Hey hey, San Antonio looks like we'll be heading south for the Bob Marley Fest wich is being held at the SUNKEN GARDEN THEATER on NOV 10th.

Festival admission is $10 at the gate. Presale tickets are available at Hogwild Records (Main St. and Dewey by San Antonio College) and The Rock Box (Perrin-Beitel Rd.) Children 12 years and under are free.

The Tour features some of the nation's finest reggae and world music performances. A core group of 25 acts is invited to be part of the Tour each year. In each city on the Tour, local bands are added to provide a unique local character to the Festival. San Antonioâ€,,s performance schedule will be announced before tickets go on sale October 8.

Children of all ages are welcome at the Festival. As in previous years, the Tour will feature Caribbean and African arts and crafts along with some of the best foods from these regions. Many of these vendors have been traveling with the Tour for years.

New to the Festival this year will be the environmental theme. Coordinated by CoolOurCities.com, one section of the park will showcase environmental groups, products, and ideas devoted to saving money while benefiting the environment.

Each year the Festival benefits nonprofit organizations in each city. This yearâ€,,s beneficiaries are The Rape Crisis Center and The Celebration Circle. These groups are both are nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations.
