I suppose now would be a good opportunity to announce the departure of Andy from the band. He actually left a couple of weeks ago on muchos amicable terms, but I was loathe to say anything until we had decided exactly what will be happening in the near future with the band.
We'd just like to say a big thanks to the Savage for all his time and effort he has put into the band over the past 5+ years. He was there from the outset and it certainly is a lot different now he has gone. For one, we don't look as emo now without his floppy fringe. And the whole 80-84 thing doesn't work now. But don't worry folks, there's still plenty of power left in this Samson of a band.
As a consequence of this we have Darren from Dead Apprentice to play for us just for the gig we have lined up in December. However after that we will take a momentary step back to reinvent the band back to a single-guitarist status and you can bet your bottom AND top dollars that there's going to be a little twist.
All of this DOES NOT mean that the album is going to be any more delayed in anyway. It is WELL on its way to completion. We're just poor so can't afford to record as often as we would like to.
Ciao for now, innit.
Rob-san

Another week; another song.
It's the time for "El Pilgrim" today. This was the first song we wrote for the album way back when Greg first joined the band. It has seen some slight changes since then and we put it to one side for a while. It's now back in our live set and feels as fresh as ever.
This is yet another practice room recording. We started recording it in December 2006... and it's taken until this morning to do the final final final mix of it.
Enjoy! And if you're coming to see us at The Royal, you shall be experiencing this one first hand.
Next weekend this will be taken down and there'll be no more demos up here until the album is done when, of course, we shall be putting the proper recordings up.

The demo version of Next Two Lines is now up for your personal edification. This one was recorded in our practice room and mixed in Rob's bedroom. It's a bit rough round the edges but you get the idea.
Don't forget 9th May at the Royal!!!

The second selection from our album demos is now up for you to hear. It's called Korma Chorus (long story...) and is probably the most direct of all the songs on the album. Short and to the point, man. It was recorded live at Dubrek in approximately 2 minutes and 44 seconds.
Don't forget the 9th May!! Get your tickets now...

Hello Folks
It's been a while since we've updated this. Just as a apology we thought we'd be extra special to you all. The AlbumPeople keep asking about the album and where it is. Well, rest assured it IS on its way. We currently have 13 songs written for it, 7 of which we recorded the drums and bass to back in March (see the photos section...). The other 6 are well on their way to being ready to start recording. We really want this album to be perfect so it's taking a long time but in the end it'll be worth the wait. For all you impatient tykes we are putting the demo versions of 4 of our new songs up here for you to hear. Starting NOW we will be putting up a different one up each week over the next 4 weeks leading up the show in May (details below). First up is The Counting Song, one of the 3 "epics" of the album. Hope you enjoy. A new one will be up next Saturday, 19th April. Please remember that these are DEMO versions of the songs and not the versions that will appear on the album. Most of them were recorded soon after initially writing the songs and are just the basic concept of the song hastily recorded. The final versions will and do sound quite different. Also, bear in mind that the recordings themselves are not perfect and were mostly recorded in our practice room on a digital 12 track recorder. The Royal - 9th MayThe Royal ( theroyalderby.co.uk) is a brand new venue opening in Derby. It was formerly the Royal Banqueting Suite and it's opposite the old Debenhams in Victoria Street. It's got two rooms for gigs and will have regular club nights. It's going to be wicked! We'll have the honour of playing at the Kerrang Radio sponsored main room launch night with LostAlone, Wander Phantom and My Psychoanalyst. It's Friday the 9th May and you can get tickets in advance, in fact you SHOULD get tickets in advance because this bad boy is going to sell out, from the following places: gigantic.comseetickets.comHope to see you there! Laterz, Rob/IFPx

Hello Y'all
Quick update:
- Split 7" with Days Ago is out NOW!!! You can get it from most places (most notably some bargain prices on Amazon and for £2 in Derby's very own Reveal Records). It's also available as a download from most download sites, including iTunes. Remember, the 7" is limited to 500 copies and they're going fast!
- We've got a new song up. It's called For The Sake Of Science and we recorded it 2 years ago. Never really got around to using it for anything, but take a listen and tell us what you think - we may even consider playing it again....
- Don't forget we're playing with InMe at First Floor in Derby. That's on 12th August.
- Peace, love, music, etc. Something like that.
Rob.
