Yes folks, it's true!

This weekend, Downtown Ramblers was voted #1 European Bluegrass Band 2009 at the EWOB Festival in Voorthuizen!

We are of course very happy, proud and honored to have been given this title and we will do our best to represent European Bluegrass to the rest of the world.

Thanks to all of you who voted for us!

Internets globaliserande effekter tar sig rätt udda uttryck ibland. Att Göteborgsbandet Downtown Ramblers debutplatta kostar 14 dollar på amerikanska cdbaby och 329 kronor på svenska cdon får väl sägas falla under den kategorin. Hoppas inte det avskräcker potentiella lyssnare för Downtown ramblers skönt svängande bluegrass står i sina bästa stunder inte Union station långt efter, och i sångerskan Emelie Junsten har Göteborg sin alldeles egna Alison Krauss.

Howdy!

The Ep is hera at last!
Now all you bluegrass lovers can finally turn off your computers, insert our new Ep in your CD-player, sit back in your favorite armchair with a nice cup of coffe  and just relax. If you prefer some other drink that's totally okey with us!just don't forget to relax and perhaps sing along in the chorus now and then.

But there is a catch.
You have to buy the Ep first before you can do all this, fortunately we have made it very easy for you.
Just send us an e-mail and we'll take it from there.
Don't forget to go to Sälen this weekend for Country SM.

Hello bluegrass lovers!


We just added a new song (Run away) that we recorded last thursday. It's an original composition made by the newly engaged mandolin player, Oskar. Who, as a matter of fact, also is the youngest and most annoying person in the band.

hello country and bluegrass lovers. 

belive it or not but we have not written or played any songs of our own until this very day. this is a happy day, a day to remember, a day  to tell our grandchildren about, this is the day when we rehearsed not only one but two new songs written by bandmembers. and to tell you the truth ('cause we are and will always be a very  honest band) they where both good. hopefully we will record them soon and as soon as we do they will be out on the webb. but until then, have a great christmas
