pre-review:
---------------------
First of all Broke was a little better than pretty good, but I can overlook that because it's true that Zombie Island is great.
Also, Raptor Quest isn't just a "dinosaur movie" it's a RAPTOR movie! Big difference my friend, big difference!
And let's not overlook the biggestest mistake that you call Bill, Jeff in your review (Jeff was fired immediately after he tried to take over the project). So the "crew" is Bill and Bill. Make no mistake about it!
As for the reference to us not having a budget which it totally false. Bill's been booked like crazy with his lawn mowing service he started out in Glendale and I've gotten some sweet overtime working at Panera Bread (and they pay their employees really well!) Besides, Duel didn't have a big budget but look at what Spielberg's doing now. Everyone has to start small.
Oh and the plot, yeah we know what it's probably gonna be but we don't want to ruin it for the audience so it's secret.
And saying that the video blog is a lot like the Christopher Guest movies is waaaaay off! I mean this review must be lacking some serious movie knowledge. It was Christopher REEVE who was Superman, and the video blogs for Superman Returns didn't have Christopher Reeve in them, that was Bryan Singer!
As for the quips about us trying to get through the shoot with arguing or fighting, that's what we in the business refer to as creative differences. It happens on all kinds of movie sets. And by the way we can get through a "making of" and have gotten through 7 "making ofs" so far and have any more to come.
As for us creating our own "Man of La Mancha" well you again prove your lack of movie knowledge. It's actually called "el Mariachi" (it's Spanish) but your right in assuming our movie too will have insanely intense action mixed with a character driven plot and done in a foreign language (we're possibly going to do it in Native caveman language and subtitle the film as it's worked well lately for Mel Gibson movies like Apocalypto, The Passion of the Christ, and Braveheart).
He can't even spell improve right (there's an E at the end).
At least he understands that the project is not called Rafter Quest.
And the whole shirt incident wasn't to make it seem like we were making progress it was to make it easier for the audience to get that they were two separate blogs.
And we are going somewhere with this film… to the top!
Uhh Raptor Quest IS being promoted well enough and DOES have a cult following… count it 976 (and rising) friends on MySpace BOO-YAH bitch!
Okay our flyers were cheap, but we weren't gonna pay 10 times as much for a color copy- that's just bad producing. And I'm not sure what the embarrassing confrontation at Sundance was in reference to? But yeah there were some elitist pricks at Sundance.
But he should be excited to see where it's going because Raptor Quest is gonna rock real hard. Oh and just because it's a short, that doesn't mean we're not making a real film… unless you mean cuz we're shooting on digital, then yeah we wish we were shooting on film too but those cameras are a little too big and bulky…. They're like the Zack Morris phones of cameras.
And he's totally wrong about the website, it's off the hook. If anything he's probably jealous because his page sucks. I mean there's not even one animated gif on his site. How lame is that? Yeah buddy it's 2007, I think it's time you upgrade your site and get some animation on there!
--------------------
So yeah if you check out that aticle just keep those mistakes he made in mind when reading. But all in all we do appreciate the press and hopefully it'll get us a couple more hits on our page and keep that counter rolling up!

Current mood:appalled at Sherman's stupidity
Category: Blogging
This guy has no clue what's going on! I'm refering of course to the following article in the local paper:Stegosaurus Is My Second-Favorite Dinosaur.
Here's a few excerpts from this ill-informed writer's so called news article... "The bones in its face just make it look so cool. It's huge, its knees are awesome, and of course, it has tail spikes. I would be totally remiss if I didn't mention the sweet tail spikes."
<---not cool...cool---> The bones in it's face don't make it cool. Razor sharp teeth in it's face would, but oh wait... it's a Herbivore LAME! And the comments about it being huge with big knees, we're talking about what you look for in a kick ass dinosaur, not your ideal girlfriend. And let's not forget the tail spikes oh no, we can't do that! But oh wait I don't have to worry about the tail spikes because I can just shoot a stegosaurus in the head and bam! no more tail spike danger. That dinosaur is so weak.
"T-Rex is obviously my No. 1 dinosaur—that goes without saying. A common choice? Perhaps." Yeah an obvious choice. Let's all hop on the T-Rex bandwagon because we're so stupid we don't know any other dinosaur names, so I'll make that one my favorite. Here's a little bit of info, T-Rex is played out! 1993 called and it wants it's favorite dinosaur back!
"But I defy anyone to legitimately deny the raw power of that perfect killing machine." Uhh yeah ultimate killing machine? I think not. You ever see the arms on a T-Rex? There like a kindergarten girl's arms. And two fingers? Gimme a break. Not to mention the shear giant size of the dinosaur let's you know it's coming from miles away. All you have to do is look at a puddle or a glass of water, giving you plenty of time to hide. And let's not forget it's ultimate weakness, if you simply stop moving it can't see you. Now on the other hand (or claw if you will) we have the V-rap. Stealthy. Smart. And most of all DEADLY! This dinosaur hunts in packs, so even if you see one and hide, another one is right next to you about to rip your face off like John Travolta in that one John Woo movie! And let's not forget that hiding from a V-rap is made even more impossible when you take into account the fact that Raptors can open doors. Try doing that Mr. T-Rex. I pity the foo who can't open doors! And even if he could theoretically open a door, there's no way in hell he could fit through it. He'd just end up breaking through the wall, creating rumble and debris for you to hide under. Or you could just stand still and he wouldn't see you.
"Velociraptor and its claws or whatever" Yeah those claws will rip open your belly spilling your guts out as they eat you while you're still alive...or whatever.
"Of course, it could never edge out T-Rex. Just look at its teeth! " Yeah I think I will look at it's teeth because I can. I can just stand in front of it and not move and it's too stupid to eat me unless I run around with a flare or sit on a toilet!

Okay, enough ranting for the day. Just know that Sherman C Koltuck is retarded and knows nothing about dinosaurs. Any paleontologist will take out his trusty Raptor claw and show you exactly why Velociraptors are the number #1 dinosaur on the planet!... no the Universe!!!
